Whichever players start, I would like to suggest a 4-4-2.
The tactics and team talk immediately before kick off would be straightforward, and BACK TO BASICS.
1) You four defenders, line up across the back and don't let them past.
2) You four midfielders, line up across the pitch in front of the defenders. When they have the ball try to protect the defence, when we have the ball 2 or 3 of you try to get forward and help the forwards.
3) You two forwards, get stuck into their defenders at every opportunity.

This will be should easily understood by all.

Only problem with us playing 4-4-2 is that we don't have any natural wingers.  Any option we play out wide will either struggle with the attacking or defending aspects of that position.
