Do you get to buy the beers if I e-mail in and say how crap your articles are?

If any of you know any editors looking to hire a deeply cynical yet prolific writer, point my articles in their direction. Particularly as i'm about to be made redundant from my actual job.

I always have the urge to come and say "Hey I'm Chipsticks" but I never do for fear of looking pathetic.

Nope. The no entry sign is still the best I have. He won't even buy me a hat!

You need one of those umberella hats that Brian Potter wore in Phoenix Nights.

A few do buy them. Many many many more ask if it is the programme. I stand next to a big kiosk that states "Official match day programme" and the twats still ask me.

I bought the Stoke one last season, it was a bit crap. Although the fact they bring one out for every home game is going to affect the quality.

A lot of clubs don't do them any more. A few away fans who have bought H&V have said they miss their own fanzines.

Listening to all the fuss yesterday about Hull City Tigers, the fans and owner I was thinking how history versus money was probably the one debate most likely to cause heated arguments between a club's fans. So it was interesting and also slightly spooky to sit down to read H&V last night and see  Stuart Griffin's very good piece, 'What Price Success'.

The forgotten story of ... the France football captain who murdered for Hitler
Alex Villaplane said captaining France was 'the happiest day of his life'. Fourteen years later he was shot dead for being a traitor.
