3-1 Villa. We're poor, but Leicester are shit. We're due a home win and we'll do it convincingly. And then back it up with two defeats. That's how we roll.

Genuinely think we'll win this 1-0. Another game where take an early 1-0 lead, but with Benteke back in the team to aid ball retention we'll stand firm and hold out for the victory.

I got Crystal Palace right so I'm going for a second. 2-1 Villa, An early 2 goal lead from Benteke and Sanchez, which we hold until the last 5 where Leicester nick one and make us sweat.

We're poor but they are Championship bound and blooody awful. A scrappy and boring 2-0 home win. Which I would be pretty happy with, if we play even half an hour of good football I'll leave VP very pleased.

We're shit but I still can't see past a comfortable win. 2-0. Benteke double. I think he'll score a goal (probably of his own making) early in the second half to settle us. We'll then sit back a bit and try and break at them, as per the normal routine. We'll score a second and then twiddle our thumbs while they huff and puff.

As above. We'll be 4 - 1 up with 10 minutes to play. Lambert will tell the lads to park the bus. He'll sub Benteke to a standing ovation from the 23,000 freezing Villa fans in the stadium, and we'll concede 3 in the next 9 minutes before missing an open goal to win it in front of the Holte End in the 90th. 4 - 4

The last time I went to Villa v Leicester at home since a 1-3 reverse some time in the 90's when there was a nasty fight in the park amongst the flower beds. Halcyon days indeed. Since 2000 our record against them at home has been good hasn't it?

Instead of bringing "Charlie" in is there nothing to be said for giving a hatstand a try? It is less likely to relinquish possession as often and almost certainly has more vision. Maybe Hercules can take a break from his primary matchday role. Basically anyone else rather than a charlatan footballer.

One of the most i've been annoyed after a Leicester game was the 2000 LC semi at home. Negative wankers, and at the end celebrating a 0-0 as though they'd already won the cup, never mind still having a second leg to go in the semis. I wonder who was manager of such an exciting side?

They beat us 1-0 at their place didn't they in the return leg?

They didn't like us much and it could get a bit tasty in and around Filbert Street.

Yep, we lost the second leg 1-0. IIRC we had virtually no strikers fit, I think it may have been that big lump Matt Elliot who scored.

I agree that Benteke might be the difference. I don't think this is likely to be an overly aesthetic match, but he's the one player on either side who could just suddenly win it on his own.

So its 2-0 or 2-1 if Marc gets a rare run out for them.  Westwood and Cissoko.

Win. We should come out of the blocks firing, put them on the back foots and when we go 1-0 don't hold back, keep them under the cosh.

Would love to see a real confidence boosting 2/3-0. Benteke double and someone other than a forward to contribute.

3-1 win, the Benteke goal will do him a world of good and I expect him to score at least another on Sunday and an all round enjoyable performance for once. I hope.

I'm surprised how much Leicester have nosedived as they looked decent earlier this season, against some good teams aswell. Seems the Man. United win went to their heads.

We really should be creating a few chances against their defence.

Got a feeling this will be a frustrating draw, just don't have confidence in us winning back-to-back games atm. Could see it being 2-2 with us blowing a 2 goal lead by switching off thinking it's game over.

Looks like a very low attendance expected again, and poor from Leicester that they can't shift 3k tickets for a game an hour away in their first season back in the prem.

We'll do these. They are not much cop. Routine 2-0 home win a la Cardiff last season. Benteke and Cleverley.

I think so. As unconvincing as we are I still see us winning reasonably comfortably, without necessarily really going at them. If we did show attacking intent and had a go, I think this is a rare game we could dish out a tonking, like Norwich last season. We're too happy to sit back on a goal though.

Hopefully we will win, and the next two, which will leave us all happier.

Two matches are as clear to me now as they were many years ago.  beating Charlton 11-1 and Leicester 8-3 with Gordon Banks no less in goal.

Happy care free days.
Don't remember the game Steve, but I saw all of those players play for us and Bobby Thomson, Harry Burrows and John Sleeuwenhoek were a few of my first Villa heroes. I came to appreciate Alan Deakin, Vic Crowe and Nigel Sims a bit later. I was 7. Happy and carefree indeed...only whooping cough, diphtheria and scabies to worry about!

Four games unbeaten following a long run of losses.

I'd definitely agree with "relatively good form" compared to what preceded it.

I would bloody love a few Villa goals tomorrow, especially one or more in the Holte End where we'll be. Sounds greedy but I genuinely think the team we can put out tomorrow is good enough to give these bunch of chancers and has-beens a good turning over. I don't like the way our club is being run and I fear the manager has run out of ideas but I'll be cheering the team and want nothing more than Lambert to lead Villa to victory with some decent attacking football thrown in to boot!

My game came up with a 2-2 draw. With me scoring a beauty of a volley and Nzobgia burying laser of a shot as he sprinted into the box picking up a Benteke through pass. I have no idea who scored for Leicester, I don't pay much attention to what happens in that half of the pitch, tracking back is not my thing.

As for todays game, please win today Villa. I'm certainly not of the belief that we have turned some sort of corner long term but this is definitely a game we can win provided we try and score 2-3 as opposed to scoring once and then defending for 80 minutes.

Ive no idea how this is going to go . Leicester played some decent football in the week , in fact better than we did.

You would think its a home banker but this is my home town club and I've had so much shit from Leicester fans over the years
Where they were a bloody bogey team until we stuffed them 3 o and 5 0 one season.

The last game I saw live between us was a tight cup game where I think we won 3 2 and I had to sit in the Leicester end.

I reckon 1 1

And another thing please Lambert don't buy cleverly , use the money for Bolaise instead . I mentioned him when ever one was going on about Zaha and I said bolaise is the player to get for around two million . Get rid of nzogbia and spend the cleverly money on bolaise .

Ps bolaise wont be two million now  :(

I'd definitely play n'zogbia. He's the one player who is genuinely creative, apart from the injured Cole and unproven grealish

N'zogbia was a major threat v Spurs in a central role. But I think he'll play wider

He could be absolute Blues but surely we can't play against the bottom of the table side at home without a genuinely creative player in the side

Granted, N'Zogbia had a good game vs Spurs, but in every other game he's played he has been a liability. Sadly, he's a talented footballer without a hint of a footballing brain. Having said that Lambert will probably select him.

The advantage with Zog is that at least his first thought is always to attack, which if he has a half decent game can only benefit us at home. Compare with Gabby, Andi who will often just slow down an attack and/or pass backwards. Obviously if Zog has one of his utter gash games then it doesn't really matter what his first thought is as he'll just keep giving the ball away.

As i'm at death's door i'm now waiting for my lift to VP with the ever generous Mr Sox. I'm very tempted to wind him up and take a scarf to hang out the window for the massive journey from Hagley Road to VP.

Don't forget to do some singing and chanting en route. Mr Sox likes to be entertained thusly.

I once entertained him when we leaving Stoke by singing the Benteke song in the style of Brian Blessed. I don't think my throat will cope with Brian Blessed style "oooooooooohs" though. Which will disappoint him.

Another option is Bacuna but he probably will go with N'zogbia.
