It's been there that long?

The reason I thought it was excellent is that all the caps are fitted, rather than the velcro/buckle/crap plasic locking thingies.

Was quite interested in a Claret & Blue Giants one, but the "SF" on the front was soooo big it looked ridiculous.  Toyed with the idea of an Indians one - I still quite like "Wild Thing" and of course there's a Cleveland connection.

Yep, although I don't think they were official NFl/MLB merchandise, if you get what I mean....

Those hats seem very expensive.

Anyhow, I always buy the adjustable ones. That way, on a hot day you can loosen it and if its windy you can tighten it up,

BTW Mac, how can you go for an Indians one ? The logo is hideous.

Just get one of these

Chicago Cubs, losing two games at home.........oh dear, oh dear !

The curse of the billy goat, black cat, Bartman (delete as applicable) looks to be heading into a second century.

Meanwhile the Deviless Rays are proving themselves to be for real by taking the first game against the Chi Sox

The look very good quality.  I'd go go for "replica" if I actually knew anything about it.

I did have a Red Sox one.  Lost it though - lord knows where.  I know appear to have mislaid my Yankees one - which I'm not too bothered about except it had my Villa Trust and "We're not fickle...." badges on it.

I absolutely prefer proper, fitted caps to those with adjustments at the back.

The Chicago Cubs rack up 100 years of failure

The Cubs make Small Heath seem successful

Meanwhile, the Brew Crew win against the Phillies and avoid elimination.

I went to see the Phillies at Citizen's Bank Park a couple of years ago against the Mets - watching the Phillie Phanatic ripping up the outfield on his quadbike and giving it to the crowd was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Go Phillies!!

The White Sox defeated the Twins in the play-off last night.

Therefore an all Windy City World Series is still possible.

I'm beginning to think this will happen. The meltdown of the financial system is surely the sign of approaching armageddon of which the culmination will be a White Sox v Cubs matchup

I also went to see the Yankees v Red Sox at Yankee stadium on 4 July this year - I sincerely hope its a Red Sox - Phillies World Series - that way, I win whoever wins  \:D/

Everybody hits! Woo hoo......

Joe Torre was one of only two ballplayers who ever refused to give an autograph....fecking bastard! (Tom Seaver was the other)

Ya gotta love Charlie Manuel though- he's like a good old grandad playing ball......

The lineup for the "Leagur Championship Series" (ie the semi finals) is now set.....

In the American League its the Tampa Bay Rays versus the Boston Red Sox

In the National League its the Los Angeles Dodgers versus the Philadelphia Phillies.

A Dodgers v Sox World Series would be a classic because of the Manny ("Manny-Being-Manny") Ramirez factor.

Of course I'm hoping that the Sox will prevail, but if not I'm OK with any of the others winning.

If the Sox don't win, MLB will have its 8th different champion in 9 years. Now that's something you don't get in the Premier League or NFL.
