All im saying is...give him time, some of us have short memories...we were right behind him a few months ago. Perhaps a honeymoon period, maybe.
FFS Arsenal are an excellent team, im not getting on his back so early, im not a sheep. Halfway through the season, id agree with you. But its way too early chum.

You're slipping into the narritive the media is feeding us.  It's not just this season, it a culmination of the past 8 or 9 months.

Arteta was in this position 12 months ago and he was given time and turned it around.  Look, I'm not happy at the moment, but I'm prepared to give him a little more time.   At least until after the Leicester/Southampton games.

Arteta wasn't churning out relegation performances weekly though.

Arsenal lost the first 3 games with 2 of the teams being Man City and Chelsea. They then went on long a run of unbeaten games. I can't see where Villa's next point is coming from.

To be fair, was it the first game last season they were pounded by Brentford? Similar to our Bournemouth effort. Arteta was wobbling then, no doubt about it. Reintegrating Xhaka was probably key, their fans absolutely hated him not too long ago. The trio of Martinelli, Odegaard and Saka have really kicked on too. Buendia turned them down to join us!

Arsenal were in danger of not being in the top six, we're in danger of not being in the top division. That's the key difference between their start last year and our start this season.

They weren't nearly as bad as we were. They had a culture in place, a system and a real manager.

Oh, and then they bought Odegaard (40m), Ben White (65m), Ramsdale (30m) Sambi (20m), Tomiyasu (20m) and Tavares (10m)..

A little bit different.

Yes, our performances have been worse than our results, apart from Bournemouth, where both were terrible.

Managed to get on the ball at last in the second half. Before then it was just waves of home attacks which we at least stood up to.

Having clawed our way back into the game we of course then threw it away by conceding another soft goal almost immediately.
