You shouldn't knock him - he's won almost as many Premier League titles as Marc Albrighton has.
George Boateng was one of my favourite players. Hard as nails and so important in our midfield. Wish we had a player like him now.

Excellent.I'd quite like Gerrard to simply vanish. Massively overrated. It was wonderful to beat them in the cup semi final last year. He was garbage fir England, and a pea headed dirty thug to boot. Good riddance.
I didn't want to glorify him by putting his name in the topic heading but with all the sycophancy of Gerrard retiring today his name still only makes me think of that awful challenge on George Boateng in 2001.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7_r1ppTJVEI6.38 secs in."Gerrard went in forcefully". Dirty bastard. I suppose Murphys on tonight saying he's world class.
He was well past his best in that semi but I think you're re-writing history around his ability. He played in pretty mediocre Liverpool sides in the 2000s but consistently lifted their performances. His trophy haul is testament to that as is his goalscoring record of one in about 3.5 over 700 games.
