Here's hoping Gabby turns up.
-
Hutton should be an improvement. Sad to see no Gana still. Gabby must have a picture of Sherwood performing unnatural acts with animals stashed away somewhere. Hopefully Veretout will come on rather than Ayew in practically every conceivable circumstance. Oh, and fuck the fuckers!
-
Taking into account the injuries, I'm ok with the starting line up
It's Tim getting the subs right that worries me
-
To be fair Gabbys running caused Leicester problems last week.
-
Fuck the fuckers, indeed.
-
To be fair Gabbys running caused Leicester problems last week.
He set up Gil's goal, plus when he went off we no longer had an outlet. Not that he was keeping it but he was pinning defenders back a bit. Gil starts, which is great news.
-
Decent enough starting line up. I just hope we've pre-printed Veretout's name onto the sub's sheet for the fourth official.
-

"Repeat to self.....Veretout for Gil, Veretout for Gil....."
-
Fuck the fuckers, indeed.
more than usual
-
Uh oh, riot vans heading down Aston Lane with lights and sirens
-
I'm back at home with two print out tickets
traffic problems and a late start did for me, well pissed off
-
Not his biggest fan but Gabby didn't have a bad game against Leicester....kept it simple.
I'm still miffed on Kozak!?
-
I want to be aggressive in his subs when needed and not be stubborn to be defensive if we are leading.
-
Happy with that line up. Well done, Timothy.
-
I'm back at home with two print out tickets
traffic problems and a late start did for me, well pissed off
How close did you get??
-
Gil didn't practice all week, don't know if he'll pair well with Westwood against the bags.
So dumb we don't utilize Kozak , oh well it's a lost cause at this point.
Fuck em up.
-
Decent line-up. Ayew can come on when we're 6-0 up.
-

45 minute hold up getting out of Milton Keynes then found the junction (14) was shut down due to a lorry shed load I think, nothing to do with motorways but I'm sure they are busy as well
Anyway I cut my losses and went home as my little lad was needing a wee
-
Here's hoping Gabby turns up.
Here's hoping he and Sinclair get some service.
I liked there movement first half last week, mixing it up, opening up spaces for Grealish and Gil to exploit. More of same today chaps, preferably in both halves.
-
Taken a random punt on Amavi anytime goalscorer - 16-1.
-
Come on you lions...let's make west Bromwich an even more depressing place tonight !
-
Need to win this one, Hutton in for Bacuna is a no brainer but dont think the set up in midfield is right yet.
Would be happier to see Amavi playing it safe defensively today, has gone to pot defensively late on in games for us costing us points.
-
Don't shit it, Villa.
-
Bloody Hell. Good save, Guzan!
-
Good save early from Guzan.
-
Poor start from us.
-
West Brom have had the better of the first six minutes or so. Another corner for them now, too.
-
Come on you Villa boys, need a win here. I'd love to see Veretout getting some game time.
-
Agree. Poor start by us. We look rattled already.
-
And another one.
-
Don't look great, do we?
-
Gil playing far too narrow at the moment, cant see Hutton getting any protection if Gil continues to play in the middle of the pitch
Need to move either Gabby or Sinclair to the right pretty quickly as they have got a run on us in midfield already
-
It's all Albion.
-
Sounds a bit dead on the wireless.
-
WBA more adventurous than we were expecting. Think they sense we are weak and there for the taking. Hope they've misjudged us.
-
We just need to have a few minutes passing the ball around to settle things down. I think we'll be alright.
-
Can't see no west brom bus yet
-
Bournemouth beating Sunderland 2-0 already. Crikey.
-
We haven't put two passes together yet
-
Have Grealish or Gil touched the ball yet?
-
We look like we've never seen a football before. What is this strange, bouncy object?
-
A bit more like it now, Villa.
-
Have Grealish or Gil touched the ball yet?
Both are pretty ineffective when your on the back foot.
-
Sounds more promising.
-
The one thing that is far more enjoyable is at least we are trying to play football the proper way. As opposed to Lump It Lambert.
-
Yes, but we need good results.
-
This is awful. Giving the ball away far too much.
-
our centre halves have been very very poor so far, we look in trouble imo
cant get Grealish or Gil into the game, cant remember a touch from either Sinclair or Gabby so far
-
The one thing that is far more enjoyable is at least we are trying to play football the proper way. As opposed to Lump It Lambert.
Needs to be effective though.
-
We don't really have a focal point for out attacks, do we? We're missing someone up front who can protect the ball and allow the other attackers to pivot around him. If we're going to play with these four up front, who are mobile, then they need to have a really good understanding and excellent passing in tight spaces.
-
Yeah, it's light years away from the shite that Lambert and McLeish used to serve up. I think it will pay off in the long term too. It would be good to get a few positive results in the here and now, though!
-
Floated passes up to Gabby aren't going to work against this lot in a million years.
-
Huh. I must say I think Gestede would be the better bet up front against this lot.
-
The one thing that is far more enjoyable is at least we are trying to play football the proper way. As opposed to Lump It Lambert.
Unfortunately I disagree. We've hoofed at least 6 or 7 long balls to Gabby already.
It's not working.
-
Floated passes up to Gabby aren't going to work against this lot in a million years.
True but his movement is non existent too, should be looking for a ball down the side of the centre halves to run onto
-
Eh? I haven't noticed any hit'n'hopes really. In fact, as per that last effort on goal, we're starting to play some very nice stuff, mostly coming through Gil.
-
Lofty from Eastenders in da house.
-
Oh, there's Rpy fucking Keane.
-
Great work from Gabby.
-
Nice bit of play then, more like it from Gabby and Gil
-
Really good stuff from Villa, and also from Agbolahor, using his speed. Thought he'd be the right choice against this lot.
-
We need to play more compact, lots of give and gos, keep the four forwards constantly moving and zipping the ball about. When it slows down, they're too comfortable.
-
God knows why we're booting it long against these. Basic stuff for a Pulis side.
-
That is excellent from Sanchez. Terrific tracking back and covering.
-
God knows why we're booting it long against these. Basic stuff for a Pulis side.
We're not booting it. We're passing it around pretty sweetly.
-
Westwood still struggling with that kicking a football thing.
-
Good save again from Guzan.
-
If we had a really good attacking right-back, we'd be a huge threat. Hutton gets into some great positions but isn't good enough to take advantage.
-
Carles Gil really is a good player, I think. Works harder than I expected, too.
-
Some good reffing there
-
Looking a bit more comfortable now at least. Just need s goal threat
-
Carles Gil really is a good player, I think. Works harder than I expected, too.
You've got to love Gil and Grealish and the ease that they can go past a player.
-
Horrible goal in every way.
-
For fuck sake Villa. Sigh.
-
Oh for fucks sake.
-
Fucking ace
-
Deserved lead for Albion
-
That was coming. We're shit, aren't we?
-
::)
-
Only Gabby can save us now.
-
ah fuck, a lot of bloody unlucky goals this season.
-
Now this is when they'll park the bus.
-
Why does Lescott retreat to the near post?
This isn't a Pulis side, mate.
Fuckin hell.
-
Jesus what has happened to this football club?
-
I never expect to get anything out of a game anymore Were incapable of it.
-
Westwood in can't kick a football shocker.
-
We'll still win this.
I'm really not a fan of Westwood's shooting. I mean, he's no Tonev, but he's pretty wayward.
-
Amavi jumping out of a tackle on the edge of his own box didnt help matters there
-
Prepare for the biggest bus you'll ever see.
-
We are thoroughly shit aren't we
-
Our home record is atrocious.
-
You do wonder where our goals are going to come from this season.
-
They know they can sit back now and just wait for mistakes from us..mistakes from us are as predictable as the tides.
-
We are thoroughly shit aren't we
Well, no. I don't think we are. This is a pretty close game I think, and we've been playing some decent stuff and have conceded a pretty unfortunate goal.
Our record is shit, but we're currently doing OK.
-
Albion will be delighted that all we can do is stroke the ball about in front of them on the halfway line before giving it away. Let's see what masterstroke Tim can rustle up in the second half, because we've been garbage this half.
-
Jeff Stelling is a twat, building up news of the goal as "the ball in the visitors net".
-
You do wonder where our goals are going to come from this season.
Can't score ,can't defend it really doesn't bode well
-
We are thoroughly shit aren't we
Well, no. I don't think we are. This is a pretty close game I think, and we've been playing some decent stuff and have conceded a pretty unfortunate goal.
Our record is shit, but we're currently doing OK.
We've been playing some decent stuff, without looking the slightest bit threatening apart from one shot by Gil. I think that's the only time we actually got behind them.
-
five years of unadulterated mediocrity
-

Gil has been nice to watch but we're toothless in the final third. Need more dynamic up top, it's sad.
We are not good.
-
We've had at least two decent chances that I can think of.
Still another half to play yet, and we're far from being overwhelmed here.
-
five years of unadulterated mediocrity
I crave mediocrity
-
Sadly this game shows why Pulis is a far better manager than Sherwood. They look organised with a proper plan. We look a disorganised rabble.
-
Their keeper has had the easiest 45 he'll probably have this season.
-
Depressing pile of shit. Albion are an abysmal team and they have been better than us. Fucking pathetic
-
We look bad in the most dangerous way - the always-lose-never-win way. We have a decent keeper (despite the recent criticism he's undoubtedly a decent keeper), a defence which, on paper, looks fine, perfectly acceptable footballers in midfield, variety and excitement in attacking midfield and a problem up front. However, despite how promising we look, the same thing happens every week - we either lose or don't win. It's very dangerous to just look like you're going to lose every game.
-
five years of unadulterated mediocrity
I crave mediocrity
Would trade a leg to be mediocre.
-
" Villa have offered nothing in front of goal against a well drilled Pulis side" was the radio 5 halftime summary. Difficult to argue with that.
-
We've had at least two decent chances that I can think of.
Still another half to play yet, and we're far from being overwhelmed here.
To be fair, my stream is absolutely dire, so I may have missed some of our better passages of play.
-
We are absolute garbage, all we've done is lamp it up to Gabby. We're so slow and pedestrian, we play with no tempo what so ever.
-
I suppose we could be Newcastle and have McLaren as manager
*clutches desperately at straws
-
We are thoroughly shit aren't we

I agree, having to make all the changes we have its no surprise that were not quite up to scratch.
But there are signs that we can get there and football is way better than it was under Lambert, which I know isint that hard.
-
It's nice that occasionally we can pass it around a little bit and what not, but I am sick to the tits of losing matches. It's just nowhere near good enough, and hasn't been for several years.
They're now going to park the fucking bus for 45 minutes and render the second half entirely predictable.
Sherwood needs to start producing something to back up the all the talking he does, because this is just shit week after week.
-
five years of unadulterated mediocrity
I crave mediocrity
Quite. This word gets bandied around quite a lot in regard to us, but it's completely inappropriate. We've been shit, not mediocre. We can only dream of mediocrity at the moment.
-
Sadly this game shows why Pulis is a far better manager than Sherwood. They look organised with a proper plan. We look a disorganised rabble.
I don't think we look disorganised at all. Quite the opposite, really. The second half last week against Leicester was disorganised.
-
I'm not so sure they will even need to park the bus. Desperately poor by Villa going forward.
Terribly unlucky deflection for the goal, but wtf is Amavi doing shitting out of a tackle?
something has to change for us up front. For me, it would have to be Gestede (who hasn't impressed me up to now) instead of Agbonlahor
-
We are thoroughly shit aren't we
Yep, and have been for years now. Our inability to sign a proper striker will see us in the relegation zone for the rest of the season.
-
Looking at the subs, I don't see anyone who can come on and change this game either.
-
What have we become? I think I'd take a draw now.
-
Shots on target: 0
Marvellous.
-
any critique of that half has to be tempered with howpoor west brom are.
That speaks volumes about us
-
This is one of the poorest displays I've had the misfortune to attend since... I'd like to say a long time, but it's not.
Utter fucking shite. We have no width. None. Their back four is tucking in narrow, condensing the space between the defence and midfield who are completely outnumbering us. Their midfield becomes a 5 and we are looking to play through a quagmire. Utter shite.
Westwood has been woeful. Always lets his man run off him. Sanchez is doing the work of two men and is up against three.
Fucking woeful.
-

Especially after losing the way we did to Lesterr. You think they would take some initiative and turn up today. Quite the opposite. Don't have a good feeling about the second, but what the hell do I know.
-
We are thoroughly shit aren't we
Well, no. I don't think we are. This is a pretty close game I think, and we've been playing some decent stuff and have conceded a pretty unfortunate goal.

Glad you can take the positives from that 45mins
-
Pretty grim stuff.
-
when I said mediocre I was trying to put a positive spin on things. Which is hard.
-
Amavi was so weak for the goal. Downing esque level of bottling a tackle
-
Who wouldve thought our defending would be worse once Lambert left? With the lack of goals in our forward line we could be fucked by Xmas.
-
Hopefully Sherwood will bring Sinclair on second half. Hoofing it up to Gabby is making it very easy for Albion to defend. The same goes with high balls into the box. Albion are very compact so we need to explore other options.
Very open game, either team could have gone in one up but Albion created more chances so probably deserve it if you had to give it to one. Shocking defending from Amavi and the defence again doesn't fill me with confidence.
-
They are bigger and stronger than us, and that is about it. Hoofing the ball up towards Gabby isn't that useful a tactic. So far only Gil has looked worth a place.
Maybe a proper central midfielder in Sinclair's position would help. Ayew would be lost in this game, the only alternative to Gabby is Gestede.
Puke.
-

I don't think we look disorganised at all. Quite the opposite, really. The second half last week against Leicester was disorganised.
Would you really swap Sherwood for Pullis though? I couldn't bare to watch a Pullis team for a full season.
-

I thought Sinclair started?
-
Hopefully Sherwood will bring Sinclair on second half.
Er…..
-
This is what will happen in the second half. We'll continue in much the same way, passing it back and forth in front of a comfortable Albion midfield. We'll lump the ball up to Gabby, who will fall over and try to get us a penalty. He may even succeed. Either way, it'll either finish 1-1, if we're really, really lucky, or we will lose. And we'll thoroughly deserve the defeat.

That is a damning indictment of Sinclair's first half performance, as he is already on the pitch lol
-
You do wonder where our goals are going to come from this season.
Can't score ,can't defend it really doesn't bode well
Very true I am afraid. Gil is very good today but we are so poor going forward, has their keeper had a save to make? We never look like scoring. And we always seem to make defensive errors. I really hate it. If we loose today , we have one point in five games
-

I would. It might not be pretty, but it's effective. Sherwood makes a lot of noise, but at the moment he's being found out.
-
We are now about to witness Sherwood attempting to change a game. Hold onto your seats folks.
-
We are now about to witness Sherwood attempting to change a game. Hold onto your seats folks.
What could possibly go wrong?
-
Again, no matter how much I hate us being shit, I'd rather stop supporting Villa entirely than have Tiny Penis as our manager.
-
bottom three as it stands.
it needs the right substitutions this time or it's not going to be pretty

I bet you a grand you never thought that when we beat them last season
-
I said before the game to my wife (Albion season ticket holder and gone today) that they'll go 1-0 up first half, probably through Berahino and they'll all love him again, then we'll batter them second half and draw 1-1. Can't see that though after that first half, they won't cross the halfway line now and we're too slow and pedestrian to break them down.
-
We are now about to witness Sherwood attempting to change a game. Hold onto your seats folks.
What could possibly go wrong?
He'll probably send the entire midfield out with clogs on.
-
Sherwood has done nothing to indicate he can manage at this level, and his subs recently have made us much worse rather than improved us.
Lets hope he can turn it around this half.
-
I've said it before but we are like Albion under Mowbray we all know what happened there.
-
Hopefully Sherwood will bring Sinclair on second half. Hoofing it up to Gabby is making it very easy for Albion to defend. The same goes with high balls into the box. Albion are very compact so we need to explore other options.

pretty accurate one though, doesnt want to know unfortunately with his back to goal
they have been the better side and had a couple of great chances early on
would like to see veretout on at half time, need something different in midfield
dont think Grealish could have any complaints if he got the hook
-
i'd take sinclair off and put veretout on and give gil and grealish full licence to attack
-
Shoot!!!
-
Gestede coming on
-
Here we are, Gestede on.
-
bottom three as it stands.
it needs the right substitutions this time or it's not going to be pretty
Poised to be our worst start since we were last relegated, no?
-

We'll play a bit better and have a 25 minute spell when we are much the better side.
We won't score, though, they'll get another.
Next week plenty of us will be saying how we at least played decently for a bit and how the football is much better than under Lambert.
I also suspect the master tactician Sherwood will do something absolutely fucking stupid. In fact, it will be him doing something brainless that will allow them back into the game.
-
Dire stuff. We effectively have no strikers, which is going to make not getting relegated this year interesting. I'm guessing that Tim's tactical master stroke will be to bring Gestede on for Sinclair.
-
Sinclair off...............WTF
-
why the fuck not take gabby off
-
Why take Sinclair off for Rudy?
Gabby is dead.
-

Take a bow

We have lots, they're just not all that
-
Westwood. Can't. Kick. A. Football.

I thought Sinclair started?
He did, not that you'd notice. We're not getting him involved in the game, it's like playing with ten men. He's wasted if we don't change the ridiculous attacking tactics. He needs to be more involved.
-

I wouldn't hold your breath for that.
-
Pulis already with the time wasting.
-
Take off your best goal scorer to promote better hoofing.
Genius.
-
I'm waiting with bated breath for the 70 minute mark, when Sherwood sends on one of the mascots to replace Gil and instructs Westwood to start playing one-twos with the moon.
-
It is like taking repeated body blows being a Villa fan.
-
Westwood. Can't. Kick. A. Football.
He just did kick a football. Not particularly accurately on the last occasion, granted.
-
There is something seriously fucking dodgy going on to leave Gabby on above our top scorer? TS doing his best to alienate himself very early in his Villa career. This will finish badly for us, not just today but the season.
-
Here we go, stroking it around harmlessly in front of the Albion midfield before launching it in the box. This is our master plan.
-
As things stand, we're accruing points at a rate which suggests a 25 points finish.
-
If we are going route one in the second half, would much prefer Sinclair reading the knock ons from Gestede than Gabby
no width or pace in our midfield, both nominal widemen spending more time infield = a mess
-
Gabby can't even spell 'goal'.
-
It is like taking repeated body blows being a Villa fan.
Been like that for a very long time mate........
-
This forum is the equivalent of listening to the Arsenal/ Liverpool fans on Talksports Sport bar.....never fail to have a laugh...at them!
-
On paper we look ok....we seem to be less than the sum of our parts.
-
It doesnt make sense that Gabby is playing, his head is clearly not anywhere near the right place. Totally fucking astonishing decision.
-
Why take Sinclair off for Rudy?
Gabby is dead.
Good Lord the quality of analysis on here. 1. Sinclair so anonymous someone thought he wasn't on the pitch; 2. Only real chance created and a very good one for Gil came directly from Gabby's good work. 3. Gabby has struggled in the air against two shaky looking centre halves hence put the big striker on. $. Westwood has been excellent first half doing largely the necessary things noone ever gets praise for and is consistently excellent at doing just that.
-
Guess the next Timmie sub??? Bunn for Gil is my bet.
-
Guess the next Timmie sub??? Bunn for Gil is my bet.
Lorna, the players' liaison officer for Guzan.
-
Amavi is class.
-
Injury aside what else will deny Gabby a place in the side?
-

Sherwood for Zephaniah.

Some sort of reality-bending celestial event, maybe?
-
Gil to know k this in

Now that would be fabulous. The post match press conferences would be something else...
-
On 75 minutes, Tim will substitute himself for Mrs Grimplex, head cleaner. She'll win us the game with a slice of tactical genius.

Oh please.
Gabby will be gassed by the 75th. We need a goal, and I'll take Sinclair's form over Gabby's at the moment.
We were already showing that we had no width and a condensed back like is killing us. That is what Sinclair is for, taking him off was a bad idea. Simple as.
Name one thing gabby does better than Scott?
-

He's going to take off Sanchez and replace him with Mr Darcy from Wuthering Heights.
When he gets stick for this during the week, he'll flatly refuse to even consider that there was anything wrong with his substitution, even if it was a character from fiction.
-
Sanchez is like Cinderella. The clock hits the hour mark, and everything he does turns to shit.
-
Injury aside what else will deny Gabby a place in the side?
Some sort of reality-bending celestial event, maybe?
Ancelotti could roll into Villa Park next week, sign Messi and Ronaldo and they'd be supplying Gabby through the middle.

Breed.
-
shocking defending from Richards
-
We're embarrassingly shit. Can we substitute shit for not shit?
-
This is absolutely fucking terrible.
-
Terrifying Guzan moment there.
-

;D
I was expecting "Run" but that'll do. First smile of the match for me.
-
I can't really work out what we're trying to do here.
-
I sometimes wonder if there is a gypsy curse at Villa Park.
-
Are we ever going to win a game of football again ?
-
Amavi is class.
He's also a liability though.
-
The thing is, we've all known for absolutely ages that playing Gabby up front on his own at VP is as about as much use as standing in a field, lobbing cowpats up into the air and trying to head them as they come down.
It's such a universal truth, you'd think someone at the club could have pointed it out to Sherwood when he first arrived. Or showed him how the fucking DVD player works.
-
Could this be the season when our luck runs out?
-
I can't really work out what we're trying to do here.
'Give the ball to Gil and Grealish and let's hope they do something.'
-
As things are Albion have got this game in the bag.
-
Amavi is class.
He's also a liability though.
Who isn't though?
-
Hmm. Not looking good is it.
-
Poor from Gil then.
-
Pretty disasterous display so far.
-
Amavi is class.
He's also a liability though.
Yeah bring back Cissokho....no pleasing some.
-
Haven't heard much about Jack, has he been subbed for Pig out of Pipkins?
-
As if we needed some petrol for the fire on Tuesday. The atmosphere is going to be filthy.
-
Garbage.
-
Ah well another relegation scrap beckons
-
Even Newcastle have scored
-
Things could be the lowest its been here for some time come Wednesday morning.
-
Fucking hell Guzan...
-
Gabby's a fucking idiot. Let it go out for a corner you moron.
-
Gabby doing some good work in their box, but none of our players anywhere near him to give him an option.
This is uber-shit.
-
We need one little bit of luck. Leicester got a bit last week through our carelessness and turned the game around. We need a bit from the bitters here.
-
Oh great, 100% chance that Gardner scores now
-
We could play from now up until the Blues game on Tuesday and we still wouldn't score.
-
that should be the end of Gabby's day - Veretout for Gabby, move Gil further forward
-
Fucking hell Guzan...
He's become such a liability and accident waiting to happen.
-
Oh great, 100% chance that Gardner scores now
Or at least injures somebody.
-
Piss poor.
-
Well if we 're bottom 3 tonight then things won't look good when you consider the 6 teams we have played.
-
Why did I think that this season was going to be any different? We need to play a lot better than this. Quickly.
-
A 100% chance?
-
Has Sanchez been switched into "power save mode" yet? Surely about time?
-
It's such a bloody effort for us just to get the ball up to the final third.
-
Carlos Sanchez is becoming increasingly Carlos Sanchez-esque.
-
Liability, word of the day on here....
-
McCafu there!
-
Effortless giving away of the fucking ball.
-
Haha. Trevor Francis reckons Tiny Penis is worried about how much space Hutton is getting.
Because, as we all know, the big bald genius is fucking lethal in the final third.
-
Gestede has done absolutely nothing yet.
-
Decent from Gabby.
-
Leicester equalise unbelievable
-
No desire, no urgency, no cohesion, no plan, no good.
-
This ranks up alongside Burnley at home for Sherwood stewardship shitness.
-
Grealish's passing today has been absolutely gash.
-
I was really hoping this wasn't going to be yet another season of hoping there are 3 teams more hopeless than we are.....
-
Gestede has done absolutely nothing yet.
He's every inch the Championship player.
-
Is this our first corner?!
-
Hm, looking at this so far, I think for me it's the point where a slightly underwhelming, team are still gelling start to season becomes a genuinely concerning start to the season.
The turgid play coupled with the fact that our players all seem to be so injury prone does not bode well.
-
Leicester doing their thing again at Stoke.
-
Well, that's annoying.
-
There's Sherwood's excuse there.
-
Not Westwood, no!
-
Is this our first corner?!
Don't get negative now! You've been the only positive influence on the board.
But yes, it took us 70 minutes to get a corner.
-
Literally nothing goes our way
-
Why Westwood?!
-
Westwood's set pieces are amazing.
-
Westwood you are a piss poor excuse for a footballer. When is one of our managers going to realise that he's shite?
-
Is this our first corner?!
Don't get negative now! You've been the only positive influence on the board.
But yes, it took us 70 minutes to get a corner.
If it helps, I still think we'll score.
-
"Westwood usually drills the corner into the middle of the box"
Surely that should be "Westwood usually floats the ball pointlessly at the nearest defender at a glacial pace"?
-
Refs: always play advantage when we get fouled round the box and Westwood is on the pitch.
-
Westwood's set pieces are amazing.
He's got an impeccable 100 per cent shitness record.
-
Reminds me of when Forest went down.
-
Haha. Trevor Francis reckons Tiny Penis is worried about how much space Hutton is getting.
Because, as we all know, the big bald genius is fucking lethal in the final third.
Hutton has put in a fair old shift for us though
-
"Westwood usually drills the corner into the middle of the box"
Surely that should be "Westwood usually floats the ball pointlessly at the nearest defender at a glacial pace"?
"But Benteke asks for them to be floated in."
-
Westwood you are a piss poor excuse for a footballer. When is one of our managers going to realise that he's shite?
I agree why does he always take set pieces? Its very rare that anything comes from them.
-
Name one thing gabby does better than Scott?
Crossing.
-
It really is Timmie stupid sub time now.
-
Doesn't Tim remember Jack's corners v Everton last season?
-
Reminds me of when Forest went down.
That is good point. I remember Gary Bannister doing jack shit up front for them
-
Westwood you are a piss poor excuse for a footballer. When is one of our managers going to realise that he's shite?
I agree why does he always take set pieces? Its very rare that anything comes from them.
When Ashley Young left we clearly had to get someone in to fill that role.
-
How utterly shite must Veretout be not to be able to get into this team?
-
Have no fear chaps, Bacuna is coming on.
Victory is assured now
-
Haha. Trevor Francis reckons Tiny Penis is worried about how much space Hutton is getting.
Because, as we all know, the big bald genius is fucking lethal in the final third.
Hutton has put in a fair old shift for us though
I'm willing to bet that every manager we come up against tells his team to focus on keeping tight down their right, and treat Hutton as the lowest priority.
-
Virtually no response from villa since the goal. That's a worry.
-
It really is Timmie stupid sub time now.
Bacuna on?
That looks a winner.
-
Off fuck off Sherwood
-
With the talent at his disposal there is no way we should be this devoid of ideas. Fucking awful.
-
Villa heads look to be gone, Bacuna coming in
-
Fuck's sake. Bacuna on for Gil?
What the fuck are you doing?
-
Don't even look like scoring.
-
Leandro Bacuna for Carles Gil.
That is extraordinary.
-
Did Bacuna really come on for Gil?!
-
TS is a fucking idiot.
-
What the fucking fuck. Gil, one of our few players doing anything, comes off for Bacuna. Jesus fucking hell.
-
This is utter crap now.m
-
Great, Bacuna is on.
-
I'm rapidly going off Sherwood.
-
Gil and Sinclair off..
Logistically speaking we're surely less likely to score now?
-
I'm rapidly coming round to the view that Tim is a fucking moron.
-
What on earth is that boiled egg Wilkins doing to rein in this madness?
-
Is Gil ever going to be fit enough to finish a premier league game?
And Veretout?
-
Is he fucking trolling us?
-
He is not just a chancer , he actually hasnt a clue about the game of football.
-
Why do we so rarely build up a head of steam like Leicester did last week? When we're behind we still play like we're winning and seeing out the game.
-
myhill hasn't made a save all game
-
When Bacuna shows the others how to a free kick you will be praising Sherwood...
-
Bizarre subs are so frustrating.
-
Ah! Play for free kicks and then Bacuna can take them!
Now I understand!
-
I'm rapidly coming round to the view that Tim is a fucking moron.
I'm rapidly going off Sherwood.
I reckon we'll be amongst the first to turn.
-
When Bacuna shows the others how to a free kick you will be praising Sherwood...
When's the last time he scored one?
-
I've seen some gutless, witless shit from Villa over the years, but this takes the cake. Total and utter garbage from start to finish. And it hasn't even ended yet.
-
Bacuna gets a chance to do the one thing he can do and he can't do it.
-
Can we fuck Bacuna back off to the bench now he's had a chance to do the one thing he manages to do well about once a season?
-
What on earth is that boiled egg Wilkins doing to rein in this madness?
This.
-
I mean, I don't think we've been as bad as lots of you lot do, although clearly we've been toothless, but Bacuna on for Gil? That's just shit.
-
This is the easiest game Albion will have all season
-
I'm rapidly coming round to the view that Tim is a fucking moron.
I'm rapidly going off Sherwood.
I reckon we'll be amongst the first to turn.
I want to him to prove everyone he can become a good manager and there is so much he has done well since arriving. But he's coming up massively short now.
-
We don't even look like we are showing any urgency.
-
FFS. This is just SO depressing.
-
I've seen some gutless, witless shit from Villa over the years, but this takes the cake. Total and utter garbage from start to finish. And it hasn't even ended yet.
Short memory..
-
Oh well. At least we're doing a far better job of protecting the scoreline this week.
-
We don't even look like we are showing any urgency.
We don't EVER these days.
-
Well Sanchez comes off. Come on Jordan II, do something good with the ball please.
-
Veretout on now. Good thinking.
-
This is utterly woeful. Since the Southampton loss, it looks like Sherwood has been found out big style.
-
Veretout coming on, 6 days late.
-
Oh well. At least we're doing a far better job of protecting the scoreline this week.
Progress indeed.
-
Our home record has got to be up there with some of the worst over the last few years.
-
Tuesday is going to be a horror fest.
-
Sanchez had a decent game for us today, one of the few
-
Late goal time is upon us once again.
-
This is utterly woeful. Since the Southampton loss, it looks like Sherwood has been found out big style.
He's an absolute chancer.
I honestly think he is. Kept us up last season mostly on the basis of motivating players, but expect him to organise a football team which can win a match and he's clueless.
How many people thought Bacuna for Gil was a good idea, for example?
-
Amavi can't defend. He's in good company aswell.
-
Our home record has got to be up there with some of the worst over the last few years.
Our away record on the other hand...
-
If anybody looks like scoring it's them
-
You would think we would be throwing the kitchen sink at them but we're playing like it's us that's 1-0 up
-
They look more likely to score than we do
-
No communication, no teamwork. It's like they're kept in solitary confinement until matchday.
-
Albion in total command.
-
The thing that is so dissappointing is that there was so much hope at the start of the season. It has taken a handful of games and w eappear to be in exactly the same position as we were the last few seasons.
-
Yeah, at this point I am now of the opinion that we are playing shite. It's just…weird.
-
No hope
-
How on earth did Bacuna not play in Veretout there? That's so fucking basic.
-
So how the hell are things going to improve?? I can't see anything changing anytime soon
-
Gash.
-
Somebody remind me, how is Veretout related to George Weah again?
-
Has Gestede won a header yet? Bit of a hole in the 'game plan'.
-
Sherwood kept us up last season, but the credit is running out. Goes badly on Tuesday night and he will be under severe pressure.
-
We're so incredibly shit it's unbelievable.
-
Somebody remind me, how is Veretout related to George Weah again?
1st cousin isn't it?
-
Do Gabby and Gestede make the least technically able strike partnership in our history?
-
Do Gabby and Gestede make the least technically able strike partnership in our history?
It's pretty bad, isnt it.
-
We've often said recently "at least it's better football than under Lambert"
This wasn't, though, it has been embarrassing garbage.
-
I think Bacuna is absolutely fucking shit.
-
Torture.
-
Somebody remind me, how is Veretout related to George Weah again?
1st cousin isn't it?
Could be. Either that or he's won a raffle to play a game with real footballers.
-
I think I ask this every season but how in the fuck did it get so bad so quickly? It's like we go from going well and really promising to super shit very quickly. Cruising at Leicester playing some top football to crashing to earth in a matter of minutes.
-
Too easy for albion
-
Has Gestede won a header yet? Bit of a hole in the 'game plan'.
I don't think he's won a single header since scoring against Bournemouth.
-
4 minutes.
I wouldn't back us over 44 minutes.
-
This is the worst performance in a very long time.
-
Do Gabby and Gestede make the least technically able strike partnership in our history?
Who used Marcus Allback play up top with?
Bacuna has been surprisingly decent since coming on
-
We could play all night and I don't think we'd score.
-
4 minutes.
I wouldn't back us over 44 minutes.
But what would you be thinking if the roles were reversed?
-
Do Gabby and Gestede make the least technically able strike partnership in our history?

Compared to these two Allback looks like Tostao.
-
4 minutes.
I wouldn't back us over 44 minutes.
But what would you be thinking if the roles were reversed?
Guaranteed defeat.
-
We could play all night and I don't think we'd score.
Going to be the story in every game I fear...
-
We win one game every so often and keep our heads above water. Rest of the time its total shit.
-
Complete and utter turd on a stick.
-
Well. There it is.
Disappointing.
-
Instead of all of this emotional knee jerk twaddle spouted on here im going to offer a technical analysis of the situation at Villa Park in my next post.
-
Missed the first half. Was Sinclair pulled off because he was terrible?
-
Its all a bit fuckin shit !!!!
-
Despicable.
-
Instead of all of this emotional knee jerk twaddle spouted on here im going to offer a technical analysis of the situation at Villa Park in my next post.
Forward it to Sherwood.
-
Missed the first half. Was Sinclair pulled off because he was terrible?
Yup. Didn't do a thing I can remember. But neither did anyone else.
-
Tactics Tim.
-
Its all a bit fuckin shit !!!!
Less of the 'a bit'
-
Missed the first half. Was Sinclair pulled off because he was terrible?
Yes but fortunately for him Gestedes second half performance was even worse
-
Missed the first half. Was Sinclair pulled off because he was terrible?
pass a message on. Get a move on with the sale.
-
As predicted on a previous thread, dim Tim will walk if we lose to Blues.
