Shaping up nicely for the weekend.  Will be in BRDC enclosure, anyone else going this year?

Brilliant start for Hamilton then, and Button - fair play to both.

Vettel showing again that he is a petulant child - cost him last season and will again this, their reliability issues at Red Bull are not helped by two very hot headed drivers that loathe each other.

Why Vettel felt the need to swerve across the track to try and put Webber in the wall from the start is beyond me, but also then meant he was inevitably going to take a whack off Hamilton.

Good result.

I like Webber and am especially happy that he got the result when he did not have equality of equipment.

Totally agree. Was pleased for Webber. Vettel and Horner seem to be snidey underhand buggers that are clearly in some kind of love affair, and Webber is fighting for parity, the only bonus is he does have the fastest car out there, and his team mate is as unreliable as they come due to his massive ego and petulant temperament. If Vettel wins the championship it will be completely down to the car, not the skill of the drive. Button last season when his car was no longer even in the fastest 4-5 eeked out results through grit, calculated risk and brilliant drives. Vettel needs all the world to kiss his arse to win races. Red Bull would be much better off to give the preference to the senior man, he looks way more likely to deliver the title.

That said, Hamilton is all round the best there is out there. Button in the races is supreme, but Hamilton is phenomenal in qualifying and then can follow through in the races. I did find it very amusing that snidey Hornet and Viscous Vettel spent the entire week saying Button and Hamilton will fall out soon, and then spectacularly showed that their own team is in complete turmoil. Very funny. Eddie Jordan asking the direct questions the others wouldn't to Horny made me chuckle too.

I was pleased Eddie asked Horner the question.

Good drive from Red Bull's self proclaimed number 2.

I think Eddie Jordan said it later on the forum but he said that Sebastien Vettel is very much the Red Bull man there and that Webber only got a drive with them because his agent (Briatore) worked on their deal to get Renault engines.

I also think what with the team and the high ups being Austrian they would much prefer a German driver to do well for them.

Indeed he is. Boring GP, Silverstone have missed a trick with the new circuit, for me.

I hope the Stewards do something.

Disgraceful.

The missus is a massive Massa fan. Needless to say, she's not best pleased today. In the sort of mood I was post-LC final at the injustice of it all.

I didn't realise it's been almost exactly a year since his bad accident.

I'm no Massa fan but he actually seems like a reasonable guy as opposed to the beneficiary of today's decision.

It looks like the FIA are going to do something.

They have pissed in the ocean! 65K fine for Ferrari as if that will make any difference. Point deduction and demoting that Spaniard to last would have  made the  Teams respect the rule.

Trouble is, Massa's race engineer said he was simply informing him that Alonso was catching him and apologising for the fact that he was overtaken afterwards.

Personally I don't believe a word of it but will the FIA be able to prove it was team orders?
