He has to play Okore tonight, he had no other options really, if he doesn't play it will prove there is an underlying situation

Which is why I still don't think we will see him

That's my concern. I'm quite happy to say that if Okore is still MIA (and there is no Lazarus-like return for Vlaar, Senderos or Baker) then any tiny, lingering, thread-thin support that I still have for Lambert will be gone.

Upper Holte End. My pa is in Scotland with work, so not sure if he is going to turn up, but last I heard was a not likely. He has the season ticket so my brother cannot come either.

Does she screen your calls during games?

This is the first Villa game in some 24 years of following us, going to in excess of 1000 games, that I have ever attended on my own.

I can only think of two, both in the 92-93 season, the Dalian Atkinson wonder goal game at Selhurst Park, and our trip to Arsenal that season (won 1-0).

Unless I can convince my bumder of a brother to do otherwise, then I will be making a trip to Selhurst Park next week on my own as well.

A journey of 3000 miles into Croydon, on my own. If we get beat, it will be a lonely drive back.

As a broken Villa fan who is losing the will to live fair play to you Ads for making that Palace trip, your made of much stronger stuff than myself, lets hope you can make that long drive home feeling happy.

First home match I will be missing since I can't remember.  We're bound to win because of that but still can't bear to listen on the radio on my way down south.

I'm predicting we will give a rash penalty away and then get pulverised

I remember being amongst a mere 12000 sorry souls down B6 for a Southampton game in the 80's.

November '84, my first game.

I've just had a call off my brother, he's took a shift tonight so I'm having his ticket.

Upper Trinty, on my jack and freezing cold. Can't wait.

Lowest league crowd was v the Saints, 8.5k....

Lowest league crowd at VP was 2,900 v Bradford in 1915. That Saints game is a post-war league low i'd imagine.

Talk of 25K tonight makes me think back to those years in the 80s when that would have been a very decent attendance for us.

Think I'll stay in light a fire and watch The Nightmare Before Christmas, not the Tim Burton one, the Paul Lambert one.

Well if Okore isn't starting tonight he may as well ship him off for a couple of quid in January because if he's shitter than either Lowton or Herd at CB then he's basically useless.

Or there is something more sinister going on.

Without checking I would guess we had lower in the pre-floodlight midweek afternoon kick-off days.
