Just watched on You Tube Pub Talk with Lee Hendrie - heartbreaking to listen to him talking about trying to end his life

If anyone has a spare 30 minutes well worth a listen

It cuts Sid, he wasn't my best mate but came to our school in 5th year and we played together in the school team. Especially so as we buried another lad in our year on Monday, gone way too soon because life got on top of him

I like Lee and am glad he got through his struggles.

What I will say, however, is that I get frustrated when I hear him in podcasts etc. because his memory is clearly awful! He is always getting seasons, dates mixed up. Thinking a certain player was in the side at a certain point even though they had been sold a year or two earlier etc.

But that's just my OCD!

I loved him more than he probably warranted, he ticked all the boxes for me - homegrown/Villa fan*, technically very gifted and always celebrated a goal like one of us would i.e. by going feckin' mental.
Always stuck up for him on here even when he made it difficult to do so. I think only Jane H&Ver was more of a fan!

I'm quite impressed at how polished he has become as a pundit because some of the off-the-field stuff he got up to suggested that he'd never grow-up.
I haven't watched this but will do so, cheers.

*Yes, his family was Blose which casts aspersions on his credentials but he was with us from 15-30, that's Villa enough for me.
