Still in development, but looks a lot better:
http://beta.avfc.co.uk/
-
feels a lot better so far.
-
Yes! Into the 21st Century!
-
It's a bit cleaner, but still looks very similar to how it did before, ie poorly laid out.
-
I get the same feeling I did when it last changed: still not good enough.
-
I do not see Kevin Macdonald listed. Has he gone? Cowans appears to have kept his job.
-
I think it's absolutely fine.
-
Looks fine to me, I rarely go on there these days anyway.
-
Wait a minute - I thought THIS was the official site?!
-
I wonder how much extra it will cost to use, after all they need to replace Jack
-
I like it. id love to know what more people think they can add/do
-
If you separate out the design and content into different elements I'd say the design is now very good. The quality of the content is questionable but lets see how things settle following the staffing changes. What I'd like to see is a full highlights service and a lot more content about the players at all levels of the club.
-
It looks better, I'm all for clean design on websites. It does annoy me that they feel the need to remind us of the last result though, that's tow summers now where on of the first things you see on the Villa website is "Arsenal 4 Villa 0" - to make it worse the new design lists the last four results so now a bad one will linger for weeks during the season as well.

I can't find Club Who's Who let alone McDonald or Cowans!

New owners, new manager, new back room staff, new website - good!
Player profile Gabriel Agbonlahor Games 15 Goals 1 Assists 2 - not good!

Clicking that link made me realise I barely ever go on the official site. I get all my Villa news right here. I've used it for tickets occasionally but, other than that, nada.

The 404 page is quite good

speaking of the website, apparently we are playing almost all of our games this season on a Friday
-
I rarely use the website but I have noticed a change in the tone of the Twitter feed.
It's feels more personable, not so cold and matter of fact and is certainly more (but not often) partisan.
They tweeted a reminder about the J6 closure earlier, with a fabulous picture of Villa Park from the Expressway.

I noticed this too, it's a good change and seems to be more in tune so far. Some of the timing of tweets and posts from Villa's old social media, some of their interviews and blind-propaganda type posts were horrible to endure.
