Like the starting line up but that bench looks very thin.

Hopefully the team does the business. The bench is painfully weak. How the fuck has this happened.

But that bench is horrible. So so weak and inexperienced.

Yep its going to be a massive 24 hours for the club. If we dont get 3 or 4 in its going to be  a long season

Loaning out so many players with no replacements seems abit silly

Is Rory Wilson not rated or something? Bit odd we have no senior attacking back up and he can't even get in ahead of kids as he is 20 in January.

We gave him a nice new deal in the summer yet not loaned him out and he can't even get in matchday 20 when we are down to the bare bones.

Martinez isn't going because of PSR, he's going because he wanted to go.

If it had been about PSR, we wouldn't have been doing it 24 hours from the end of the window, either.

Palace haven't won in the league at VP since December 2013. It's a bit of a myth they always destroy us, that just happens within the M25.

We've taken 7 points off them in the three prem games at VP under Emery.

This is mental that bench compared to the end of last season this is a weaker L squad as we’ve had since gerrard.

If I was nwse I would be spitting feathers at the state of the club despite doing so much right.  I would be getting these rules challenged in courts because unless miracles happen we’re going to be losing 3 years of progress this season

Kamara, Onana and Barkley are injured.. and we sold two injury prone players in JJ and Leon, who consequently are already injured.

Barkley, Onana, Kamara to come back.  Anyone else, other than another central midfielder, George Hemmings?

I like the starting 11, lots of pace and width but this is very much a plan A thing because, with this bench, there cannot be a plan B.

Unai Emery was asked about Emiliano Martinez:

Q: The reason for his absence? "Marco Bizot."
Q: Where is Martinez? "Marco Bizot."
Q: Will he be your future goalkeeper? "Marco Bizot."

Sod off Pinnochio.  Just answer the question.

You really don't like anything Villa at all do you?

Two wide fast players is a new try against them. Normally we overload the midfield and leave their wide men to do what they want, whilst still not getting anywhere near their midfield still.

It's far too early to draw any informed opinion on how the season will pan out. A couple of years ago we lost 5-1 at Newcastle on opening day, lest we forget.

However, it does seem that since the last game of last season, the excitement has been well and truly bled out of us.

Terrible window, crap first few games, Martinez going the last day of the window.....

Fucking Watkins.

I have a sneaky feeling he doesn't really want to be at the club any more. Like he's gone stale and has reached the "wants a new challenge" stage.

Agreed.

At the moment he looks too comfortable in his place again. 12 months ago we had Duran coming off the bench and scoring pretty much every game.

He's been half a yard off it the few times we've got some passing moves going. All too easy for Guehi to intercept.

That by Munoz is more of a foul than the one they were given, but because Watkins didn't dive it's ignored.

Glasner really knows his business.

He's definitely got the measure of Unai.

But we’re building up in exactly the same way and expecting something different. They’re playing in exactly the same way they do against us and surprise surprise. It’s insanity to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.

What needs to be remembered is people are paying £50 + to watch this now with more tickets available with the horrible kick off time. And the obvious season ticket increases.

That becomes a problem when team suddenly stops progressing on the pitch and new signings are slow to arrive so tolerance levels won't be as high as they were 2-3 years ago.

Only 3 games in but I’ve not seen many teams as poor as us so far.

If you was watching football for the first time you would think we were  a team that just got promoted.  We look really bad. Awful these three games.  Add the manure  game and thats four in a row

Buendia coming on.

Malen hooked I assume.

Won't be Rogers. But he will be shunted into a position where he will do even less.

Buendia coming on.

Great.

Prepare for a lot of sitting on the floor flapping his arms after taking too long to release the ball. At least he tries forward line breaking passes though.

He’d probably have scored one of Tielemans’ headers though.

He's got a great leap for a little midget tbf.

Buendia can't do any worse than those who had the first half.

Can he lose the ball more than rogers?

I love them both, but probably about the same, being honest! At least Emi has the occasional overhead kick in him for giggles.

All of this is linked to the disaster at Man U on the last day of last season. As soon we lost out on CL every one of our top players has been linked with a move away. The nightmare of not qualifying meant we were fucked under FFP and SCR. So every rival club knew we needed to sell someone important. Or simply that we couldn’t buy anyone. That has to have played in the players minds. Every one of them would have had some ****** offering a better deal. Vultures all of the place looking to pick us off. It’s been sickening to watch. We don’t have any focus and that includes a manager who needs to know what he has to work with. Emery has underperformed as have all the players. The whole place is just miserable right now.

Shit 1st half performance

No change to approach at half time

Shit second half performance

No positive impact from substitutions

Doesn’t he do like 2-3 hour analysis meetings everyday?

I mean, if my gaffer tried to do that I’d soon switch off.

Atwell loves to stop a game and bring a stretcher. Fall for the same reaction of player every fucking time.

Not going to give to hyperbole but this entire summer, the start to our season and this weekend are an absolute disaster for us

We have stunk the league out already, 3 games in. Forget Europe, we’ll be lucky for 15th this season.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Emery throws the towel in.

This is so bleak. Bleaker than under any other manager, because Emery's ceiling is so high. The difference between what we should be and what we are is too depressing for a word other than that.

At least Bogarde didn’t do a Konza.
Good save from Bizot

Shit starting eleven

Shit 1st half performance

No change to approach at half time

Shit second half performance

No positive impact from substitutions

I honestly don't think its our fault its just been the relentless marketing of our players which leaves us weakened.  The sad thing is Unai hasn't a clue how to get a tune out of this team

If you say so but I don’t agree with half of your assertions.  Just needed a goal when we were battering then and then got hit by a stupid goal which was all our own making.  And frankly Buendia has a been a very good substitution

The problem is, the bit in bold is absolutely fucking typical, because that is what we do, and Glasner knows it.

I personally think Uni plays one way, a little like Pep, he's been found out, his tactics have been stopped, nothing else in the locker, there is only 2 ways to change that, the manager or you put in place a whole new skill set of players who play Uni's game differently, problem with that, we have had a dead transfer window.

It’s now embarrassing how Emery keeps getting schooled by Glasner. Same tactics expecting a different outcome is ridiculous.

Like the guy but this team doesn't have the running capacity to do what he would want so it would mean ripping up the team, which now is impossible.

But bit early to start wanting Emery out after a few games.
