Something had to happen the defence just looked dodgy in the middle with Burridge.

Rimmer for me, Bozzie might have pushed him close but his kicking was absolute shite!

His kicking was awful when he first came into the side, but it did improve during his time at the club. Howler in the FA Cup final aside, I thought David James was a good during his time at Villa and so was Brad Friedel.

Rimmer although I am a bit young to remember him and can only go on tv footage, bossie would be my second choice.

Jimmy Rimmer for consistency. On a good day Bossie was better than all I have seen but he wasn't as consistent as Jimmee. And his kicking was worthy of a girl guide.....

Never saw Rimmer apart from on tape. So for me it would be:
1.Bosnich
2.Spink
3. James

For the benefit of Exeter and Damon, here's Jimmy's penalty save in Berlin, together with Tony Morley's world class second goal and 2 fingered salute to Sir Ron !

Bit fortunate as Jim had gone the wrong way for the original spot kick, but who knows if we would have got past the second round without this save ? Berlin were a great side and beat us at Villa Park.

The history books could be very different and for that reason, Jim gets my vote.

Spinksy for me, I always thought he would finish his career with us.
Least Favourite was Mervyn Day due to him being a right miserable bastard when I met  him at Bodymoor Heath.

Bosnich.

At his best, which happily was entirely for us, he was a match winning goalkeeper.

And he was a bit mental and good value with crowd.
