How are we doing fitness wise for Saturday?  Not too bad. My arthritis is bad and I have this pain in my knee but nothing that will keep me from the game. Thank you for asking.

Knees!
In the last three weeks I've put down battens, new/old oak floorboards and new skirting boards, waxing the lot, buffing (oooohhh eerrrh Mrs!) and polishing.
I no longer have knees - just lumps of indeterminate stuff - bits of bone, sinew, blood, gristle, gravel and sawdust - where my knees used to be!

I'll be fine for an early start on Saturday though.

Having an injury doesn't stop a medical being passed.

We signed Stewart Downing with a broken foot.

Fully fit and available....

except for hypertension, diabetes and farmer giles

so probably no different to ade, mabutt and the rest of last years squad (but they were a real pain in the arse at times)

Catheter removed now, op went well, still got major acid reflux and possible second op on hiatus hernia, and now have fatty liver as a bonus.
But besides all that football season about to kick off and alls good, thanks for asking 😉.

My point in asking (but thanks for the sarcasm anyway  ;)) was that players who miss most of pre season take an age to get up to speed when the season begins as all those fit just get fitter with game time. Where Okore and Jack were considered to be regulars in the side they may take a while to get back in, if they do at all
