I agree that it adheres to its commercial imperative, and it might be worse now than at other times, and I don't think it's a problem pointing it out - saying it's part of an anti-Villa conspiracy obviously is silly, but saying shit things are shit when you see them being shit strikes me as something a person can do.
Haaland being marked by Torres is a worrying prospect. I hope my ‘waters’ are wrong is all I’ll say about this one!
I think putting Mings in to deal with Haaland would be a massive mistake. Not only is Mings not good enough to do that (is anyone?) but we lose our best defensive partnership and Torres’ is so important to everything we do well. I do think our only way of getting something from this is by really getting at them. We won’t win by slowing everything down.
Haaland has scored in his last 12 games for club and country, and in 19 of his last 21. So he won't score today.
