The Mets are putting us through the ringer. Again. To lighten the mood, Chase Utley should be made to do a walk of shame through Queens in his Dodgers uniform.

Wrigley was the most wonderful place on a sunny weekday afternoon. The most beautiful field (sorry Redsox) mixed with the joyful atmosphere of a few thousand folk bunking off work.

I was there a couple of times in the late nineties, before the owners realised that even basic maintenance was required.

I've mentioned before that I did a press event at the Hall of Fame in 2000 where I said that Wrigley was the worst of the 30 ballparks I'd visited in the previous six weeks in terms of actually watching a game of baseball.
I didn't think that I'd get off the stage alive.

I must have been back half a dozen times since then and the ballpark has improved a lot.

Another mate flew over to the USA for the last few games of the Mets regular season. He then went over to LA for the two games there and then back to NY for one game before heading home.

The Rangers @ Blue Jays game was nuts

That pitcher Dyson for the Rangers is a right knob. If you don't want a player to celebrate a Home Run, try not giving up the Home Run in the first place

Also, per ESPN........

2015 will be 1st postseason in which all 4 LCS teams have NOT won a World Series title in previous 20 seasons (LCS began in 1969)

It was mental when the catcher hit the batsman's bat when he was throwing the ball back to the pitcher and the Rangers were awarded the run. The umpire appeared to already have declared a dead ball but I don't know enough about the rules to understand whether this was all right or wrong. I thought the umpires must have had money on the Rangers because in the 14 innings game, the second one, they called a Rangers runner in even though his foot was clearly miles off the base. Still, justice prevailed and my team march on...

Now that was a great night. Lucky to have gotten a ticket and in all the years of living in this city I have never seen anything like it. The atmosphere was just insane, and bordering on getting out of hand. Thankfully the incident with Texas going in front didn't decide it. They fell apart and then were stabbed through the heart by Joey Bats. To come back from 2-0 down and win it like that, well you couldn't have scripted it any better! On to KC

My wife is a Jays fan and she was going through the ringer during the game, fair play to Bautista but Elvis Andrus must have pissed off the baseball gods somehow. The atmosphere sounded amazing TV and thankfully it didn't get out of hand, here is to a Cubs v Jays WS!

I know who won but am watching the Blue Jays game on MLBTV thanks to NowTV. Feels like i've been watching the 7th inning for hours. Most mental inning i've ever seen. Forgotten how much I love baseball at times. Especially October ball. Blue Jays aggro, hello hello, eh.

Disappointed the Astros lost, I think Rasmus is a cracking player in pretty much every game i've seen him in (which admittedly sin't that many). It was some choke the Astros did though.

I was following it online on the MLB website, not watching the game, and there seemed to be a hell of a lot of "Onfield Delay." Got the impression from Twitter that it was because the crowd were going mental?
