I've never done one of these before. Have I missed anything out?
-
Pre-Play-Offs for Derby, not for Villa.
We are nicking second place. BELIEVE!!!!
-
You have missed giving us a poll.
These days Kim Jong-un embraces democracy more than H & V.
-
We're heading towards the point where the pre-match thread starts after the game has kicked off.
Someone always seemed to start the thread on the Wed/Thu
-

It needs stickying

Amateur.

2-0.

Can I have some of what you are on, please?
-
When is it?
-
I can see us winning this 2-0 should be a great atmosphere looking forward to it.

Nah, you're right.
There's no way Derby are making the play-offs.

Ever the optimist, perennially positive, I'm going gung-ho on this one...and hoping, praying, crossing fingers, begging and praying again that we can beat this lot!
The thought of trudging home in the rain with 40,000 other miserable Villa fans never entered my mind for a second! UTV!
-
any type of win please Villa :)
UTV
The Doc
-
Anyone got a spare in the Upper Trinity ? Please ? My Mrs has now decided she wants to go after all. I can get one elsewhere in the ground but means I don’t get a beer in the ground with my mate as I’ll be the one sat alone.
-
Is it on AVTV does anyone know?
-
We'll shit 'em. 3-1
-
Will be a really good crowd for this, when I got tickets last week it was hard to find two tickets together in any of the lower tiers and even the Upper Witton was selling well.
Will go for 2-2.
Derby had a good win in the week and their intensity will be a little higher than us I suspect given they still need a win to make certain of the play offs.
Would bring back Terry for this to get him match sharp for the play offs. Move Jedi back into midfield to deal with Huddlestone.
-
Weimann will be playing left wing back for them.

I'm liking the cut of your jib, Mr L. ;)
So it's a "yes" from me too. UTV!

5-2
-
Routine (for Villa) home win.
-
Is it a sell out ?

If Fulham win tonight, that's the very slim remaining hope of 2nd gone, so it will be interesting to see how Bruce approaches this one. Rest a few players and give others some game time in case they are required in the play offs?

We've been doing that last few weeks anyway.
Think I'd go back to our regular team for this and Millwall to get the whole 11 match sharp again and of course we could be playing one of these at some point in the play offs.
Questions now does our best team now mean Adomah or Grabban or Kodjia playing?
-
Narrow 2-1 win. Yorke overhead goal and a Joachim tap in from Collymore cross.
-
Is it a sell out ?
Yes
-
3-1 Villa win
-
Narrow 2-1 win. Yorke overhead goal and a Joachim tap in from Collymore cross.
Was a Taylor winner. Rowett played for Derby that day.
Edit: Was actually Joachim, Nelson cross.

Nope it was Joachim.
-
Although it was Nelson with the cross.
-
Ah Taylor scored in the next home game that season against Sheff Wednesday (add in the europe games he scored loads for us that season).
Game where Staunton scored from about 40 yards.
-
I'm amazed this is near a sell out considering the game probably doesn't mean much for us. I'm not going so am intrigued to hear why other casual supporters have chosen to go ?

And Vs Wimbledon, Palace, Southampton and Bolton too did our Ian

Yep, seemed to score in nearly all the home games from the Uefa cup run aswell.
-

Must admit I thought people who go to this maybe get first option after season ticket holders for the play off home leg but nothing's been said on that.
Others probably thought we'd be more in the mix for second.
-
That surely wouldn't be the case SHQ ? I've been to about half the home games this season so would be gutted to miss out to someone turning up just for Derby.
-
Weimann will be playing left wing back for them.
Don't they play 3-4-3? Up until Tuesday night they weren't a happy lot with the negative tactics of Rowett.
Strange game, one where we don't need to win and one they must. I think we'll just beat them not out of spite but just to show, even half arsed, we can.
1-0 Villa
-
Derby on a bad run, we will be pretty relaxed I reckon. 1-0 Villa.
-
3-0 Grabban x2 and super Jack.
-
Is it on AVTV does anyone know?
to answer my own question, No it's not on.
Fucking Bullshit.
-
2-1
-
Come on Villa boys, another 3 points please, to set us up nicely for the home leg in the playoffs. That is unless Cardiff and Fulham contrive to throw 2nd spot away, in which case we need to win to be in a position to take advantage. UTV!

Not sure if AVTV have put out similar information but Derby's RamsTV are showing the game in selected countries where the Championship games are not broadcast.

6-6.
-
-
6-6.
That type of score line can only occur is Leeg is there at the start of the game to watch Villa go 6 down by half time.
He then leaves and the inevitable comeback occurs
-
Although it was Nelson with the cross.
Appropriate given today's music news, that we highlight a contribution by Fernando

The winner takes it all...The loser stays in the championship.
-
1-1, Kodjia with ours.

Do we now want to lose tomorrow and draw at Millwall so we get a chance to play Derby over two games and avoid Boro until the final?
-

Yeah I think 1 point in 2 games and playing a team that just beat you at home is perfect prep.
-
No, fuck that, let's just win the next 5
-

Yeah I think 1 point in 2 games and playing a team that just beat you at home is perfect prep.
Why the sarcasm ? It was a reasonable question - Do you not think we would have a better chance against Derby than Boro over two legs ? Winning all remaining five games would be great however in my humble opinion I don't think we can achieve that
-
It's not reasonable though is it, pondering what any of us want to happen. We all want to win.

Because it's a daft scenario. I want villa to win every game they play. Whatever. We won more than 5 after Christmas. Derby after beating Cardiff and villa would be on the up. Derby beating us doesn't guarantee them 5th. Would much rather we pushed for 2nd or 3rd and played the 6th team in play offs which more likely could be derby or milwall who we might have just beaten. Apologies for the sarcasm but it was a daft question.
-
It's always daft to want to lose games for some perceived benefit later. It's pure bonkers when we don't even have any idea what this benefit would be. Who's to say Boro won't lose their next two and drop out completely? Why would we want to avoid them in the first place? Crackers.
-
Fulham winning doesn't change things. 2 wins Nd we can still go up automatically. Things may change after Cardiff play but until then don't give up.
I find it amazing that people still do.
-

Are you actually a Villa supporter?
You don’t understand why it is a sell out and you aren’t going?
-
Edvard is in Birmingham.

I agree.
-
Make lots of noise. Build the momentum. Make other teams worry about us. 2-1 Villa. Mark Lillis and Steve Sims for us.
-
1-0 Win. Grab Bon in the 85 min.
-
I think this site is infiltrated by spasms of complete madness sometimes.
Lets lose to x so we might play y instead?
The world’s gone bloody mad.
I turn up today as always wanting Villa to win. Thats all.
-
If we want to be successful again we shouldn't be worrying about whether we will be playing derby..boro. ..whoever in this division.Just keep winning villa.

Yep.
No matter what side we pick, we're scoring 4. Minimum.
We're ending the season with a roar for a change.
-
Should be a decent game today. Us to pick up where we left off last week. 3-1. Weimann to get theirs.
-
6.1 to Villa
-
Tough match with them badly needing the points. Think we will edge it 1-0. Chester to get the winner.
-
3-0 Villa, in style, easy, easy 😆
