Love the last one on page 11. All the Villa fans at Highbury. Amazing how many black faces are in the crown on that picture especially as the era is normally painted in a very bleak picture in terms of racism.

I don't think those lads - and one in particular - had much to worry about.

To be fair , none of the others would have either

Cracking photos, thanks for posting, lots of memories

Dad took me to the Middlesborough game in 81 & I remember him saying to me this could be once in a life time stuff !

Grandad was a friend of Eric Houghton, he was my Aunties Godfather, my Uncle told a few tales from the 57 cup final at Dad's funeral last year, things I'd never heard before !

The Tony Daley photo against Norwich, I think it ended up 3-3, we were late & "dumped" the car, I got a parking ticket that's day  :'(

And the behind closed doors game, the copper was roughly where I used to stand as a teenager  8)
