Targett and Conor in. 1 winger. I like it
-
Burnley
Pope, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters, Hendrick, Cork, Westwood, McNeil, Barnes, Wood.
Subs: Hart, Gudmundsson, Brady, Gibson, Rodriguez, Lennon, Bardsley
-
Interesting, can’t say Hourihane doesn’t deserve his chance.
-
Looks like Dean has been reading this site!
-
Lowton and Westwood return.
-
Good changes. Pleased with that! Come on Villa! UTV!
-
Jack wide'ish?
-
Interesting
-
It’s what we all wanted.
-
Harsh on Taylor.
-
Would've kept Trez in instead of AEG but let's say how that goes.
Guess with Targett starting we want an extra body in the middle to cover the ground.
-
Win please Villa.
-
Yes - happy with that line up!
-
Interesting line up. Connor deserves his start, I would have had El Ghazi on the bench, but looks promising. UTV.
-
My guess is Grealish wide? Unless he's moving to a 4-4-2 diamond with AEG up front. Either way, a number of us are either going to look quite smart or quite dumb regarding Jack's position by full time!
-

Same here. Otherwise happy with that team.
Be interesting to see much targett getting forward changes our shape.
-
El F**kin' Ghazi and no Taylor? Who is El Ghazi going to pass the ball back to now?
-
Harsh on Taylor.
With that sort of line up we are looking for more attacking threat from the fullbacks. Taylor has done ok at times defensively this season, but offers nothing going forward.
-
Trez for Anwar for me. But, what do I know? (Very little, is correct).
UTV
-
I’d assume 4-2-3-1 myself
-
I’ve been really impressed with Taylor this year (admittedly my expectations weren’t that high) but going forward he is limited. Targett coming in makes sense with I expect Nakamba and Hourihane being a bit deeper allowing both full backs to push on and McGinn and Grealish given more freedom to roam.
-
I'd have probably played Trezegeut too, but El Ghazi does have a goal and assist to his name so that's probably why he's edged it.v
-
I reckon AEG is a bit fitter as well. Trez like Jota seems fine after 60 mins.
-
Harsh on Taylor.

He's done more than "ok at times defensively", he's been as good as we've needed. He was targeted last week at Arsenal and never gave them a sniff. So much so they abandoned the tactic and tried, with greater success on our right.
I can only imagine Targett has been brought in to match the thugish size of the Burnley attack. Still, at least we'll finally get to see him in action and can make up our own minds. Another week out and he'd have been talked about as the English Roberto Carlos.
-
Harsh on Taylor.
And Trezeguet. I think he's been pretty good.
-
I'd like to see El Ghazi more central as I think he can score goals.

I would have thought it was more about the lack of width with the forward players selected that has seen Targett get the nod today. In the modern game your fullbacks are almost your most important players. They need to be able to contribute in both attacking and defensive scenarios.
Taylor has done ok, but I think the time has come to see what the fullback we signed for £14 million can do.
-
Harsh on Taylor.
I don't think so. No doubt Taylor has done ok this season and not the complete nightmare some (me very much included) thought he might be. He's just no threat going forward and it means we have much less impact down that side. And teams can stop Guilbert. Now they have to consider both full backs a bit more. Tactically, and especially at home this is the right approach.
-
My guess is Grealish wide? Unless he's moving to a 4-4-2 diamond with AEG up front. Either way, a number of us are either going to look quite smart or quite dumb regarding Jack's position by full time!
If we go with a diamond I would rather have Jack at the point of the diamond and AEG on the left.
-
I wonder if McGinn has actually been pushed slightly to the right hand side? Grealish often drifts left naturally, leaving Anwar free to make runs off Wesley.
Probably isn't like!
-
Agree with others would have started with Trez, otherwise happy and not a bad bench.
-
We need this today! C'mon you Villa Boys!!
If there are any pms going about I would be eternally grateful.
-
Jack wide'ish?
Or McGinn possibly on right of a narrow midfield three with Grealish and El Ghazi. They have two very slow full backs on the turn so we should be trying to get in behind them. McGinn could be ideal for that. Much happier with the team selection 👌
-
I'm just buzzing to have a couple of hours worrying about this instead of the death of civilisation.

I never blame him for his price tag and look forward to his crosses. Maybe we'll see El Ghazi passing it back every time he gets the ball but this time to somebody that can actually cross. It's his defensive qualities that scare the shit out of me. It's lazy to say he's the right player to play at home unless the opposition don't intent attacking down the left third of the pitch. Somehow I can't see that happening very often.
Happy the Marvelous is in there, somebody will need to break up the fight between Woods and Tyrone. It should be an interesting battle. We can not allow Burnley to bully us today and I think Dean has gone for physical strength ahead of flair.
-
I can see a Conor goal today. He gets into those spots and he'll be helpful to Wes in the box. Also having a proper set piece taker and a genuine threat from free kicks is a huge asset.
-

Yeah, I think that is a possibility given that El Ghazi has tended to play wide left much more than on the right. Interesting either way to see how it all fits together.
Pleased for Connor - think he has been unfortunate that his favoured/best position is also that of probably our two best players. I remember Dean talking about how he looks to try and get 3.5 goals on the pitch with his team selections, so that may be a factor in the decision as well.
-
Mings to score today. Tight game that could well be decided by a set piece or two.
-

Too bloody right. Anything to keep Jack away from freekicks and corners can only be a good thing. So many games we've wasted opportunities as we have nobody that can do what Conor does so well.
-
wanted conor and targett in - was expecting Trez instead of ELG thou .
-
I'm just buzzing to have a couple of hours worrying about this instead of the death of civilisation.
Ha! Chin up, mate. Villa to the rescue. (I hope)
-

Yep, they've never let me down!
-
Any one on ATV Audio ?
No commentary just crowd noise
-
working now
-
McGinn hits good chance over bar apparently.
-
Cracking cross from Matty. He keeps doing that someone will score. A Wes bullet is my guess
-
Seem to be well on top, 100% possession according to the website I'm looking at....
-
I am not watching the match. I have no idea how I could watch the match. This is definitely not a request to other members to send me something with which I could watch the match.

Cry me a river you lot....

Fuck me. They should have scored. A similar chance to the one we had earlier
-
West Ham leading, Yarmolenko.

I am not making this request either

hesgoal usually comes up trumps ;)

and me please
-
We hit the post
-
thats why you need conor in the team
-
And they hit the bar
-
Hourihane hits post from free kick.
McNeill hits bar from free kick.
Last three minutes of action.
-
hesgoal usually comes up trumps ;)
I’m not using this to watch the match. Bloody close from Burnley.

Me neither, no sirree.
-
Westwood with a floaty pass that went out of play. First time for everything I suppose
-
Norwich losing another away game.

Me neither, no sirree.
Finally up and running.
-
Mings struggling with Wood so far. When we keep the ball on the ground we look better, no threat up front again though.
-
Cork was the one who got injured in that challenge but I thought McGinn was the one who was fouled by Cork.
-
McGinn is an animal. I love him.
-
Yes!
-
1-0. Mcginn.
-
SCORCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
1-0. John John McGinn.
Assist for Hourihane.
-
SJM!
-
I love Super John McGinn
-
FFS disallowed.
-
Could be a VAR here....
Hourihane offside?
-
Get in. Great ball in from Targett
-
Disallowed
-
Neat goal.
-
Fuck sake.
-
Martin Atkinson on VAR. Fuck off.
-
Hopefully that isn't another hard luck story, we've played well so far.
-
Well worked goal, nice passing
-
fuck me man
-
wtf....
-
VAR couldn't wait to get in on that one could it?
-
It looked off to me sadly. Needless from Hourihane to not watch the line.
-
VAR couldn't wait to get in on that one could it?
It automatically checks every goal
-
It was a lovely move too. Maybe the Burnley players knew it was offside because they appeared to stop playing.
-
Win the fucking game Villa.
-
Just seen a replay but can't see why that was disallowed. FFS
-
Well there's this week's bollocks officiating
-
Just seen a replay but can't see why that was disallowed. FFS
I think Hourihane was slightly offside.
I don't like the way Burnley play football.
-
I've watched that a few times now and he looks level when the ball is played. That's a shit decision.
At least we are looking very decent today
-
Win the fucking game Villa.
This.
-
What an utter, utter waste of time.
Bobo the Simpleminded as PM and technology ruining football in this rancid dystopian nightmare.
-
Probably a toenail offside...
Burnley corner.
-
Nice move for goal, definitive replay showing offside hasn't been shown yet anyway
No idea where AEG is supposed to be playing and neither does he, 4141 it seems with Hourihane on left . Need Hourihane next to Nakamba.
Wes has been hopeless
-
O.k we might've scored again....
-
Hats off to Conor. Never thought we'd be screaming for him in the starting 11 this time last season. Got his head down and got on with it.
Looks a much better player as a result. *Just need one of his screamers now **And to stay onside when crossing the ball!
-
El Ghazi perhaps. Sounds like hardly anyone is cheering!
-
Anwar!!!!!
-
scorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrchioooooooooooooooo
-
Ehat a goal!!!!!
-
EL GHAZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!
-
Get in, now fucking win.
-
Yessss
-
That's the way....
-
Yes get in.
-
Every time I say El Ghazi is shit, he scores.
Cracking goal.
-
Get inn !!
-
Wesley needs a fucking energy drink. Do some running around you lazy sod.
-
Up to 13th in the live table.
Above Wolves of course.
-
Yes get in
UP THE VILLA
-
That goal was made by me. Finally tool Guilbert out of my fantasy team, and he gets an assist! ;)
-
Great finish that. And the cross too.
-
Get in!! That makes up for all that head butting malarky!
-
Another good team goal and this one counts.
-
Just seen a replay but can't see why that was disallowed. FFS
Conor was off
-
Get a second Villa.
-
That's not a foul.
-
Is the comm burnley fan?
-
Every time I say El Ghazi is shit, he scores.
Cracking goal.
More insults please ;-)
-
NoVAR El Ghazi
-
Up to 13th in the live table.
Above Wolves of course.

Christ the way Wesley goes down every time he is touched is pathetic.
-
NoVAR El Ghazi
5/10.
-
McGinniesta is fuming...needs calming down. Been very hard treated
-
I'm a bit slow but it just dawned on me we're attacking the Holte first half.
-
McGinniesta is fuming...needs calming down. Been very hard treated
He's been excellent though, hasn't he.
-
Oh Everton down to 17th in live table. Playing Man. City in a few hours. They were 8th about a week ago. Shows how tight the table is still.
-
McGinniesta is fuming...needs calming down. Been very hard treated
He's been excellent though, hasn't he.
Absolutely outstanding
-
McGinniesta is fuming...needs calming down. Been very hard treated

As per usual
-
McGinniesta is fuming...needs calming down. Been very hard treated
Different class though on the pitch, best player by miles in first half. Grealish very disappointing in comparison.
Brilliant goal from AEG, he does have the talent !
-
Christ the way Wesley goes down every time he is touched is pathetic.
I suppose if falls over, he doesn't have to run around, shoot etc
-
I'm a bit slow but it just dawned on me we're attacking the Holte first half.
Interesting. No stats to back it up but always feels to me away side less dangerous if they're attacking the Holte in second half.
-
They’re CB’s are fucking shit. We have to continue to get these crosses in and Wes has to be far more aggressive getting in front of them.
-
I'd like to see El Ghazi more central as I think he can score goals.
Post of the day!
-
Nice to see Anwar looking up for it. Poor shot there but he’s keen to get the ball.
-
AEG goal https://twitter.com/ZWODDE_/status/1177956493246656512
-
We are pushing Burnley back and making them defend deep.
-

Welcome back to the cash rich premier league.
https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/burnley-braced-bids-40m-rated-3064429
Burnley two are stoppers, head it kick it types. Decent movement from midfield and you can drag them out of position which we seem to be doing.
-
Ref been in the running path quite a lot this game
-
We are pushing Burnley back and making them defend deep.
Usually we see that from another team in claret and blue that I know
-
They’re CB’s are rattled.
-
Playing some good stuff. Final ball is all that is missing
Marvellous having a good game
-
Lovely cross from Freddie.
-
ooooooh Jack close
-
Faaaark good shot Jack
-
Wesley's play acting gets right on my tits.
-
Guilbert also playing well again.
-
Ref been in the running path quite a lot this game
I was about to post the same thing. He is getting too close. Yellow card for Tarkowski. Another one and he will be 'offski'.
-
They’re CB’s are fucking shit. We have to continue to get these crosses in and Wes has to be far more aggressive getting in front of them.
On this performance they look distinctly ordinary all over the pitch, we should be well up by now.
-
Need another.
-
Good half, should lead by more.
Worry as always we'll start second half flat, Burnley will have a little spell of corners and score.
We really should be winning this though. Live table looks much better.
-
HT
-
Cynical foul on Jack on the edge of the area, free kick given but no yellow card.
-
Guilbert also playing well again.
They can’t double up on Freddie as Targett as readily can also attack down the other side. It means Burnley are much more stretched now and it opens up the middle.
-
Played really well. Wesley is a worry.
-
Wesley's play acting gets right on my tits.
Was willing to give him a break. You can forgive the lack of goals if the effort is there, but he really is fecking useless isn't he! Not a glimmer of him making it in this league so far.
-
Great half. Look much better without the two wingers and Conor strengthening the midfield
SJM seems to have found a new way of rolling his opponents like he did last year
-
We had 3 corners then and arsed around with all 3 of them. Get the fucking ball in the fucking box!!!!
We have been comfortably the better team. We look far more balanced with this line up. Having had more of the ball we shouldn't be knackered after 60 minutes this week.
-
Cynical foul on Jack on the edge of the area, free kick given but no yellow card.
That would have been a second yellow for Barnes.
-
They’re CB’s are fucking shit. We have to continue to get these crosses in and Wes has to be far more aggressive getting in front of them.

This is what Burnley do though, concede possession but keep games tight and then pinch a goal from set piece or high ball.
Just adopted the formula Stoke did for many years on prem.
Of course we could try to cling on to a 1-0 but we've created loads today so more goals here if we really want it.
-
We have had 64% possession and far more goal attempts than them.
-
Played really well. Wesley is a worry.
Wes will score today. He just needs to believe because those crosses are there for the taking. The other thing to consider is that he is pulling the Burnley CB’s apart opening up space for our midfielders to get into.
-
I'm not sure which east Asian language the commentary is in but I'm really enjoying the way they say El Ghazi.
-
Impressive half, but need a second. Burnley will improve. McGinn superb.
-
Cynical foul on Jack on the edge of the area, free kick given but no yellow card.
Would have been a red for Barnes, got nowhere near the ball. We finished strong there. Playing with 10 men with Wes I'm afraid. Davis cannot be any worse.
Positives: McGinn outstanding, Nakamba very good, both full backs offering width and quality on ball, Engels assured. Hourihanes quality on ball is creating chances too.
-
I think we have tended to 'overplay' when we have got into the final third.
-
I'm not sure which east Asian language the commentary is in but I'm really enjoying the way they say El Ghazi.

Our most expensive ever signing needs to buck his ideas up a bit.

I think he still lacks confidence. The face-holding needs to stop.

I have a feeling he will too. The deliveries from our fullbacks have been superb, he's going to nick one like Anwar did.
-
No disrespect to Taylor or Elmo (neither have been bad at all) but having two fullbacks with a genuine attacking threat (and some pace) doesn’t half make a difference.
-
Very confident first half. Burnley are no pushovers as their results show. We've made them look very ordinary so far.
-
I'm not sure which east Asian language the commentary is in but I'm really enjoying the way they say El Ghazi.
It's Chinese. I like it, too!
-
We’ve been by far the better team , but for var bollocks we’d be 2 up . Can’t believe the negative stuff about Jack , he’s been fine , and I don’t think Wes is anywhere near as bad as this thread makes out . Hope he fucking buries one .
-

Agreed.

I can see why we signed Wes - he looks like he has nearly everything. Hopefully it clicks soon.

In relative terms though our record signing is way, way down the list of high priced signings at PL level. Not saying he shouldn't be doing more, but when you consider what Everton paid for Iwobi at Everton this season it's not really been a huge mistake or gamble.

Looks to me like he's trying to cope with the pace in Premiership, once he does we should see some good work from him.

It sounds like Wesley is becoming the new Savo when it comes to dividing opinion.

Whatever that advert was about, dating maybe, was class.
-
Our friend Jay Rodriguez come on for Burnley.
Hopefully VAR is working for his antics.
-
He's got all the ingredients except, at this stage, maybe confidence. He may well come good. I just don't like the play acting.
-
chance there for Burnley
-
Get a second Villa
-
Burnley having that spell of corners I was worried about....
-
Burnley well on top.
BBC guy says they've changed formation to match us.
Over to you Dean Smith....need to be switched on mate.
-
Moraes Wesley injury.
Neck injury.
-
Sort it and react Dean.
-
That was embarrassing Wes.
-
Nasty one full in the face for Wes there.
-
Yes please don't ignore the signs this week. Put some pressure back on them
-
Geezus, he only got hit by the ball! Hook him and get Kienan on.
-
Thought Wesley was out cold then
-
Nasty one full in the face for Wes there.
The ball hit him in the jaw, not the player's boot.
-
And he's back in the room.
-
Hope Wes doesn't have to jump up and head the ball, only going to be one winner.....
-
The man who eats boxes of cigarettes for breakfast has clearly sent out his team with the message "rough 'em up"
-
Wesley's close control is the least Brazilian thing you'll ever see
-
Targett injured now.
-
Forwards aside, I think Deano could have stumbled on our most effective formation here.
Nakamba and McGinn as the pack dogs in the middle with a little bite, complimented by the cultured feet of Hourihane and Grealish. Targett and Guilbert look way better than our other fullback options too.
That leaves El Ghazi, Trezeguet and Jota to scrap it out for the remaining spot.
-
fuck me. He'll be out for a while again. Taylor coming on
-
Targett injured now.
Shame he has done well
-
Taylor on for Targett (injury).
-
Balls - Targett off ! :(
-
Taylor. Ffs are we never gonna get rid of this guy.
-
Targett off injured and Taylor on.
-
Taylor. Ffs are we never gonna get rid of this guy.
Nothing wrong with him.
-
Targett injured now.
Shame he has done well
Good debut, having a full back comfortable on the ball really helped us. Completely different type of player on now, see his first effort with the ball
-
We are doing an Aston Villa and getting sucked deeper and deeper again.
-
I hope we don't try to hold on to 1-0. There'll be 15 mins injury time.
-
Taylor. Ffs are we never gonna get rid of this guy.
He's alright.
-
Taylor. Ffs are we never gonna get rid of this guy.
Don't recall any mistakes he's made at the back this season. I suppose he's the player that fans like to have a moan about. There is always one player that fickle fans like to moan about for no reason.
-
Taylor. Ffs are we never gonna get rid of this guy.
Nothing wrong with him.
Yeah, he's a real stand-out PL full-back.
-
Mings has been great again. So strong.
-
Taylor. Ffs are we never gonna get rid of this guy.
Who else should we play at LB?
-
Need to get Wes off, hopeless.
-
Can I interject just to mention how much I despise Jay Rodriguez please? Ta.
-
Mings has been great again. So strong.
He's brilliant.
-
ffs 1-1.
Rodriguez is a jinx player against us.
-
That ******
-
FUCK ME
-
ffs
-
Fuck it
-
Fucks sake
-
I fucking hate jay Rodriguez.
Taylor at fault, I reckon.
-
Here we go. Don’t fucking throw points away Villa
-
Now there's a bloody surprise.
-
Not him! FFS come on Villa we need a win here not a draw
-
Who was supposed to be marking him?
That's right. Neil Taylor.
-
Taylor. Ffs are we never gonna get rid of this guy.
Nothing wrong with him.
Yeah, he's a real stand-out PL full-back.
Yep, was not in the slightest at fault for that goal.
-
Just like last week the warning signs were there.
Had options like Davis to put on to make ball stick upfront or bring on Jota to get some more possession. Or Trez of course for more direct attacks.
Slow to react and I'm afraid you lose points at premier league level.
-
Taylor barely got off the ground then.
-
Burnley are an awful team to watch. Niggly. Like a stoned Stoke.
-
We are doing an Aston Villa and getting sucked deeper and deeper again.
As I was fucking saying. We really are our own worst enemy. And Taylor completely gone done at the back post there. Fuck me
-
We need to pull our fingers out this second half, we haven't started.
-
Pathetic.
-
game has been a fucking horrible scrappy mess 2nd half, which plays right into their hands.
Taylor definitely at fault for the goal. Had no idea of Rodriguez position.
-
Taylor hopeless there but clear foul on Guilbert in build up. We have been poor second half, haven't threatened a second at all.
-
El Ghazi for Jota and Davis for the Brazilian Scarecrow please
-
That's been coming.
I'd take a draw now, got a really bad feeling about this.
-
Another injury. AEG off for Trez
-
Taylor. Ffs are we never gonna get rid of this guy.
Don't recall any mistakes he's made at the back this season. I suppose he's the player that fans like to have a moan about. There is always one player that fickle fans like to moan about for no reason.
Fickle is it? Bog off.
-
Same old.
-
We’ll lose this.
-
Right now there is only one winner. And it’s not us
-
Trez is on now for El Ghazi.
-
Trez on, he must have been close to coming on to perk us up a bit.
-
Come on Villa settle down and concentrate
-
Taylor barely got off the ground then.
Nowhere near Rodriguez
-
We take the lead and think we've won.
-
Taylor clearly at fault but if AEG has been more concerned with getting a tackle in than clutching his face and playing for a foul in the build up it might not have got that far.
-
We are way too fucking slow in attack. Burnley have found it easy to get 10 men back behind the ball every time we have the ball.
-
Poor defending, Taylor caught out, and Heaton was too far over to his near post.
-
Apart from the straight change of full backs has Dean done anything to stem the flow?
-
Not good enough.
-
El Ghazi too soft down the right hand side.
Grealish not in the game enough at the moment. Wesley too soft. I'd bring Davis on now - liven it up a bit.
-
Burnley have just made this a stop start game, and we've fallen into their nauseating trap. Come on Villa!
-
Taylor hopeless there but clear foul on Guilbert in build up. We have been poor second half, haven't threatened a second at all.
Mings is also to blame, getting not for the first time this season, getting dragged into no man's land. Shit defending by both.
-
Back in the bottom three. Win today would be huge.
-
Now the time wasting and gamesmanship will start from Burnley. They’ll take a point. This is how these types of sides stay up. By being savvy and picking up points here and there.
-
Davis will win this for us if he comes on.
-
Pass Jack!
-
Fuck sake Jack. Shit, shit shot
-
desperate game of football now.
-
We take the lead and think we've won.
This.............Plus, being able to relax once a team has gone ahead is reserved for just a privileged few in the Premiership, we are not one, we have to be committed for the full ninety to get the 3 points.
-
FFS Jack, what was that?
-
Can't fault Grealish for going for that, but Trez was wide open to his right. Should have done better.
-
Ffs Jack that was like kicking a clearance
-
Back in the bottom three. Win today would be huge.
Mind the gap will be all over Twitter.
-
Sorry Jack but that's very poor.
-
Apart from the straight change of full backs has Dean done anything to stem the flow?
Zilch, bit of a liability on the sideline in truth. Hourihane has to be sitting next to Nakamba, too far ahead of the ball. Poor effort from Grealish there, no composure.
-
come on Jackkk you are better tahn that
-
Turning circle of an articulated truck - FFS!
-
Now the time wasting and gamesmanship will start from Burnley. They’ll take a point. This is how these types of sides stay up. By being savvy and picking up points here and there.
We're not a bad side and I do think there are three worse teams in prem but yeah we are really naive so far. Can't do the scrappy niggly stuff you need to do in many games to get the three points.
Seems like this will be my phrase every week but we need to wise up and quick otherwise will be more hard luck stories.
-
Players are exhausted again.
-
Westwood booked.
-
Wee John is quiet this half.
-
This is sad.
-
Get Mcginn and Wesley off. Davis and Jota on please, Deano.
-
We were the better side by some distance in the first half but we have really tailed off in the second half.
-
Players are exhausted again.
Not a good sign. Think we must pace ourselves a little more smartly. Yes starting games well is important but many prem games are won and lost second half more than first.
Seems we're running ourselves in the ground just to be level or barely winning after 60 minutes.
-
Make a fucking change Dean.
-
Get Mcginn and Wesley off. Davis and Jota on please, Deano.
We've already made 2 subs
-
We're not ready for this league. Classic signs of being a yo-yo side - we'd probably beat the majority of Championship sides comprehensively but we can't protect a 1-0 in the league above.
-
2-1 anyway.
Huge.
-
Get Mcginn and Wesley off. Davis and Jota on please, Deano.
Only one sub left, has to be Davis for Wes.
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
McGinn. Have my babies!
-
YESSSSSSSS
-
Get Mcginn and Wesley off. Davis and Jota on please, Deano.
We've already made 2 subs
Ah, so we have. Just Davis then. Go two up.
-
Get in!
-
Get McGinn off they said....
Made a VAR sign in his celebration apparently!
-
Get Mcginn and Wesley off. Davis and Jota on please, Deano.
Good idea
-
Yesssss
-
Haha take that you fucking northern wankers
-
MGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNN!!!!!
-
SJM!!!!!
-
Massive goal, now lets put this to bed, a third please.
-
Get Mcginn and Wesley off. Davis and Jota on please, Deano.
Good idea
Ha!
-
That didn't last long.
2-2.
-
Get Mcginn and Wesley off. Davis and Jota on please, Deano.
Good pep talk.
-
NOW DO NOT FECK IT UP
-
2-2
-
Fookin brilliant. Great cross from Trez.
-
Aaaaaaaaargggggggghhhhhhh
FUCKING HELL
-
desperate game of football now.
I was falling asleep before their goal, not sure if it was tiredness or the game.
Thank Dog for SJM.
-
You are fucking joking there.
-
You naive useless bastards Villa
-
FUck me!
-
Balls
-
FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK
-
This bunch ain’t got what it takes.
-
FFS
-
FFS. Not again.
-
Don’t fuck it Villa, we need this.
-
How, how is that possible ffs.
-
FFS !
Taylor!
-
Might help us this, has all the making of crazy championship game in last 15 minutes now.
To not win this will be criminal.
-
#FuckinLevels
-
FFS
-
Wood ran in totally unmarked.
-
Sorry Dean has to start taking some flak. He is already skating on thin ice in my eyes as tactically he comes across well out of his depth
-
FFS !
Taylor!
Unbefuckinglievable.
-
Dreadful from Taylor again, keeper can't be rooted to his spot like that either.
-
FFS !
Taylor!
Ha! Brilliant.
-
Get Mcginn off. (Hopefully he'll score again now)
-
These are the things which make me very unhappy. Not losses at Arsenal, but instant equalisers at home to fucking Burnley.
-
Good cross for their goal but woeful defending. Wood was in there by himself.
-
For fucks sake. We’re fucking going to go down if we don’t stop throwing away games.
-
Take Wesley off, Davies on
You know good game management
-
Fucking pisses me off no end how naive we are
-
FFS
Stream playing up so didn’t see their goal
-
wtf
-
We ain’t staying in this division
-
No presence up front - Nothing sticking. It's going to invite pressure on the team if you're playing without a forward.
Lost patience with him - He is fucking useless and needs dropping or we're going nowhere but the Championship. Davies would have had a stormer today against this lot - Opportunity to get some points on the board wasted.
-
Take Wesley off, Davies on
You know good game management
In fairness hardly any time to do that between the goals and I doubt Davis would've been in his own box.
That is firmly on the defence for completely switching off at 2-1.
-
I thought scoring goals would be our problem this season. It turns out the problem is how many we are conceding. No excuses with two centre halfs as manager and assistant.
-
Reminds me of home game Vs Sunderland the year we went down
-
Good cross for their goal but woeful defending. Wood was in there by himself.
Lowton always had a decent cross on him. Was brutal for McGinns goal a minute earlier mind.
-
Can't see us staying up at all. The only thing we've got is hard luck stories.
-
Burnley settling for a point now. Took off Ashley Barnes and put on extra midfielder.
-
We've conceded 11 league goals, I think 8 have been after 65 mins,
-
Piss poor.
-
Will be six minutes added on so plenty of time for someone to win this.
-
Fucking pisses me off no end how naive we are
We're just not very good over 90 minutes.
-
We've conceded 11 league goals, I think 8 have been after 65 mins,
Is Lambert still our manager?
-
Two of them went out to close down the cross and still the ball came in. Just like their first goal.
Shocking - we need to get the basics right
-
Davis on for Wes.
-
Just get it forward. Don't leave anything out there.
-
Get Wes off now, Stevie Wonder
-
Deans going to get himself sacked.
-
We've conceded 11 league goals, I think 8 have been after 65 mins,
Is Lambert still our manager?
It goes all the way back to O'Neill. We've struggled late on for years.
-
Davis on for Wes. 87 minutes too late!
-
Corner...
-
And I wonder how many of the 11 haven't included either stupid mistakes or shit defending.
-
The really worrying thing is Burnley look nothing more than a very ordinary bottom half Premiership side.
-
FFS Villa stopped up late in China to follow this. Can't beat Burnley at home don't deserve to stay up. Get another goal!!!
-
The really worrying thing is Burnley look nothing more than a very ordinary bottom half Premiership side.
A bit like us?
-
7 minutes added on.
-
Every week we do it to ourselves. The tactical changes are poor. The subs are not thought through. And the players aren’t switched on at this level. It’s easy against Rotherham or Millwall. At PL level we have to be better. It’s merciless
-
The really worrying thing is Burnley look nothing more than a very ordinary bottom half Premiership side.
A bit like us?
That's the other really worrying thing.
-
Seven minutes which will show if we've got the cojones to belong in this league.
-
7 minutes added on.
Plenty of time to for us to make another balls up.
-
Deans going to get himself sacked.
Maybe one day in the distant future but not just now.
-
7 minutes added on.
Plenty of time to for us to make another balls up.
Burnley 10/1 to win....
-
Deans going to get himself sacked.
Maybe one day in the distant future but not just now.
How many times can you say, “That’s one that got away..” before two billionaires start to catch on?
-
Burnley will be trying to kill the game now, exactly what we need to learn to do.
-
Worry for me is like in 15/16 we're failing to win winnable home games at start of the season. That soon catches up with you as we'll be playing Man. City and Liverpool in next few weeks.
-
Fucking shite, as always.
-
That ****** left his studs into Mings
-
minges lucky there
-
We have been competitive in every game this season but fine margins will kill you in this league.
-
O.k final corner...
-
We have been competitive in every game this season but fine margins will kill you in this league.
Yep
-
minges lucky there
He’s a right fanny at times.
-
Game now on WM.
-
Jack taken out by Rodriguez
-
Free kick near edge of box.
Come on Conor....
-
Davis has done more in 8 minutes than Wesley in the whole match.
-
FT
-
Shit result
-
We have been competitive in every game this season but fine margins will kill you in this league.
We bloody well ought to be competing at home to Burnley, at the very least.
-
I want to see more from Grealish. SJM is very much outshining him so far this season.
-
Burnley were fucking shit today.
That's 2 points thrown away.
-
shite
-
I want to see more from Grealish. SJM is very much outshining him so far this season.
Grealish needs to start pulling his weight he's becoming a passenger
-
I want to see more from Grealish. SJM is very much outshining him so far this season.
Grealish needs to start pulling his weight he's becoming a passenger
Being outshone by McGinn=/=becoming a passenger
-
I want to see more from Grealish. SJM is very much outshining him so far this season.
Grealish needs to start pulling his weight he's becoming a passenger
Being outshone by McGinn=/=becoming a passenger
not necessarily just because McGinn is outshining him doesn't mean he has to be passenger
-
Haha take that you fucking northern wankers
Not as far north as you, nowt wrong with upt north.
-
2 headers from inside 6yrd box .....garbage defending
