It'd be interested to see if that number is actually accurate, and how many of them are really classed as supporters, and not people like my missus who was told that she had to agree to be a West Ham fan or find another fella.

I read somewhere a few years back that we had approx 750,000 UK fans, but then I have no idea how accurate that was.

it actually has to happen to prevent the stadium becoming a white elephant. The problem being and it was clear the stadium had be used for top class atheletics, thus the need for a running track which all fans hate. From what I understand to have a removeable runnilng track would cost 10's if not 100's of millions and West Ham do not have that.

If it is not used for athletics then some of the funding bodies would ask for their money back, from West Ham and Gold/Sullivan as we saw at Blues wants a stadium for free.

Ah go on taxpayers, build them their stadium. Athletics isnt a real sport anyway according to Cackbeard. And dont worry about the running track. Just have the athletes run from one end of the pitch to the other as many times as needed.

She even managed to mention the "People's Club" and "Community" in the article as well. To be honest, I think she just dug up an old interview and substituted the words "Blues" with "West Ham"

She's there purely to try and get the OS for the club. If we go down it'll be totally pointless anyway, I can't see us filling out 60k+ for the visit of Doncaster.
