Those of you who have read my book may remember the tribute to Dave Nolan at the end. If you haven't, he was only 45 and died last year in a freak accident in Thailand. He was a lovely bloke who, when he split up with his kids' mom actually took his four boys with him and brought them up himself.

Sadly, one of them, Lewis, died at the tender age of 24 a few weeks ago. It seems he had a heart attack. His dad Dave had a hole in the heart and the problems may have been hereditary.

Unbelievably tragic. RIP both.

Possibly the most heartbreaking thing about it, last year at his dad's funeral, Lewis seemed to take on the role of 'man of the family', the way he was looking after his brothers and his very young half-sister, even though he was quite distraught himself.

I'm filling up now remembering it.

A good friend of mine was considered Lewis' best friend. I met him a couple of times and he was always good for a laugh. Both are tragic losses.

RIP
