In these tough times on and off the pitch at Aston Villa Football Club it is worth remembering that there are bigger things in this world even though at times it seems there weren't.

Between her and her husband Marion Grainger, my Gran, followed the Villa through thick and thin for the majority of the 1900's and well into the 21st Century until she sadly passed away this time last year.

I will be spending today thinking about all the times I shared joy and pain with my Gran down at B6.

Every moment with a loved one, good or bad, is one to treasure. Something worth remembering by us all.

RIP Granny Grainger

Sorry to hear of your loss, Rob, sounds like she was a great lady. And what a fantastic Villa-supporting tradition in the family, all the way back to the very beginnings.

Thanks guys, it's a beautiful joint headstone for both my Gran and Grandad.

Tanworth-In-Arden cemetery is a stunning setting too. The musician Nick Drake is buried there as well I believe.
