Buy it. Preferably from me if I'm allowed to attend on Saturday.
-
Buy it from me instead. Pretty please!
-
Send in emails saying how much you enjoy my musings and that I ought to get a minimum ten pint Chrimbo bonus.

Do you get to buy the beers if I e-mail in and say how crap your articles are?
-
If any of you know any editors looking to hire a deeply cynical yet prolific writer, point my articles in their direction. Particularly as i'm about to be made redundant from my actual job.
-
I will buy you a beer Saturday. Only if we win mind.

Good because I am actually, for once, going to this game.
-
Get out of it.
-
I am, I've got a ticket and everything.
I'm going to buy a half-and-half Villa/Sunderland scarf and take pictures of the North Stand.
-
I will get mine from Mr. W as always, part my lucky pre-match routine.

Considering our home form, might be better if you cross the road and buy from me instead!
-
Fuck that, buy it from me in The Bartons post game. You can also buy beer and nice food at the same time.
-

I think that my purchasing rota system means that I will be buying from you this week
-
It does indeed Mr Sox.
-
I am available to buy if any of the sellers care to put a bid in? No reasonable offer refused.
-
The new edition is now available online.

Indeed it is, and an excellent read too!

Outside the Church now. Come and say hello!

Outside the Church now. Come and say hello!
I always have the urge to come and say "Hey I'm Chipsticks" but I never do for fear of looking pathetic.
-
You are a bit early, Legion.

You could always wear a pink carnation and blue suede shoes if you are a bit shy ;)
-
I'm assuming I will be opposite Dave, by the North Stand gates on Witton Lane. Buy from me pretty please.

Nope. The no entry sign is still the best I have. He won't even buy me a hat!
-
May I ask if many away fans buy the fanzine or it is just the odd one or two?

You need one of those umberella hats that Brian Potter wore in Phoenix Nights.
-
A few do buy them. Many many many more ask if it is the programme. I stand next to a big kiosk that states "Official match day programme" and the twats still ask me.

Cheers pws, I have bought the odd fanzine at away games down the years .
-
I bought the Stoke one last season, it was a bit crap. Although the fact they bring one out for every home game is going to affect the quality.
A lot of clubs don't do them any more. A few away fans who have bought H&V have said they miss their own fanzines.

*Makes note to ask whether it is the programme*....

There have been a few villa ones down the years but only one real deal !

Outside the Church now. Come and say hello!
There is a weeping tree in the park down Trinity way!

Shush , don't mention the tree ;)

Yep, finally!

Yay! I'll buy a copy then.
-
I'll have to buy a few. I'll give them as Christmas presents!
As you are down by the church i'll give you the 50p winnings next time you are on Trinity. Unless you get to Dave while i'm still there.
-
I have no idea what time I will be there as my football tournament does not finish until 12.
-
Yay! I'll buy a copy then.
Looks like this'll be my first programme purchase for over a decade
-
Trinity Road gates now. I'll just read your copy.
-
For those in the Legion fan club he is back to selling on Trinity Road.
-
I like the AV footballers in Fives but am I right in thinking that Alexandre Villapane was the captain of France at the 1930 World Cup but was later shot as a Nazi collaborator?
-
That's two issues in a row that I've failed to have a "Five". I must have done do thing to annoy Mr W.
-

Good to see you in the programme yesterday PWS.
-
I quite like the WM rant!
-
Mr Shin is now in full celebrity mode. He's even got a hat sponsorship deal with the stall opposite the car park gates !!

I have to wear sunglasses when I go out now otherwise I get papped.

Listening to all the fuss yesterday about Hull City Tigers, the fans and owner I was thinking how history versus money was probably the one debate most likely to cause heated arguments between a club's fans. So it was interesting and also slightly spooky to sit down to read H&V last night and see Stuart Griffin's very good piece, 'What Price Success'.

The forgotten story of ... the France football captain who murdered for Hitler
Alex Villaplane said captaining France was 'the happiest day of his life'. Fourteen years later he was shot dead for being a traitor.

Didn't Houllier want a similar thing done to Ginola?
-
I bought mine from a chap called Steve outside the Holte, I asked if he was on the site and he said no so that's prove that they do exist!! Good read but could have done with more to last through the full 90 haha!

Thanks - I remember reading about that somewhere - The Story of Football by Martin Tyler I think - but I couldn't dig the book out to check.
