Since it's up for debate
For me I'd like Welcome to the jungle, guns n roses
-
Sing If You're Glad To be Gay - Tom Robinson
-
Sparks - Amateur Hour
-
Is Prince William a Villa fan? Cat Deeley?
-
Doors – The End
This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
-
Keep on Running - Spencer Davis Group
-
A Birmingham band, preferably. Dexys Midnight Runners had a few hits back in the day, didn't they?
Certainly not bloody Oasis.
Bish
-
Certainly not bloody Oasis.
Do they play "Don't Look Back in Anger" after the game in order to get people out of the stadium quicker ?
It certainly works on me
-
Definitely needs to be Birmingham related. Heartache Avenue by The Maisonettes ticks every box.
-
I'd definitely champion something local. Supernaut by Black Sabbath would be good as that riff is the nuts.
-
Kid Creole and the Coconuts
-
A Walk in the Park - Nick Straker Band.
-
Kid Creole and the Coconuts
Good call .. Track?
-
I have heard Dave Wakeling at a Beat concert pledge his alliances to the Villa . I think he said he needed a fast pair of running shoes being a Villa fan in Chelmsley Wood, which promoted a sad bluenose to throw a a plastic pint of beer and thankfully miss.
If you want a Brummie band for a Villa song , The Beat's back catalogue is second to none. Can't really think of a song relevant to Aston Villa though.
-

I really don't get playing Oasis at the end of games. I find it pretty laughable, in fact.
-
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Spread Your Love
-
Dexy's "Geno" always used to go down well back in the day.
-
Due to their Aston links it has to be something by Black Sabbath.
-

Ticks all the boxes for me. Great tune and one that has got a real Birmingham 'feel' to it.
-

Me too. Unsurprisingly.
-
The theme tune to Steptoe and Son.
-
Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds

I find it painfully cringeworthy. Whoever came up with that idea needs to be given a public flogging.

Hi ho silver lining
-
This is like Groundhog Day.
Why didn't Barry take the penalty?
-
Wheres the african car reverser when you need him
-
It's always pretty even between dexy's, sabbath and hurricane smith on these polls. Maybe they could just rotate one each week- keep 90% of people happy!
-
Whoever it was that sang Pass To Each Other You Pricks.
-
If we go down, it should be the theme tune to 'Hi-De-Hi' with each one of them made to wear a yellow coat and to wave campy to the crowd as they come out.
-
Welcome to my nightmare alice cooper
-
Why not get Tommy Elphick to choose something?
-
best stadium music can always be heard at Wigan Athletic
-
Where's Ryu?
-

Indeed, but then they've got a pretty good link with Northern Soul. Unfortunately, I suppose that means Villa should play something associated with Brum, even if it means godawful Heavy Metal.
-
In reality it needs to be something that the players relate to, you know, the sort of old bollocks that they listen to through them massive ear phone they always seem to have on. So proper music like most of the suggestions would be out, and it would need to be something like Dizzee Rascal, Tiny Tempah or some shite like that.
-
How about some Napalm Death?
I'm not saying that should be the entrance music, just that's the question I ask myself at full time, most matches.
-
Never say Die by Black Sabbath.
-
Paranoid by Sabbath or Crazy Train by Ozzy. They play that before they come out. Failing that what about the tune that the they use in Camberwick Green for Hugh, Pugh etc, and change the names to suit!
-
Is Ozzy Osbourne a Villa fan? What about Amy Winehouse, was she?
-

Ozzy isn't really a football fan however he grew up on Lodge Road, a stones throw from VP. Geezer Butler however is a massive Villa fan. Therefore I agree that'd should be something by Sabbath, and as already suggested, Supernaught ticks all the boxes for me.
-
Love it when this comes up! A load of harrumphing from the senior sections of h&v about anything released in the last 15years, the Birmingham band debate, ocean colour scene, dexys, ghost rider, everything about black sabbath and how embarrassing we play oasis
-
Jeff Beck's Hi Ho Silver Lining....goes back a long way.
-
There is a French band called AstonVilla you know.

Fixed.

Pass out?

Cheer Up !
It could be that Irish lot.........(The Unmentionables)

Brilliant.
I'd go for the Benny Hill music. It may make them move their little legs a bit faster.
-
What about the theme from Peaky Blinders. Seriously though you will never beat Theme From An Unmade Silent Movie by Hurricane Smith. This was and always will be my Villa theme
-
... you will never beat Theme From An Unmade Silent Movie by Hurricane Smith.
I guess this is the only song that we can really claim as ours, it's just a shame it's such an irredeemably shit and uninspiring piece of music... Still better than anything Black Sabbath's ever put out, though.

It inspires me when I hear it. I don't know why they changed it. I can hear it now and see David Platt running out of the tunnel at the corner of the Trinity. What days!!
-
I really liked Escape by Craig Armstrong but it's been done to death. I'm not sure what we've been coming out to this season but it's shit.
I'd go for Hells Bells or Crazy Train.
-
What about the theme from Peaky Blinders.
This is the shit right here - I wonder if we could get Kodija to come out on a horse.
-
Bring on the Dancing Horses - Echo and the Bunnymen
-
theme music from the film PAN, entertain us by NIRVANA.

I love it but when I played it to my kids a few years ago they thought it was the old theme tune to Thomas the Tank Engine
-

For me there's still nothing more inspiring in football than a European night at VP with the players coming out to Escape. I don't care how many other clubs use it - it sends shivers down the spine.
-
Check out a track called Shadowfall by Audiomachine - its like heavy metal with the Old Spice advert music chucked in for good measure - stirring stuff!
-
Out of space by Prodigy. "I'm an Aston Villa fan proud of what I am" fits nicely 😊 And the end of season fancy dress party would be sorted. If you don't know what I mean check out the video
-

I see what you mean - it has drama and bombast. I like it. Not sure how well it'd come over with Villa's PA, perhaps something simpler.
-
Certainly not bloody Chelsea Dagger. I've not forgotten when some bright sparked played it when we scored against Arsenal.

Yeah, I agree - Its the sort of thing you need to raise the excitement levels so that the fans and team are pumped up!
-
How about turning the PA off 10 minutes before kick off and maybe letting the crowd generate the atmosphere? Have we become such a bunch of snowflakes that we have to be fed atmosphere?
-
Well said AV82
-
I'd rather listen to white noise than that utter fart that Elphick chose for us.
-
Overkill - Motorhead
-

It's ridiculously overwhelming at some grounds...Swansea and ManU spring to mind...so much shite being played at such a volume it's difficult to talk to the fan next to you...and a good deal of the noise at Anfield when they orchestrate YNWA pre-match comes through the PA.
Let the fans do it!
-
D:Ream - Things Can Only Get Better ( ) , for all the obvious reasons and more.............Godzvilla!
-

If you just want that, so as it fits with your lyrics, the original 'I Chase The Devil' would be better.
-

15 minutes of
"Kodjia, Kodjia, Kodjiaa.
Kodjia, Kodjia, Kodjiaaaaa,
Kodjia, Kodjia, Kodjia,
Kodjia, Kodjia!"
"Grealish, Grealish, Jackie Jack Grealish! He's got shit hair but we don't care, Jackie Jack Grealish."
"Henri, Henri Lansbury! Henri, Henri Lansbury! Henri, Henri Lansbury!"
"Jed, Jed, Jed, Jed, Jed..."
"Ooh! Alan Hutton! Ooh! Alan Hutton! Ooh! Alan Hutton!"
And other variations on former player chants.
-
Do we have entrance music now? I'm in the Doug Upper so it's all white noise.
I'd personally go with the song that I look forward to every Friday at 5.15 as it always gets me singing along and puts a smile on my face...The Muppets - Manamana
-
Naughty.

TFAUSM

They came out to the tune that whatever the "DUH DUH DUH DA DER DUR CONOR HOURIHAN" song is based on yesterday, I'm sure someone under 25 can tell me what is. A new low for me.
Then they played The Golden Path at half time, a new high.
-
I have spent so much time thinking about this it's ridiculous, hated last few seasons so much.
'Fanfare for the Common Man' this season was, I thought, a hilarious bit of sarcasm following our take-over by a multimillionaire.
Don't care where it comes from, think we should go with...
The Clash - I Fought the Law
We am all Villains after all
-
Play a bit of Dave Ismay and be done with it.
-
I still don't know why we can't have ' The Sun Never Sets' by Spizzenergi. One of the better tribute songs but I can't recall it ever being played at Villa Park.
-

I might be 34 years older than 25 but can tell you it's: 'This Girl' by Kungs vs Cookin' On 3 Burners, as I mentioned in the post-match thread. It was a top seller last year and, personally, I think we should stick with it. Kungs is a 20 year-old French DJ and producer and released his first album, Layers, in November; it's well worth a listen.

Yeah, good shout. It's got that early 90's nostalgia and is uniquely Villa. I love some of the lyrics too.
-
I always liked Sirius by Alan Parsons as one. Could work
-
TFAUSM
That's the one for me as well - it's ours - it's unique and as well as having a bit of a Tony Butler connection it's a reminder of our great days.

same for me,
it's the only entrance music that is really associated with us
It's so laughably cranky it ends up becoming good

Just looked at a fan blog of today's game and looks like we'll be coming out to this as our walk out music for the first couple of games. A nice iconic tune for us but not sure it really fits for a walk out. Can't quite believe John Terry would've chosen this but maybe someone upstairs tipped him off.
-
We came out to it for the first and second half. I agree, it's iconic to us older fans but it's hardly inspiring. I'd prefer it to be the last song played before we come out.
-

Agree. It would be good to play with some clips before the teams come out. As it was we got two helpings of Hi Ho Silver Lining with those today.
Geno by Dexys for me as the teams come out.
-
For tonight only:
-
-
Bring back we will rock you
-
Bring back we will rock you
Let's not.
-
Certainly not bloody Chelsea Dagger. I've not forgotten when some bright sparked played it when we scored against Arsenal.
Oh it was much worse than against Arse...it was against Chelsea of all clubs. Staggering.
As for the current feckin racket by Craig somone, never has a 'song' killed any hope of an atmosphere as much as this horrible row. You can't hear yourself think, it's bleeding awful. You must have cloth ears to enjoy this.
-
Can't believe the club is still churning out that excruciating racket as entrance music. Not in the least bit inspiring. Hardly uplifting for the players/fans
-
The screeching crescendo is met with utter silence as we all recover our hearing and the ability to converse.
-
I like it.
