Hey pmarachi, where's the pics of the new Death Star ?

I only have a few grainy pics on my bb that I uploaded to facebook (which I joined recently).

They are not as good when on the computer screen as I imagined.
I am going back soon though and will actually remember my camera next time.

(feel free to add me on the facespace and take a look though, Paul Marachi)

The place reminds me of a cross between Citizens Bank Park and Camden Yards

So, which is the best ballpark? Wrigley Field?

An absolute dump. Great history and atmosphere but, as of my last visit, the Cubs made no effort to keep the place clean and well maintained.

I did a press thing at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown after my 30 ballparks in 32 days trip. I told the crowd that Wrigley was the worst of the lot. I was lucky to get out alive.

Having said all that, guess where I'll be on Friday week ..... yep, Wrigley.

My favourites are........

Old ballparks - Fenway Park (Boston). No surprise there but the Sox management have made the most of the limited space available.

New ballparks - Oriole Park at Camden Yards (Baltimore). The standard by which all new ballparks are measured.

The worst for me are.......

Old ballparks - Wrigley (pending a re-visit next week)

New ballparks - Comerica (Detroit). My first visit was only three months after it opened and the concrete was already crumbling. They should never have left Tiger Stadium. That place was an absolute classic.

Everyone likes Camden yards the best.

The same people who did Camden Yards did yankee stadium.

I am telling you!

You need to get there!

You are only gonna be a 4 drive when you are in Boston!

It's worth it!

I was actually thinking, you know what's a great thing to do while in Boston?

Pack your stuff and go home!

This is one of the rare years when I don't go to Baltimore. I usually try to catch a few games there during my trips. Its a great place to see the Sox on the road.

Just got back to the hotel after watching Toronto's 14-0 hammering of the Chi Sox.

Despite it being 24 hours since I left the UK, I stayed to the end just in case there was a historic 15 run rally.

1 game down and 8 to go on this trip [plus Seattle @ Chicago MLS next Saturday)

I was scoreboard watching between innings at The Cell.

Yankees v Sox games, whether at Fenway or the Death Star, have the best sporting atmosphere you can get.

So I did a count today while out shopping with the wife & son.

I live 30 minutes from Yankee Stadium, and 3 hours from Fenway.

I counted:

Yankee Hats: 4

Red Sox Hats: 13

All the Yankee hats were on men.  All the Redsox hats were on women (except one).  One of them was pink.

pink...
