After spending another hour in the "Virtual Waiting Room" this morning, I was eventually able to buy my Sox tickets.

Seven games at Fenway in July. All at face-value and no obstructed views.........result !!!

you going to try to catch a game at the new yankee stadium?

I like Fenway a lot, I also like Citizens Bank Park in philadelphia.

I am psyched to get a new yankee stadium.  I LOVED the old stadium, but it seems like most people who were "upset" about getting a new stadium were the people who watched it on TV.

As someone who goes to games, I want a new awesome stadium.

Not on this trip.

I was invited to the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies next July. On that trip I'd have also gone to the two new NYC ballparks.

However, the trip out to Cooperstown would have meant at least two days without a baseball game. As much as I like Cooperstown itself, having been to a couple of inductions already, I've no real interest in going again,

What with the price of flights, and NYC hotels plus the high demand/cost for Yankees/Mets tix in the first season of their ballparks, I decided that it was more cost effective to just go to one city this time.

My trip to Boston is now for 10 games in 10 days. This is very unusual for me. Normally I stay in one place for no more than 5 days but more often or not just two (on one trip I spent 5 weeks watching games but only stayed in a city more than one night on two occasions).

(Im'sure it's in the thread somewhere, but the thread is 25 pages long)

I think that my explanation was on a previous thread.

However, check your PM's for something that explains all

UK Redsox,
When are your Redsox games?

I know something that goes on in the summer that you might be interested in.

July 4th weekend and the week after.

I'm carrying out an annual inspection to see if their "temporary" independence should be extended for another year.

You guys want to look foolish again?

Anyway, I know of something you might be interested that goes on in MA, CT and NY.

My friends have a team.  It is a vintage baseball league and they play in 1850's and 1860's rules. (one has a glove and catchers, the others doesn't)

The talk, the uniforms, the pitchers mounds, no gloves, the strike counts etc.

The whole thing.

I wouldn't even bet that coming from England they would let you play a game.
