Good team. Glad he’s gone with Zaniolo.

Let’s make this one of those “ precessional “
Performances where we do what we should do.

Hodgson not with them either. Hope he’s ok.

I'm sure that Joel Ward and Jeff Schlupp have been playing for Palace for about twenty years.

Half expecing Dougie Freedman or John Salako to pop off the bench for them.

Can’t see him going into management, punditry perhaps.

Wasn't Marschal playing last night in Brighton? I know it would require something calamitous for us to need to use him today, but are we that hard up for players that we can't fill the bench without him.

Edit - great to see Moreno on the bench too!

I thi nk he's having a good game. His problem then was that Watkins was too close to him for too long, needed him to offer a bit of width and create some angles for passes.

If we're really ever going to break the glass ceiling, we need a centre forward who can take most of the chances he gets and a good chunk of the half chances.  We have a cracking player in Watkins, but when he's on these runs, he isn't quite good enough for where we say we want to go.

Same for Cash.

And I like both players a lot.

We miss too many chances in periods of the game that we are on top.

It's not really Cash's job to score goals though. When he does it's an added bonus, but he's got as many goals as you'd hope for from a right back already this season. Watkins is absolutely miles off it at the moment, and is nowhere near good enough playing like this.

Diaby showed the level of player we need he took his goal well

Ziniolo looked good too - we have better players but worry those chances come back to haunt us

What is it now, 1 in 12 games for Watkins? He needs a goal second half but he and Ziniolo need to define their space as both are working the left channel.

I'm a bit disappointed with Dougie and Kamara. Both doing okay but not at the levels we've come to expect. Playing a front three has pushed them both back defensively.

Impressed with Konsa and SJM.

I'm still not convinced he can play a full game but it's getting more and more difficult to see why we shouldn't get what we can out of him at the start of a match instead of at the end.
