I've been watching the full Red Sox games on youtube which has meant i'm always a day or two behind real time. What a weird series, at times some absolutely stunning baseball, at others, some of the worst i've seen. Now to try and find some way of watching the WS live online, for free.

One of my mates has got a ticket for Game 2. His first WS game after close to 60 years as a Sox fan.


Risso - if the series goes to 6/7 games you could probably sublet your hotel room and fund your whole trip. OK, the family might not like sleeping in the car, but you'd make some money :)

I was watching a bit of LA vs Milwaukee on TV last night. I had no clue what was going on whatsoever.  I’n sure there are nuances to it that are lost on me, but it looks like someone throws the ball and someone hits it.

In a nutshell that is it, just like with cricket.  Unfortunately, just like I don't have the patience to explain the nuances of cricket to Americans, I don't have the patience to do it for baseball either :-)

But in cricket there’s different types of bowling, different wickets to play on, the bounce plays a major part, the batsmen play as a partnership, etc.

There's different types of pitching. Baseball is a very skillful game but it takes quite a while to start picking it up.
