However, I doubt that I'll watch any more than a few highlights.

I did record the Futures Game last night to watch at some point.

Apparently both Gerrit Cole and Jamieson Taillon were impressive, which is good for the future of the Pirates.

I saw Taillon pitch for Bradenton against Fort Myers last month. He got absolutely shelled but still got promoted within a few days. I didn't see Cole pitch but I did man the camera as some friends stalked him for an autograph.

Come on, give us a clue what this means,

IP = innings pitched. H = hits. R = runs scored against him. ER = Earned runs against him. BB = base on balls (or walks). SO= strike outs. HR = home runs. ERA = Earned Run Average.

Basically, those numbers mean he was very shit.

Yep, an ERA of under around 4.00 (ie four runs conceded per every 9 innings pitched) would be reasonable.

Therefore in this game, Justin Verlander (who is one of the top handful of pitchers) was crap to the power of ten

I can't stand the concept of it.


Also, The Yankees are still rolling despite the injuries....

Nope I was trying to get over for the Fire game, hey ho, meetings didn't quite time right so miss it by a week.
However I have just been invited to the Yankees v Red Sox game on 18 August in the Bronx.

I'm hoping for a partisan atmosphere as the last few games I've been to (Cubs v Angels & Yankees v Orioles & Rays) have been pretty disappointing, am I setting my hopes too high for this game, it's still early season as well.
