About time I guess
No Gabby, Benteke or Delph
Could be a tough afternoon!
@AVFCOfficial: #AVFC Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Baker, Bertrand, Westwood, Bennett, Bacuna, Albrighton, Weimann, Holt. #AVFCLIVE
Villa subs: Steer, Sylla, Tonev, Clark, Robinson, Luna, Bowery.
-
Our team looks completely devoid of quality, it's a bit worrying when the team who is bottom appears to have more quality. We need to win this game as well.
-
Bench?
-
Can't see much more than a draw, if lucky.
Norwich were awful but Benteke brilliance turned the game. Delph did Chelsea. Beyond those 2, I don't see us opening them up.
-

Yep I'd have liked to see Helenius rather than Holt, who has not looked up to it.

Amazed he is not in the squad. I would have liked to see him in the side too.

Not even on the bench. He must really have upset Lambert somehow, be it attitude or displays in training.
-
Is it just me or is sidwell guaranteed to score first?
-
Well we've really got full value out of Helenius this year.
-
Bowery on the bench too, great stuff.
-
That team looks shocking, what's up with Delph?
-
I'd like to see Bennett on the right and Albrighton on the left, cutting in. Holt is pretty good at protecting the ball and bringing in midfielders, so if those two cut in they could get some joy. Always thought Bennett was better in this sort of role anyway.
-
Bowery on the bench too, great stuff.
Still has time to make the squad for Brazil.
-
Delph achilles
-
That must be the weakest bench i have ever seen for villa
-
I can't remember a worse Villa team than that and the bench is a joke.
-
Delph achilles
Picked up at Manure or in training like the others?
Come on you babbies, need to roll ya sleeves up today!!! UTV
-
Always thought Bennett was better in this sort of role anyway.
Not convinced he's good enough going forward to be a winger, or good enough defensively to be a full back. Not sure what he is.
-

Good job Holt's not sitting on it then.... He'd break it!!!
-
looks at the line up. Gulps and hides under the covers.
I suppose Fulham need to come at us, so Bennett and Marco might provide some breaking speed on the counter. We must be the most cursed team with injuries.
-

Pretty damning assessment. Since he's better going forward I'd say he's a winger, but it might be a Championship-level sort of winger.
-
That team and bench is pretty appalling to be honest, have we no decent reserves?
-
I bloody knew he'd go with Weimann and Holt. Easy afternoon for Hangeland - get above Holt, no threat.
-
12 Lambert signings in that squad 13 if you count Guzan and it's fucking shite.
-
Achilles, anyone who watches the reserves and the youth team like myself, will tell you we have several decent reserves ,this manager just not brave enough to give them a chance
-
Delph achilles

Not 100% sure.
-
Just seen John Carew.
-
What has Helenius done wrong?
-
Just seen John Carew.
Ah good, is he in for Holt?
-
Looks like a straight 4-4-2 to me. Or possibly a 4-2-3-1, but that would see Bennett or Bertrand as attacking wingers. Not entirely convinced either could do that.
The least convincing part of that side for me though is Holt. He'll be dead on his feet after 20 minutes probably. I'd actually have played Bowery ahead of him because the lad hasn't yet had a chance through the middle, and he'd also be more mobile. Because refs are a bit stricter in the last couple of seasons against front men backing in etc, or what you might call gamesmanship, I don't think players like Holt will be half as effective. They'll give away twice as many fouls as they receive in their favour.
Disappointed not to see Helenius given a chance, or Tonev, who looked fresh and lively.
We shall see. All I'll say for Holt though is, that give him a chance in the box and you'd fancy him to put it away, where-as you'd feel that Bowery for example, might be cursed to never hit the proverbial barn door at this level.
Weimann should have been dropped too. He's run out of steam, and that's before you even consider the issue of his form.
-
12 Lambert signings in that squad 13 if you count Guzan and it's fucking shite.
Agreed but also have to look at what he has been given to spend on fee's and wages , admitted he wanted Holtby but couldn't afford wages. The fact we can't afford to pay another prem league players wages for 6 months speaks volumes..
-
With three key players out it shows just how week the depth of our squad is.
-
What has Helenius done wrong?
Injured in March pal.
Holt is out of shape also, can see his flab through the shirt ffs.
-
What has Helenius done wrong?
Been shite in training probably.
Edit: Or injured as per the above post....
-
That is one uninspiring Villa team
-
I am officially shitting myself
-
Good afternoon gentlemen.
I heard we've lost 13 out of the last 18 games, is that right? Still, we're at home and we're up against one of the league's poorest teams by some distance. What can possibly go wrong?
-
Early days, but we look poor. They are targeting Lowton.
-
Should be behind.
-
A comfortable afternoon, it is comfortable sitting on the toilet quietlY praying.
-
Lowton looks a waste of time in my opinion.
-
Bacuna never hots a cross at head height
-
Achilles, anyone who watches the reserves and the youth team like myself, will tell you we have several decent reserves ,this manager just not brave enough to give them a chance
Therefore you have to ask the question "Why not", at least the fans would understand a bit better?
-
I thought he'd have gone with Bertrand at left back and Bennett at left mid, but looks like he's gone the other way around.
-
Some good possession play there.
I mean, it went nowhere and then we gave it away, but we kept it well for a while.
-
I just fucking hate it when we start to pass it in our own half. We haven't a fucking idea what to do.
-
That there encapsulated what I mean about Lambert's good intentions but inability to put them into practice. Under pressure they still tried to pass their way out from the back, but any competently trained team would've got the ball into central midfield as soon as they had the chance, and they had plenty of chances. Instead, they were impatient and tried to thread the needle down the channel with a lofted pass, and we lucked a throw. There's good intentions here, but no plan.
-
Better. Albrighton's having a fair game
-
For a side that must win Fulham look rubbish. One goal will win this for us.
-
Passing the ball round for fun according to Talk Sport
-
So what am I looking at here? It's a straight up 4-4-2, is it?
-
We're creating a few bits and pieces, get an early goal and I fancy Fulham to crumble.
-
So what am I looking at here? It's a straight up 4-4-2, is it?
Not at all, it's gone a bit mad. 4-3-3 with Bennett at left-back, Bertrand in midfield with Westwood and Bacuna with Albrighton and Weimann wide of Holt.
-
Albion 1 up
-

Yeah…...I can't decide if it's fluid and flexible or just everyone looking a bit all over the place.
-
Holt working hard.
-

I think it's accidental (therefore perfect) game theory: if we don't know what we're doing, how will the opposition?
-
Does anyone genuinely know what has happened with Helenius?
-
Does anyone genuinely know what has happened with Helenius?
Injured apparently.
-
Does anyone genuinely know what has happened with Helenius?
I'm sure I remember a story that he was injured last month, but that might be my imagination. If he's not, I do wish he were playing. I mean, how much harm could it do against Fulham?
-
Is Gary Gardner injured or just been thrown on the scrap heap?
-
Baker oh dear good afternoon
-
Holy shit that was close, they really should have scored there.
-
Baker does exactly that about once a game.
-
Aston Villa: great club, terrible team.
-
This is a good site for checking injuries: Physio Room (http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php). Helenius isn't listed. I believe Gardner's on loan at Wednesday.
-
Erm... Holt looks a bloody useful player to me
-
Holt winning free kicks left, right and centre. Quite amusing, actually.
-

He's been back a few weeks, I think
-
That was a chance for Weimann.
-
Erm... Holt looks a bloody useful player to me
He's certainly having a good, old fashioned, battling centre forward day so far. If only we could give him some decent service.
-
Erm... Holt looks a bloody useful player to me
If we had Holt and Holtby attacking the Holte it really would be a different story.
-
No idea how likely it is, but I hope Villa have another go at getting Holtby in during the summer. Good player.
-
Erm... Holt looks a bloody useful player to me
He's certainly having a good, old fashioned, battling centre forward day so far. If only we could give him some decent service.
Disagree, I think he is the player who gives service to on-rushing midfielders. The trouble is we don't have any.
-
well played Bacuna there.
-
Good effort Bacuna.
-
Unlucky Bacuna
Brilliant, brilliant hoof from Albrighton
-
Good effort by Bacuna
-
Bacuna looks decent again, today. Better in midfield, I think.
-
Brilliant, brilliant hoof from Albrighton
Indeed a brilliantly lucky hoofed ball from Albrighton
-
I'm not usually one for 'what ifs', but I do feel Delph would be running the show pretty comfortably against this lot if he were playing.
-

Which is why he needs some decent service. ;)
-
ffs villa dont give it away so easy
-
Brilliant, brilliant hoof from Albrighton
Indeed a brilliantly lucky hoofed ball from Albrighton
The word hoof was intentional
Playing so erratically.
Fuck me what was that Bennett.
Awful.
-
I don't know what the fuck he thinks he's doing, but Holt was just running about there, moving into a better position for the throw-in taker to pass to him and shifting the defender about.
That kind of Fancy-Dannery has no place at Villa Park as far as I'm concerned.
-
Two sides with almost no discernible quality here.
-
who gave the ball away then ? my stream is awful
-
Fulham fans complain they are useless in front of goal and it looks like it too.
-
who gave the ball away then ? my stream is awful
Bennett.
-
who gave the ball away then ? my stream is awful
It was the perfect possession-loss storm of Bennett and Baker.
-
who gave the ball away then ? my stream is awful
The usual suspect.
-
Holt and Benteke would have worked at home.
-

Watching those two trying to exchange passes is like watching some sort of pinball machine flash mob event.
-
Nice head-clutching there.
-

I thought he was back as well, so I suppose nobody really knows which is typical of the Villa, total lack of communication as normal.
-
Holt and Benteke would have worked at home.
But then we wouldn't have had any of the ball through midfield.

Anti-Leather magnets.
-
birtles getting frustrated with us .
-
Holt and Benteke would have worked at home.
But then we wouldn't have had any of the ball through midfield.
We don't anyway!
-
Baker bingo - thundering tackle - check
-
Holt and Benteke would have worked at home.
But then we wouldn't have had any of the ball through midfield.
We don't anyway!
That is true.
-
Hull 1 up against Swansea.
Moves us to 13th as it stands.
-
Dear God almighty this is shit. What a pair of crap teams.
-
Bertrand is playing as a genuine centre mid here isn't he?
-
championship mid table game this
-
Bertrand is playing as a genuine centre mid here isn't he?
And pretty well, I think.
-
they are getting on top
-
Shit our midfield has completely gone. Nothing at all.
-
Bertrand is playing as a genuine centre mid here isn't he?
Yep. Whether he is supposed to be, of course, is another question altogether.
-
Bacuna doesn't look a righ back....he doesn't look a midfielder either...gives the ball away sloppily and jogs back.
-
who gave the ball away then ? my stream is awful
The usual suspect.
mr Bennett
-
I've heard Delphs injury is a bad one??
-
I think I'd take the draw right now.
That's quite depressing, but hey-ho.
-
Midfield all over the shop.
-
Awful quality of football going on here. Just give us a one nil win so we can forget this season.
-
We look like a side that was put together in Aston Park 5 minutes before kick off. Coats for goalposts.
-
Holt is not a footballer, he is just a nuisance.
-
who gave the ball away then ? my stream is awful
The usual suspect.
mr Bennett
Poor Joe. Taking the crap for that Baker berk.
-
two crap teams
-
Not great stuff.
-
We look like a side that was put together in Aston Park 5 minutes before kick off. Coats for goalposts.
Thing is, Albrighton aside, they all look as bored with the whole thing as I am watching it.
Not good.
-
Shit game
-
This match so far is highly indicative of what we've become.
Playing an awful side like Fulham, we just look devoid of any quality on the pitch, and when you look at the bench, it is frighteningly poor.
I understand we've got injuries, but injuries happen, and it doesn't take an unimaginable number of them to reduce us to looking this threadbare.
-
Utter garbage...
-
Bertrand and Bacuna in the centre. Weimann fucking nowhere. What a disjointed side.
How many teams will play their full backs from last week centre mid the next?
If Sylla, Helenuis and Tonev are not good enough to play, get shot, and buy people who are! Without Delph and Benteke we look fucking lost, and fair play to Holt for trying at least.
Re Bacuna - he is a right sided midfield player, no more, no less. 4-4-2 on the right - perfect. Anywhere else, and he will get exposed.
-
Christ, we are awful.
-
We know what we are...
-
I don't trust us to pass the ball more than twice without losing it. Any passage of play in the Villa half is like tightrope walking over the Grand Canyon.
-
We were always bound to pick up injuries to key players its just the way it is. That's where the young and hungry model falls down because what's left simply isn't good enough. It's arguable whether our first 11 is good enough never mind what 's left.
-
Are we playing for a 0-0 because that's what it sounds like ?
-
We look like a side that was put together in Aston Park 5 minutes before kick off. Coats for goalposts.
Nothing new there then.
-
Bennett is playing well.Should be a midfielder
-
I'm seriously wondering why I bother to watch this crap anymore. It's just awful football for about 90% of the time under Lambert, with occasional flashes of competence doing just enough to keep the hope of some 'bright future' flickering.
And yet here I am.
-
I'd take a draw now. Draws are no good to Fulham and they've seen how bad we are. They'll go for it in the second half.
-
First 11 and Bench I figure cost a combined Ł10mil , we lack quality all over the pitch.I know we have injuries but this is shocking I suspect alot of Championship sides would turn this team over.
Fulham are there for the taking however we keep giving them chances..
-

Fortunately Fulham have the same injury problems.
-
some of the mistakes we make are just so bloody unbelievable!
Seen worse though haven't we?
-
Dreadful at Villa park today both on and off the pitch. Sitting here and being nervous about useless Fulham shows how bad we have become. Albrighton should really be not on the pitch but such are our resources that we have to rely on players like that. I have no hope of this match.
Anyway big John is on the pitch now addressing supporters. He needs to get changed and come on for the second half!
-
I've got to say, for the team we've put out, I didn't think that was too bad a half. We've played worst this year with a full strength side.
-
John Motson, BBC Match of the Day commentator
Aston Villa 0-0 Fulham
"It's been a fluctuating first half. Both teams have had a right go and shown a willingness to go forward, but have lacked a cutting edge. It's got plenty to offer, but with no end product."
Pretty generous summing up from Motty, there.
-
The first half is brought to an end. Thankfully
-
Not too bad so far. Playing the ball fairly well at times, but so far there's been no cutting edge. Think we'll have to bide our time with this one because I think it'll be the odd that wins this game.
Bertrand and Bennett have done quite well and we look quite balanced having both in the side. Bacuna has been okay in the middle, if a little sloppy at times. Westwood seems in control.
Albrighton seems our most likely source of creativity again. Holt has worked hard and made a nuissance of himself but has had no service.
Baker and Bennett have done well but of course, as we've seen before, they switch off and do something sloppy. If Fulham get a goal, I suspect it'll be down to us gifting it to them. Hopefully Baker and Bennett stay sharp now for the rest of the game.
As for Fulham, that young Woodrow lad is putting himself about well and looks confident and lively. He's eager to impress. To be honest, it makes me want to see us unleash Robinson. It'd be nice to see one of our untried yoof players get the chance to impress. The more you play in a struggling side the more self doubt can creep into your game. You'd hope someone like Robinson could hit the game with a bit of unbridled enthusiasm and confidence, as the Woodrow lad seems to.
-
I've got to say, for the team we've put out, I didn't think that was too bad a half. We've played worst this year with a full strength side.
Very true but it does highlight how poor we've been this season.
-
In the first 5-10 minutes, Villa looked by far the better side. But as the half went on, Fulham showed how well you can disrupt a gameplan just by being energetic. Villa couldn't deal with the fact they sometimes had less than thirty seconds to pass a football.
-
The quality of our squad today is probably the worst I can remember. We just have no cohesion, no pattern to our play, players playing in god knows what position. We are extremely lucky the lower half of the premier league is so poor this season.
What a tepid, boring existence we now have as a club. I really would like a silver lining I just cannot think of one.
-
No matter what injuries we have got . It will be completely unacceptable to lose at home to a club at the bottom of the table who have the number 73 in the goals against colomn.
-

Certainly does.
-
1 shot on target against the worse defence in the top flight for 6 years.
-
I think this game requires a bit of Tonev. He's not brilliant but he's direct and quick and might inject some thrust into our attack. And who knows, he might hit the target.
Holt seemed to drift out the game after 30 mins, so I wonder if he's running on empty already. I'd be tempted to stick Robinson in there and let him have a go. We're not winning anything in the air against Hangeeland anyway. We need to attack Fulham with pace because their defender is a little slow.
-
Whatever happens, this summer is make or break for Lambert. 3rd season you expect a significant improvement, but with Benteke out till Christmas, you would not rule out a really rough season.
-
What a tepid, boring existence we now have as a club. I really would like a silver lining I just cannot think of one.
Spot on, sadly.
Unless something changes pretty markedly, I suspect this will go on for a few more years, two or three, we'll have the embarrassing scramble to 40 points and eventually we will go down.
-

There is little to look forward to.
-
We need a lot more in the second half.
-
I'd be inclined to send on Robinson and Tonev for the second half, instead of Holt and Weiman.
Just to see something, anything, a bit different and a bit interesting.
-
We are hell of a dull club.
-
Robinson for Weimann I agree with.
Holt is worth another 20 minutes
-
This is awful, we keep giving the ball straight back to them.
-
Fucking penned in by bottom. Fucking shite.
-
They on front foot.
-
Fucking hell we're massively under the pump against Fulham at home.
-
Yep it looks like Fulham are going for it.
-
Dire and unacceptable at the moment.
-
They want and need it more and it shows. We are just a very very poor side. ZZZZZ
-
Nearly very good from Bacuna though.
-
They have just had the luxury of brining on a proven prem player and a 13m striker.
Bacuna close again.
-
We could have done much worse than putting in the likes of Robinson, Jordan Graham etc from the U-21's. This lot clearly feel that the season is over already.
-
goood efort bacuna
-
Weimann unmarked, poor decision by Bacuna.
-
Hit the post
-
Our players aren't very good at controlling the ball, are they?
-
How shit is Weimann now. Never in a game, never on the front foot.
-
Weimann has been awful. Mind you, he's not alone.
-
Fucking shit we should be battering twats like Fulham at home.
-
Perfect example of our lack of movement there, Bacuna under pressure, forced to twist and turn three times and whack it to the keeper as nobody moves towards him to receive the ball.
That drives me nuts.
-

That drives me nuts.
It's amateur.
-
A better final ball needed there
-
Classic clueless Baker there, proof he never learns.
-
I'll tell you what, though. Just when I'm feeling really down about it all and bemoaning just how shit we are, I see Barclays saying 'thanks' for my 'making football', and I feel much better.
I really didn't think anyone had noticed.
-
Stupid fucking challenge Baker
-
Baker is remarkably clumsy.
-
Trying to keep a nervous eye on this and watch the Grand National with bets placed. Headache developing.
-
It quite literally is two touches at the most for us then we give it back.
-
Pub league football. Appalling.
-

;D
-
It quite literally is two touches at the most for us then we give it back.
Fulham up the tempo this half and we now can't get control of the ball again. It doesn't take much to affect our composure.
-
Reminds me of Palace. Fulham late winner.
-
Decent move.
-
Our disciplinary record is atrocious. That said, at least we're top of a league.
-
oh dear
-
No surprise there.
-
What a goal, fucking hell. Fucking garbage from Villa though, big surprise.
-
Shit
-
Been coming.
-
You knew that was coming.
-
Unbelievable
-
better subs by their manager
-
Oh for fuck's sake.
-
If you back off and give people shots around the box that's what happens. Let's see what the tactical genius Lambert has now.
-
Fuck off. Fulham at home.
Shite.
-
Poor, very poor. It's been coming this half. They came out quick, we haven't been able to handle them...Fulham...we can't handle Fulham...
-
We really can't afford to lose this, but I just can't see us getting a goal.
-
Here we go.
What a totally shit team we have and what a shit season this is again.
I din't care about injuries or any of that bollocks. This lot are rock bottom.
-
Honestly, I don't think I could stand another season.
This bloke is fucking clueless, utterly clueless.
On our way to our tenth home defeat in the league this season. Ten.
-
Get Tonev and Robinson on. We need pace.
-
We're crap. I hate saying this every week, but we're fucking rubbish.
-
Cue Tonev sub.
-
Here he comes!
-
Hands up who is surprised
Lambert should be given his cards straight after the match if we lose this.
He stinks out the whole club.
-
Look at Lambert, clueless.
Oh great, Tonev...
-
Week after week it is just rubbish.
-
Joe Bennett is turning into Gordon Bennett.
-
Christ, look at that ball for example.
-
did I hear Fulham never won at VP?
Another record broken If true
-
Don't panic. Tonev's coming on.
Which row will he aim for today?
-
Dire.
-
Heres Shooter coming on - he needs a goal
-
I'm not even surprised, another shit weekend
-
Surely this will be Lambert's Bolton?? It has to be. He's bobbins.
-
Honestly, I don't think I could stand another season.
This bloke is fucking clueless, utterly clueless.
On our way to our tenth home defeat in the league this season. Ten.
And who will they appoint and will we trust them to get it right? And will they back him.
-
Oh ho! Oh ho!
Just hold on to your horse, folks! Nil disperandum!
Because here comes Tonev!
-
Surely this will be Lambert's Bolton?? It has to be. He's bobbins.
Just thinking that myself. Lose this he'll lose most of the support he has left. This is fucking dire, inuries or not.
-
Can't wait for the injuries excuse later.
-
get weimann off now !!!!
-
I've said it before, but we're right in it if we lose this. Who do we actually think we migjt get a result against this season?
-
I'd bloody love it if Tonev scored. I'll break my neck doing cartwheels.
-
The thing is, what was the excuse for the other NINE home league defeats?
And how fucking hopeless are the majority of the players he has bought?
-
I fancy Tonev to bang one in...
-
Another yellow. Awful defending there.
Why didn't we get in a centre back in January?
-
Injuries aren't an excuse, because Benteke's replacement has actually been one of the only ones to play ok.
-
I fancy Tonev to bang one in...
row z?
-
I can't see us picking up another point.
I would not be surprised if we dropped on the last day.
-
No way the board will turn on him for this even if the crowd do. The highs have been too high this season, and for this match the injuries excuse is too plausible. The board will want to see the best in their man, and they will.
-
I struggle to see us getting many more points this season. Luckily, there are three teams who look like they're pretty close to being doomed. Unluckily, we're handing one of them a lifeline here. Fulham definitely look like they've got another goal in them
-
Dejagah is playing well and getting way too much freedom. Will Lambo address this? Probably not.
-
I don't want to hear the crowd if we lose this
-
There seems to be zero urgency about us.
Losing at home to Fulham, FFS, Fulham, rock bottom of the league.
-
Yet again, if we stay up it'll be because of the ineptness of others. One day, our team's ineptness will benefit others.
-
I bet the season tickets will be flying off the shelves this week.
-
Fucking hell Grant Holt!
-
Yes hotly!!!!!!!!
-
Thank fucking God for that.
-
No need to be taking it out on Tonev.
-
Holt !!!!
-
holt thank fuck
-
Thank fuck
-
Thank fuck for that.
-
Grant Fucking Holt ;D
-
Yessssss!!!!
Now go on and win it...
-
Injuries aren't an excuse, because Benteke's replacement has actually been one of the only ones to play ok.
See?
-
Awesome!
-
Lest we forget, Fulham are really bad.
-
Yay!
-
HOLT! Nt sure he knew much about that, but who cares!
-
Holt :o
Thanks Grant.
-
A pint and pie for that man!!! Grant Fucking Holt! Free header. Cheers Fulham.
-
HOLT! Nt sure he knew much about that, but who cares!
It was a quality header in fairness.
-
good goal that
yes crap defending but good header and assist from marc
one of our better players lately
-
Thank Fuck for that
-
I always thought he was a quality striker... Honest.
-
Thank god for that, awful defending but all gifts gratefully received.
-
HOLT! Nt sure he knew much about that, but who cares!
It was a quality header in fairness.
Aye, on second viewing it was well placed.
-
Cracking header. Wonderful the way he found the space too.
Lambert, you are one lucky inept manager.
-
Shocking marking but who cares!
I'd take a point still, though this is winnable obviously
-
Thank god for that, awful defending but all gifts gratefully received.
We're due a gift, having gifted Rooney a free header last week.
-
Call me miserable if you must, but I still reckon we're just about bad enough to find a way to still lose this.
-
I always thought he was a quality striker... Honest.
;)
-
Remember Sheff Utd?
-
Call me miserable if you must, but I still reckon we're just about bad enough to find a way to still lose this.
I think we are easily bad enough to shit this up, regardless of how poor Fulham are.
-
Lowton's dreadful positioning could have cost us there.
-
Cardiff 2-0 down to Palace, at home. They look like goners. OGS looks a bit daft.
-
I backed the winner in the Grand National, so I was certain that Fulham would have scored while I was concentrating on that.
-
Cardiff 2-0 down to Palace, at home. They look like goners. OGS looks a bit daft.
I watched most of Palace - Chelsea the other day and was quite impressed with Palace.
-
It would be a familiar pattern if Fulham scored in the next couple of minutes
-
We are good enough to win, bad enough to lose. Depends what Villa shows up between now and the end of the game.
-
Fuck sake lucky there, well done Lowton
-
loving marc
crap touch by weimann
omg what a clearance
-
jesus christ!
-
Fuck me. What a block.
-
Terrible terrible defending, but how did Lowton clear that.
-
Fucking Hell! Well done Bertrand!
-
as good as a goal ;)
-
Was it Lowton? Commentary saying it was Bertrand.
Either way what a fucking block.
-
Tonev close.
-
how close is that
-
We should not be clinging onto a draw at home to fulham
-
fuck tonez is beckham
-
A monumental millimeter for this club that.
-
Bloody hell I just assumed goal there. Should have scored. We need much better shape defensively.
Bloody hell it was so close to being in wasn't it?!
-
Frenetic stuff.
Ooh Tonev close!!!
-
Great shot Tonev!
Its his day,I can feel it.
-
Cardiff 2-0 down to Palace, at home. They look like goners. OGS looks a bit daft.
I watched most of Palace - Chelsea the other day and was quite impressed with Palace.
Me too, to be honest. He's done really well, Pulis.
Ooooh! Tonev nearly scored!
-
Fucking hell what a game all of sudden.
Lowton, what a block!
And...Tonev!! Bloody hell! Good strike lad.
-
Tonev better on the left, can get curl on it.
-
There's another goal in this game - I'd rather there wasn't
-
It's like watching a primary school match, this! Both teams seem to have completely given up on boring stuff like 'positions', and 'tactics'.
Good for them.
-
That was about a milimetre from being given as a goal. Jesus.
Lowton's played well today have to say. He's worth keeping in the side for the last 6 games. He's looked like his old self today.
-
Epic block by Lowton. Thank god for goal line technology as well.
-
It's like watching a primary school match, this! Both teams seem to have completely given up on boring stuff like 'positions', and 'tactics'.
Good for them.
spot on
-

haha
-
Fucking come on Villa we need to win this.
-
Weimann has to score there
-
poor finish albrighton great game
-
Epic block by Lowton.
Genuinely thought it was Betrand doing that.Think I'm all a bit giddy.
-
I think robinson for weimann
-
Weimann has wasted shedloads of chances this season. If he'd even put half of them away we could be comfortably top half. He's supposed to be a good finisher too, but he's made Heskey look like Messi this season.
-
Westwood got the block in, according to Pat Murphy.
-
Tonev is doing well isn't he?
As results stand we're nine points clear of the drop zone with six games to go. Plus better goal difference. That should be enough surely? Let's not lose it here trying to win it
-
That's a penalty for me. Not that we deserve one
-
Should of had a penalty then
-
Tonev has done ok.
-
i like this ref but chickened there
-
On replay it looked a pen in fairness
Then the other end... Guzan is the man
-
Weimanns sit on the floor, hands up in the air moment of the game. Happens every game pretty much. Ref didn't give it, just shut up and get on with it lad.
-
Our defence is calamitous.
-
whos gonna win this ;( come on
-
Well, at least it's entertaining.
-
Villa defending like they know this is a relegation battle.
-
This will be the 4th home game I've missed in the last 4 years, we won the previous 3 times so 2-1 Villa.
-
Classic Sidwell challenge. Mullered him.
-
Fucking hell it doesn't take much to get in behind baker does it? We're really living dangerously here and I think we need to adjust to stop that happening. Sylla for Weimann for me, 433
-
Fucking ******,fuck off
-
Fucking diabolical, absolutely terrible.
-
We are piss poor.
-
ffs
-
Bollocks
-
1-2
Fuck off Villa. Fuck off fulham fans.
Fuck off shit
-
Bollox. No surprise, again.
-
bloody hell
-
If we lose this Lambert has to go.
-
Bollocks
-
I knew he'd score
-
who gave the fucking ball away before ffs "!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
We are garbage.
-
Fucking hell Villa
That was just so obviously coming
Just so fucking obvious
Fucking fuck fuck fuck
-
Bollocks
-
Bollox
-
Oh for fuck's sake. What the fuck is wrong with these idiots?
-
For FUCK'S sake.
-
Unbelievable!
Need a goal?
Welcome to Villa. Rodellegas first goal for 15 months. In fairness, great ball, great header though.
-
you need that was going to go in , soon as he hit the ball
-
They deserve it too
-
fucking shocking holt
-
For FUCK'S sake.
Criminally inevitable. This is his Bolton moment.
-
They deserve it too
The uncomfortable truth, right there.
-
We are in a relegation scrap make no mistake.
-
Shit by Holt, fucking miles wide
-
That was shit.
-
15 months since Rodegella has scored
-
we are great at helping shit teams stay up
-
Jesus, a chance like that is normally Holts bread and butter.
-
Thank fuck we are on 34.
And on the flip side, bollocks, still on 34.
Were are going to be precious close to the bottom 3.
-
That was a Heskeyish combination of good physicality in the build up and useless footlessness in the box.
-
Right we need Robinson on I think
Fucking villa. I knew we'd lose this game
Idiots
-
This is really fucking beyond belief.
How they expect to sell season tickets for another year of this bollocks is beyond me.
TEN home defeats in the league, 30 points spunked away to the likes of Fulham, West Ham, Stoke, Palace - that is indefensible.
-
Fulham will have done the double over one team this season, then. So, so glad that I decided not to get a ticket.
-
that amazing block worth fuck all now - oh dear Villa why why why
-
I hope this might convince people finally that we need to get rid of this idiot but I doubt it will
-
As usual, no pressure at all on the opposing midfielder, who has all the time in the world to pick his pass. It happens approximately 5,768 times every game, and it's seriously fucking me off.
-
The home crowd has thinned out more than my hair.
-
Lambert's a cancer on Villa. He needs to go.
-
My plan to stay away from media has failed.
You utter ******.
-
Surely, SURELY Lambert has got to go after this. Absolutely diabolical.
-
That was a Heskeyish combination of good physicality in the build up and useless footlessness in the box.
This has just made me laugh, cheers.
A bit too hysterically, mind.
-
If the bumbling mumbling idiot doesn't hand in his resignation papers then that useless wanker Faulkner needs to earn his 6 figure salary and sack him.
-
cant tackle no more
-
Bowery on we are saved.
-
Bowery coming on.
Hahahaha.
Sob.
-
That was a Heskeyish combination of good physicality in the build up and useless footlessness in the box.
This has just made me laugh, cheers.
A bit too hysterically, mind.
I admit the image of Holt trying to finish a chance with no feet is kind of morbidly humorous.
-
oh lambert fuck off bowery in the 91st minute
-
What is the fucking point in a 90th minute sub?
We're LOSING you stupid ******, not trying to waste the remaining time.
-
Ah fuck off Lambert.
Jordan fucking Bowery is on.
What a pile of fucking shit.
-
Bowery will have plenty of time then.
-
Here comes Jordan . .
-
Bowery - The final insult.
-
I can see us losing every game from now on and relying on other teams below us
-
Here comes Bowery!
-
and takes off marc -
-
Bowery for Albrighton. Are you fucking joking.
-
Bowery
-
What a fucking joke this club has become.
-
bring robinson on you muppet not bowery - leave marc and bring weinamm off ffs
-
disgraceful
-
and do it in the 75th min
-
If the bumbling mumbling idiot doesn't hand in his resignation papers then that useless wanker Faulkner needs to earn his 6 figure salary and sack him.
Oh no, you don't understand, there are plenty on the Lambert thread who think we should give him until Christmas and they've got friends who all think we're fine with him in charge!!! Beggars belief I know
-
This game is over
-
What a fucking joke this club has become.
Oh everything is fine, Randy's great. mid table team.
-
I would sack him tonight
We have been outplayed by a team who have been the worst in the league twice this season. Home and a fucking way.
Fucking bollocks to all of it. ****** Lambert needs to take his fucking useless shit as far away as possible.
No more dour Scots please.
-
March 1973 the last time Fulham won at VP. Dire.
-
there wont be no booing they have all gone
-
What a fucking joke this club has become.
There aint that many people on here who think that Paul. I think it's worse than a fucking joke
-
Fulham get there first double of the season, almost laughable
-
Problem is you just fcukin know he's going to hide behind injuries after this.
-
I would sack him tonight
We have been outplayed by a team who have been the worst in the league twice this season. Home and a fucking way.
Fucking bollocks to all of it. c*** Lambert needs to take his fucking useless shit as far away as possible.
No more dour Scots please.
Strachan-type Scots, sure. The lively nutters. The arse-faced dour ones? Nae so much.
-
March 1973 the last time Fulham won at VP. Dire.
lambert loves breaking records
-
We're going to stay up by the skin of our teeth. Simply unacceptable. It's the end for me.
-
FFS HOLT.
-
March 1973 the last time Fulham won at VP. Dire.
Once in my lifetime - before to today
-
Booooooo
-
Crock of shit.
Palace are going to fuck us over....fucking Palace
-
Hapless. We're actually hapless.
It's comically inept!
-
The thing is we're obviously going down in the next few years so what difference does it really make if it's this year?
-
Just fucking horrible. Fucking horrible
-
well thats a shocker
sorry
this cant go on !!!
-
Lose at Palace next week, which is almost certain and they will go above us. Never ever thought I would envy a club with Pulis as their highly effective manager.
-
I only hope all those defending him over on the Lambert thread will maybe have seen the light at last. This has been obvious for ages. As Jon Crofts says, he is a disease on our club
-
We're going to stay up by the skin of our teeth. Simply unacceptable. It's the end for me.
I wouldn't be so confident. I think we will get no more points.
useless gobshites control our team and our club.
-
The thing is we're obviously going down in the next few years so what difference does it really make if it's this year?
Yup.
-
entertaining for the neutrel but rubbish at the same time
10 home defeats
awful just awful
could easily be 3-1
-
The thing is we're obviously going down in the next few years so what difference does it really make if it's this year?
Yup.
Yes. We are.
-
Randy needs to take action in the summer. We need a new boss, we need to give him a decent amount to bring in 5-6 good players, and we need to get away from scrapping with the bottom feeders. This isn't good enough. I don't see us getting 40 points. For me that represents abject failure on Lamberts part. That has to mean he gets fired.
-
going for a JD - to chill my high blood pressure
see you later dont know other scores so MOTD for me later when Im hammered
-

Randy has had three summers to sort us out. Why should this be any different.
