If you want to stay on here it's not a very good idea to pick arguments with your betters.

Im thinking that Piquionne in a decent team may be quite useful, I mean he does come from Lyon and they dont have any bad players

Stephen Ireland - No chance to high wages, he is on 80k a week at city

Bellamy - No chance, mustg be 30 now and by his own admission only has 2 years left in him.

Joe Hart - No chance, he is Givens long term replacement, city will want to keep him.

Personally id go for any of the following;

Scott Parker
Angel Di maria
Van der vaart
Santa Cruz
Micah Richards
Joao Moutinho
Darren Bent

These are the type of quality that we need.

The likes of Doyle, Rodallega, Dorrans etc are NOT good enough if we want to be a really good team.

We probably couldnt get him unless we play Champions League but id love Villa to sign Wesley Sneijder, he's a class act in midfield.

We couldn't even then.

We have as much chance of signing Sneijder now that he is at Inter as we do of signing Ribery.

think we may be surprised as to who will be choosing our potential players next season, so foreign based players may be on the horizon *prays*

This the O'Neill to Anfield >Mark Hughes to us rumour, Greg?

Or are we making the General DOF?

don't know about the hughes bit but i have a mate who's related to one of the famous bootroom coaches, and IF FSW leaves for another club or resigns - obviously they don't want to sack him, MON will be their NO.1 target, and they believe he wouldn't be adverse to joining. Not saying it will happen but he's usually pretty spot-on with scouse stuff and he really, really doesn't want MON as manager so its not wishful thinking on his part :0)

Because O'Neill really has a history of choosing to go to turbulent clubs where he can't have his own way.

who knows, i'm just repeating what i've been told.. he is ambitious though and rescuing the once unbeatable scousers is a big job, probably the 2nd biggest in football .

A few Liverpool fans I know despise MON so that would be funny how many seconds it would take to see them go support AFC Liverpool.

I'd be honest that many people at Liverpool would consider it after last summer.

OK, away from the boring O'Neill to anfield she-ite, Id like to see parker at VP. I also think matty etherington would take us foward, as would tuncay. All are realistic MON targets. Up front id like Djibriel Cisse.

Failing that, Bosko Balaban has an impressive strike record...

Particularly skint ones who’ll finish below the current one he’s at.

parker's too old to my mind. we need a playmaker with a good 5 years left in him to build a team around, and a striker - same as last summer in fact. Probably a right-back as well if young is out the frame.

I could see it with new owners up there, it's the kind of challenge he'd take on.

But not with Laurel and Hardy in the boardroom.

We need more non-specialists. Players like Reo-Coker and Carew are problematic because they are specialists who can only really do one thing in one way, whereas players like Milner and Petrov can do many things in many different systems.
