Er, calm down. I didn't write it.

We know that Dave, he used a spell check. What’s with the allergy?!

Only thing I'd add is that it is 31 of the last 33 domestic trophies that have been won by five clubs (the scab six apart from Spurs). The other two were won by Leicester.

Would 6 clubs winning the last 33 trophies be much different in the other big leagues, though? I don't know the answer to this, I just know with the league titles you don't exactly get much variation in Spain, France, or Germany.

I suppose another question is whether you used to.

I genuinely don't know the answer to that for foreign leagues, but I do know that if you look at FA Cup and League Cup winners particularly, there was a decent variety - until the money from the PL really started rolling in around the turn of the millennium.

There's a bit of a false narrative (Tom Fox, was it?) perpetuated by fans of those clubs and the media that the same handful of clubs have dominated English football since time immemorial, and can reasonably be expected to do so in perpetuity. Like the Old Firm or something.

But it's just not true. Not until relatively recently.

BREAKING PREMIER LEAGUE RULES NEWS: The new post APT Tribunal PL Rules are out following FA Board approval.

Been asked for a dumbed down version. In simple terms the PL rules on APTs go back to those from before February 2024 and various extra rules are included so that shareholder loans (any loan from a direct or indirect 5%+ shareholder) now has to carry a fair market interest rate and cost.
