Plenty of good shot-stoppers on that list. Bosnich could have been the best but ultimately never fulfilled.

Rimmer. I don't know what effect he had on the opposition, but by God he terrified me

A waste! Rimmer for me if only for the double save from the penalty in Berlin 1981[/quote]

I can still picture my dad's face. I was nine, I'd gone to bed, he was so excited he woke me up to tell me...

I love the Villa.

Rimmer for me as he was the keeper when I started going to VP regularly and he didn't seem to have any weakness.
Spink was a close second.
Bossie was excellent shot stopper but wasn't quite full package (or ticket).

Rimmer for me, Bozzie might have pushed him close but his kicking was absolute shite!

Has to be Jimmy Rimmer.
Bosnich could have been a great if only his head was right.

Bosnich was the best I have seen, that save from Mark Hughes in the 94 cup final at 2-1 won us the cup.

If he could kick a ball he would have been the best keeper in the world.

I thought it hit the post and then he saved the follow up?

I caught the very end of Spink and then Bosnich, so for me it wuold be Bossie.

Loved the 'Bossie, give us a wave...' chant as well.

Rimmer for me. Although a vague memory I dan remmeber being chuffed to bits when we signed him from Arsenal. I think it was for £125-150,000. Which was a fair whack then. 1977 wasn't it?

Rimmer was a great keeper in an era when there were half a dozen great English goalkeepers around. That's why he didn't get the caps he deserved.
No other Villa keeper comes close to his consistency.
