We've been carrying Gabby for too many seasons now and he hasn't done anything. Not alone should he not be a potential captain,  he shouldn't still be at the club. Too shite for too long.  After that I can't see a strong enough player in our squad from last season that deserves to be captain. Maybe one of the new guys can show themselves this season as a leader.

Not Gabby, no, no, no. Gives completely the wrong message. The armband for those who really can't be bothered? I thought we might be likely to sign our new captain in the near future, however, it looks like we've already signed him. I reckon Richards will keep the armband.
