A Birmingham band, preferably. Dexys Midnight Runners had a few hits back in the day, didn't they?

Certainly not bloody Oasis.

Do they play "Don't Look Back in Anger" after the game in order to get people out of the stadium quicker ?

Definitely needs to be Birmingham related. Heartache Avenue by The Maisonettes ticks every box.

I have heard Dave Wakeling at a Beat concert pledge his alliances to the Villa . I think he said he needed a fast pair of running shoes being a Villa fan in Chelmsley Wood, which promoted a sad bluenose to throw a a plastic pint of beer and thankfully miss.
If you want a Brummie band for a Villa song , The Beat's back catalogue is second to none. Can't really think of a song relevant to Aston Villa though.

Indeed, but then they've got a pretty good link with Northern Soul.  Unfortunately, I suppose that means Villa should play something associated with Brum, even if it means godawful Heavy Metal.

In reality it needs to be something that the players relate to, you know, the sort of old bollocks that they listen to through them massive ear phone they always seem to have on. So proper music like most of the suggestions would be out, and it would need to be something like Dizzee Rascal, Tiny Tempah or some shite like that.

Paranoid by Sabbath or Crazy Train by Ozzy. They play that before they come out. Failing that what about the tune that the they use in Camberwick Green for Hugh, Pugh etc, and change the names to suit!

Ozzy isn't really a football fan however he grew up on Lodge Road, a stones throw from VP. Geezer Butler however is a massive Villa fan. Therefore I agree that'd should be something by Sabbath, and as already suggested, Supernaught ticks all the boxes for me.

It's ridiculously overwhelming at some grounds...Swansea and ManU spring to mind...so much shite being played at such a volume it's difficult to talk to the fan next to you...and a good deal of the noise at Anfield when they orchestrate YNWA pre-match comes through the PA.
Let the fans do it!

I might be 34 years older than 25 but can tell you it's: 'This Girl' by Kungs vs Cookin' On 3 Burners, as I mentioned in the post-match thread. It was a top seller last year and, personally, I think we should stick with it. Kungs is a 20 year-old French DJ and producer and released his first album, Layers, in November; it's well worth a listen.

Just looked at a fan blog of today's game and looks like we'll be coming out to this as our walk out music for the first couple of games. As for the current feckin racket by Craig somone, never has a 'song' killed any hope of an atmosphere as much as this horrible row. You can't hear yourself think, it's bleeding awful. You must have cloth ears to enjoy this.
