I'm still buzzing about signing Bent.

I'm amazed that we actually needed a striker & we went and got one of the best goal scorers around.

Qucik question, forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere, can Darren Bent play in the FA Cup on Saturday, can't remember if he played for Sunderland in Round 3 and is cup-tied

Any chance the "Breaking News" part of the thread title could be taken off?

Yes he is cup tied but it give a great opportunity to Gabby, Heskey or the Fonz to stake a claim to be his strike partner.

Darren Bent is proving to be everything we could have hoped for. I don't care what we paid, because in hindsight we've got a very good deal for proven ability, and given what Torres, Carroll, Dzeko and Suarez have cost their respective clubs. Now we need to bed in the midfield and next season rebuild the defence and we'll be in a good place going forward.
