Nope I was trying to get over for the Fire game, hey ho, meetings didn't quite time right so miss it by a week.
However I have just been invited to the Yankees v Red Sox game on 18 August in the Bronx.
I'm hoping for a partisan atmosphere as the last few games I've been to (Cubs v Angels & Yankees v Orioles & Rays) have been pretty disappointing, am I setting my hopes too high for this game, it's still early season as well.
The only thing you may run into at a yanks sox game at the stadium is a lot of non-regulars.
When you get a ticket package, it is obviously expensive, and most people try to sell a few games to break even. The problem is that no one wants your M-T-W-Th yanks vs. mariners game.
So, to break even you usually sell one or two sox/yanks or mets/yanks tickets. At least this is what I used to do (and what my friends would do). That one ticket in the bleachers could get you $150 (and the 15 game pack only cost $325 to begin with).
So, long story longer, I usually found the sox/yanks crowds, especially on a weekend, to be a little different than usual.
