Guzan,Bacuna, Vlaar, Clark KEA, Westwood, Weimann, Luna, Delph, Gabby, Kozak
-
Subs: Steer, Baker, Herd, Bennett, Bowery, Tonev, Sylla
-
Come on you Villa boys. Westwood needs to step up today.
-
Hull - McGregor, Rosenior, Figueroa, Faye, Davies, Huddlestone, Livermore, Elmohamady, Quinn, Aluko, Graham
-
Now Lowton at all?
-
Come on you Villa boys. Westwood needs to step up today.
A pass forward wouldn't go a miss today.
-
sub bench dont look too good . No Lowton
-
I like that he's not just blindly sticking with a tactic which worked and changing it to suit the game we're playing - Baker does not deserve to be dropped, but the tactically correct move is to return to 4-3-3 and therefore Baker has to make do. I like it.
Also, that midfield should be looking to dominate possession, or at least to try and prevent Thuddlestone from doing so.

The slowest midfielder playing football right now
-
Good to see Gab back. Shame Sylla's been dropped, feel we look better with him in the team. UTV
-
albrighton must be inured again and Helenius
-
Dont mind the 11 . I think Sylla could have played but lets hope the 11 do the damage .
-
Come on Villa three points please.

Fuck me. Are you post something positive this morning? You'd think we were sitting in the bottom three on the back of consecutive batterings, not wins.
-
No Lowton and no Helenius either. And that is the midfield which looked unbalanced against Newcastle.
-
Got to think Helenius and Lowton have knocks? Or something has happened with Lowton and he is not a happy boy at the minute.
-
You'll all be pleased to know I shall be in the garden for this with my headphones on - mowing the lawn today. Our winning whilst I am gardening record is very good this season and the end of last
-
Fancy a win still ;)
-
No Lowton and no Helenius either. And that is the midfield which looked unbalanced against Newcastle.
Not so much unbalanced as crap - and they must have had strains in their necks from seeing the ball fly over their heads in the vague direction of Forwards.
-

We mow again...
I'm going to a wedding reception hog roast for a couple who got married in the Caribbean. No football fans will be there. Anxious checks of the mobile internet will be my main activity until 5.
-

It might also simply be the case of they didn't get into this 18.
-
I prefer when Sylla is in the team...things aren't looking great re Lowton are they?
-
Come on Villa, we should have enough to win today.
-
We're making this harder than it should be. Westwood and KEA shouldn't be in the same midfield.
-
Tactics are right for us, the tactics last week were down to circumstance we won't normally play like that.
-
Harsh on Sylla. Good decision to revert to 2 CBs.
-
Westwood needs to perform today to reward Lambert's faith.
-
A win today we go above Everton.
-

are you the neighbour who drives his sit on mower all afternoon, on nice weekends? If you are, I shake my fist at you (behind my pc) and do little else

I've missed many a wedding speech huddled around the car radio listening to the Villa score on the pretence of being in the bog back in the days when mobiles weren't an option!
-

Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out being a 4231, with Westwood and KEA anchoring and Gabby, Delph, Weimann slightly advanced. I think if we put Delph (pace and tenacity) directly against Huddlestone (their playmaker, but painfully slow) then we could stop them from playing.
-
We're making this harder than it should be. Westwood and KEA shouldn't be in the same midfield.
That's what I thought, but then KEA played further forward against City in That Second Half and did very well, so maybe that will be a good solution for now until we get a properly creative number 10 type.
Edit: Dants, I agree but like I say, I think it'd be KEA forward rather than Delph.

He certainly showed signs of having this ability in pre-season.

Certainly wouldn't play kea and Westwood together at home but not so bad away .
-
Happy with that team selection, bench is very weak though.
Anyone here watching Aussie TV? What's the name of this negative pr*ck of a co-commentator?
-
Looks like WM for me - all streams I've found are plastered with pop-ups and ads
-
We are playing Hull right? Given some of the posts I was thinking it was Man City away or something.
I realise they've started reasonably well this season but have a little bit of confidence lads. Our midfield will be fine and with Gabby back they can't push up as much as they might like.
-
Looks like WM for me - all streams I've found are plastered with pop-ups and ads
Or not - WM doing Colchester Wolves. Any commentary anywhere?
-
Good to see Delph pushing forward.
-
Good cross wieman should have done better
-
Another clean sheet today I reckon.
-
Started well, need to keep going.
-
Good in Luna
-
We look eager to keep the ball in our own half.
-
Hull have obviously been told to let us have the ball here. We are having all the possession at present.
-
Front 3 should start showing and moving for the ball when it's in midfield....
-
This is good in terms of possession.
-
We're playing pinball across the halfway line.
-
How can 4,000 supporters always make more noise away than 35,000-40,000 at home.
-
This is interesting Hull are playing very deep and it's up to us to make the play.
-
Nice from Westwood and KEA there.
-
good move
-
This is interesting Hull are playing very deep and it's up to us to make the play.
Bruce has done his homework - knows if they play higher up we'll hit them on the break
-
Hull know how difficult we find it to break teams down when we're on the front foot.
-
It's all a bit sideways. Fortunately they're playing like we do at home.
-
Fantastic cover by Bacuna.
-
We're playing some nice if ineffective stuff so far.
Well in Bacuna.
-
well done bacuna
-
bacuna defends better than lowton
-
Luna getting up again.
-
only just off
-
Looking good so far, Luna close to being clean through there.
-
I've noticed we're defending corners much better because we're attacking the ball.
-
Liverpool 2 up already. Repeat of that 9-0 against Palace?
-
Liverpool look really dangerous with Suarez and Sturridge both on form
-
Graham hasnt scored for 24 hours see why ;)
-
We really need to stop crosses from the left.
-
Really poor lay off Andi
-
come on weimann , that was poor
-
chance there
-
Oooooh unlucky Gabs
-
Good try Gabby
-
Lovely play.
-
Oooh, well played Gabby
-
corner Villa come on
-
not another injury please no
he will get up
-
all Villa
-
Graham hasnt scored for 24 hours see why ;)
You know what that means though....
-
Come on Villa!
-
come on villa get the shooting boots on
-
C'mon lads compose yourself instead of snapping at it
-
Need to show composure but playing well.
-
got to win this - we are creating everything
-
Steve Bruce looks ill
-
yes composure is the word
-
Completely dominating the Spurs midfield with 3v2 but our forwards have been poor so far, Weimann particularly.
-
A bit more urgency please, Villa. Make them work.
-
It's going to be the story of the rest of the season but we really do miss a little bit of guile and craft in midfield
-
Completely dominating the Spurs midfield with 3v2 but our forwards have been poor so far, Weimann particularly.
Spurs!? Oooooooh I get you
-
good move

-
Aaaaahhhhh poor guys, poor. If I was Gab I would of just kept going....Luna stay on son
-
Our away support is magnificent. They haven't let up for a second.
-

Yea cheers mate, I was on about the Fro.
-
need a free kick outside the box
bloody foul throw again
-
ffs newcastle scored after the last foul throw
-
Another fucking foul throw - that's the third this season
-
We've just got a bit sloppy.
-
Poor Westwood.
-
we have been shit since the foul throw ;)
-
free kick Villa
-
westwood what you doing
-
oH NO!
-
Phew, I thought that was a tomato coloured one
-
Westwood is lucky there.
-
Fuck off HUddlestone. Clucthicng his face FFS. Embarrassing.
-
could have been red that
-
oh fuck off Huddlestone. A thug, masquerading as a footballer. Westwood, silly though. Come on Villa!
-
That could have been red it was idiotic.
-
I'd bring sylla on for Westwood now .
-
Good play from Gabby. Not sure he is fully fit but our only threat up there. Not having Nzogbia available never mind Benteke is a real loss today.
Kea has won back possession a lot today. Doing well
-
Westwood needs to calm down
-
kojakkk what you doing too ;(
-
Libor that was poor.
-
Hit it first time with your left man
-
i'd take westwood off. loose cannon.
-
Westwood's getting on my nerves.
-
Kozak has to hit that 1st time
-
I don't see how? The first he has not tackled, just stood there and the guy flew over him.
The second is a booking for the drag back, but Huddlestone should be fucking ashamed for the over the top face holding shit. ******.
-
hit it first time Kozak-not good enough. 7 million. oh dear
-
gabby the only threat
-
Westwood's not exactly justifying his selection today.
-
I would take Westy off at half time, I don't trust his tackling, its so bad
-
when was the last time we had so much possession?
-
work hard but no quality at mo
-
I'd change to a 4-4-2. Bring off Westy and play Weimann and Kojak up top.
-
I don't see how? The first he has not tackled, just stood there and the guy flew over him.
The second is a booking for the drag back, but Huddlestone should be fucking ashamed for the over the top face holding shit. c***.
Huddlestone is a an absolute wanker. Can't believe he was suggested as a possible signing for us. Awful. Jason Lee on steroids
-
I'd change to a 4-4-2. Bring off Westy and play Weimann and Kojak up top.
No way, 4-4-2 is not the way to go.
-
I'd like to see Bacuna use his pace and get down that line. He's keeping possession but we need to open it up by taking a chance
-
Kozak's shooting is a bit shit.
-
I'd change to a 4-4-2. Bring off Westy and play Weimann and Kojak up top.
No way, 4-4-2 is not the way to go.
Agreed. If anything, Westwood should be replaced by someone like Tonev.
-
Also, why Helenius has not been given the nod? He is trickier than Kozak...I don't really understand why we bough Kozak. I hope he proves me wrong.
-
Too many of our players play the over safe ball and don't take enough risks going forward
-
Andi that is not good enough.
-
Also, why Helenius has not been given the nod? He is trickier than Kozak...I don't really understand why we bough Kozak. I hope he proves me wrong.
He's ill.
-
Weimann just isn't a winger anymore. Play him up top or not at all.
-
Poor cross Weimann.
-
If he goes off, it should be for Sylla and push Delph up.
-
Tonev for Kozak at the break? Weimann has been pathetic thus far, bringing on Tonev might give him a chance to play up the middle though
-
Weimann has been awful. Needs resting.
-
I'd change to a 4-4-2. Bring off Westy and play Weimann and Kojak up top.
No way, 4-4-2 is not the way to go.
Why not?
-
Maybe Herd RB and push Bacuna up further
-
A Villa with Benteke would be in the lead by now. I'm concerned that, should Hull go in front, we'll find it impossible to break them down.
-
Do you think Lambert just youtube'd a lot of the players because they all looked bloody good on the net.
-
8 0 attempts Villa
-
A few things I don't get with Kozak, one is he doesn't ever appear to win a header
-
A Villa with Benteke would be in the lead by now. I'm concerned that, should Hull go in front, we'll find it impossible to break them down.
he would have put Kojaks chance away
-
Davies...yellow card!
-
Westy off for Tonev....
Guzman
Bacuna Vlaar Clark Moon
Tonev Delphi KEA Gabby
Weimann Kozak
-
Davies is very slow isn't he, good that he's on a yellow card now. Free kick to Villa.
-
Weimann is better up top, but is more likely to score than Tonev
-
Rubbish Westy...I fail to see what he adds.
-
Who is the co-commentator on the fictional site I might be watching on? He hates the Villa by the sound of him. And loves Huddlestone!
-
Also, why Helenius has not been given the nod? He is trickier than Kozak...I don't really understand why we bough Kozak. I hope he proves me wrong.
He's ill.
Ah, ok. But in recent games also? Don't change a winning team and all that. Fair enough
-
I dont think weimann has had a good season , hes got to click soon
-
I'd like to see Bacuna taking the set pieces, not Westwood.
-
First chance for Hull, Hudds smacks it straight at Guzan
-
I'd like to see Bacuna taking the set pieces, not Westwood.
I am flabbergasted to why he is not.
-
I dont think weimann has had a good season , hes got to click soon
I think he thrives on the slide ball pass....unfortunately we don't seem to have a player behind him who does it.
-
Who is the co-commentator on the fictional site I might be watching on? He hates the Villa by the sound of him. And loves Huddlestone!
Is it a fictional Arab station? If so I can imagine your irritation.
-

are you on the site with 'Extra Time' written in the top right hand corner? Yes, an absolute love fest for Huddlestone..I'm wondering who he is too
-
Too flat up front.
-
well we are in control but no guile again
we need that No 10
not enough cutting edge and quality
-
Pretty tame stuff.
-
We played ok, but we badly need to create more clear cut opportunities. Kozak needs to do more.
-
Who is the co-commentator on the fictional site I might be watching on? He hates the Villa by the sound of him. And loves Huddlestone!
Think you probably mean Gary Birtles. He has been very complimentary about Villa in the past, so he's not anti-Villa
-
Need to take this game to them.
-
Defending has been very good.
-
well we are in control but no guile again
we need that No 10
not enough cutting edge and quality
That's it in a nutshell. Still it could be a lot lot worse, so cannot complain too much.
-
Westy off for Tonev....
Guzman
Bacuna Vlaar Clark Moon
Tonev Delphi KEA Gabby
Weimann Kozak
at least there will be plenty of shooting
he has to get one right soon
-
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Hmmmmm, might start on the cidres now
-
Need to create a lot more, Westwood needs to do better.
-

Birtles
-
We could probably go 3 at the back at push the full backs into midfield if Hull stick to their game plan by playing deep and creating zilch
-

it is gary birtles. found it ironic about him talking about the england team, given the majority of the worldwide audience probably take joy in our shitness.
-

Same here.
-
My take on it:
Bacuna needs to push on down the line. Has he made a forward pass yet?
Weimann needs to sort his head out this season, his cigar is out. Little movement and zero threat.
Balls up to Kozak need to be better and Kozak needs to win a header and hold it up better.
Better interchange between Delph, El Ahmadi, Agbonlahor and Wiemann
-
Not to bad so far. Gabby's causing problems. Andy and Kojak are very quiet today. Perhaps an ideal game to bring Tonev into? He's got the ability to just run at people and get a shot away. Wiemann in all honesty looks lost playing on the wing. He's a filler there. He doesn't have the technique or dribbling ability to be effective enough.
Westwood needs to come off I think. We just need to up the pace in midfield a bit. He's done okay today, but just looks intent on getting himself sent off. I'd bring on Sylla to provide some energy.
Other than Sylla and Tonev there's not really anyone on the bench who can change the game.
As for Kozak again. If he's just waiting for service then his Villa career will only end one way. Just ask Darren Bent. He's got to put himself about a bit more. Davies has had it easy so far.
-
ahh Birtles
-
hull are letting us have the ball, because they know we'll do nothing with it.
not much inspiration on the bench today either.
westwood needs to be taken off, because he is a shoe-in for red card.
-
Bit of a snooze fest so far.
-
We won't play too many worse sides than Hull this season. They have looked really average. Longer the half went on the more we were dragged down to their level. Proactive substitutions wouldn't be Lamberts strength but he needs to change it up top badly. We get the first goal here and we will win comfortably
-
Need to create a lot more, Westwood needs to do better.
I'd take him off I think. He hasn't been all that good and might be a bit lucky to be on the pitch.
-
I was just about to say get Weimann off and bring Albrighton on, but for some reason he's not on the bench. Weimann has been woeful again. Best not comment on Kozak yet.
Toothless.
If nothing else our possession stats will improve, it's just a shame we can't do anything productive with it (at the moment)
-
hull are letting us have the ball, because they know we'll do nothing with it.
not much inspiration on the bench today either.
westwood needs to be taken off, because he is a shoe-in for red card.
I'd be tempted to go 4-4-1-1/ 4-2-3-1. Put Wiemann in behind Kozak again. I think long term Wiemann is a mediocre right winger. He filled in reasonably well last season but long term the lad has to be playing through the middle.
I'd then bring Tonev on for Westwood and play him on the right.
-
We need Westwood off he's a liability.
-
Bring your mother fucking "A" game Villa in the second half. We all know how shoddy you can be after 45.
-
Id like to see Sylla on and push Bacuna further maybe. Weimann and Kojak have been poor , we know PL wont change at HT thou
-
We certainly need to create a lot more chances, fucking come on Villa.
-
Might as well thrown Tonev on for Weimann as his tracking back hasn't really been needed so far. Hopefully Tonev will have a bit more guile about him and more adept at taking people on.
-
oh and Hull will go down
-
A text from a fan on the BBC site about somes us up for me.
"Villa don't really know what to do with the ball, far more used to having 30-40% possession rather than up to 70%."
-
The question is, was that our good half or our shit half?
-
59% possession
-
We should win this, lot of possession 1st half, looked tidy at times but lack creativity - hull look a poor side - there to be beaten 0-2 I reckon.
-
hull are letting us have the ball, because they know we'll do nothing with it.
not much inspiration on the bench today either.
westwood needs to be taken off, because he is a shoe-in for red card.

I'd then bring Tonev on for Westwood and play him on the right.
I like your plan. Changes things but still means we have a two subs left to change things later in the half.
-
One thing I will say about Weimann , he looked effective last season when linking with Lowton. Now, Lowton doesn't deserve to be in above Bacuna, however we need to see Bacuna taking a bit more of a chance, unless this is an instruction from PL
-
I'd then bring Tonev on for Westwood and play him on the right.
Yep, agree with that. Tonev's a wildcard but this game's crying out for one.
-
59% possession
According to NBC yea, but you know its going to be different on every stat site....a load of crap stats for me.
-
Why do I ruin my stream by flicking onto skybet to see the live scores!
-
Risky with Westy staying on...I hope he scores although he never seems to go over the half way line.
-
hull look like Bradford on this stream ;(
-
Looks like they're taking the game to us a bit more now. We may be able to exploit them on the counter attack.
-
The Lion King has some canned heat in his heals
-
Hull are better so far this half.
-
bloody poor then andi
-
2nd half hasn't even started on my stream!
-
Geeeez Andi, stop lapping up the winner last weekend, its over...start playing son
-
If Hull step it up , we will win .
If they let us be the home team , we wont .
-
Kozak looks a pretty crap player to me.
-
Any sort of win will put us 5th. So fucking win!
-
What a waste.
-
thats a chance there
-
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH.....fuck! That should of been it.....well done Lion King
-
Great chance for Gabby. Bacuna and Weimann got together for the first time and took them apart.
Should be 1-0.
Grrr
-
Gabby you have to hit the target there.
-
Close from Gabby.
-
poor miss
-
get bacuna up the pitch now
-
Close. Great play from Bacuna who looks a definite upgrade on Lowton to me.
-
great play there by bacuna and weimann.
-
Gabby has a goal in him today. I can feel it in me bones
-
Kozak looks a pretty crap player to me.
He looks a yard too slow to be really effective in the prem, but I don't think the long ball is his strength to be honest.
3-5-2 might actually work for us here you know.
-
Missed that as my stream went, but I've mentioned 4 times on this stream about the positives of Bacuna being more adventurous
-
Kozak looks to me like he needs a really good winger to supply him.
-
kojaks touch was shite there
-
Kozak's touch sucks.
-
Come on Kozak fucking hell.
-
kozak makes Crouch look like Van persie
-
Kozak looks a pretty crap player to me.
He looks a yard too slow to be really effective in the prem, but I don't think the long ball is his strength to be honest.
3-5-2 might actually work for us here you know.
I just don't see any quality from him at all for a premiership footballer. Lazio are probably laughing at us right now.
-
We need to get a grip. We've seen it too many times before with this Villa team, our complacency will be our undoing.
-
this kozak looks a right donkey.
and surely a cynical foul on KEA in that break which warranted a booking?
-
kojaks touch was shite there
So was Gabby's before that.
Gabby and Andi up top, 3-5-2, Sylla and Baker for Kojak and Westwood at the minute for me.
-
We never seem to stop crosses from the Left.
-
kojak off , tonez on and put weimann up front
-
kozak makes Crouch look like Van persie
Haha I was thinking that myself mate
-
we hit on the break fast thou
-
Absolutely brutal counterattack there. Not good enough from Kozak, but Benteke had those sorts of moments early on as well.
-
Huddlestone is driving me mad. a dirty dirty dirty niggly-fouling fucker!
-
Kozak looks a pretty crap player to me.

A bit like how people were laughing at Benteke after a few games and some on here scathing towards him after Spurs away? Yes, let's write him off.
-
Movement Villa come on.

Westwood anonymous.
-
How can someone be that big and not win a header?
-
This is not good now.
-
Kozak looks a pretty crap player to me.
He looks a yard too slow to be really effective in the prem, but I don't think the long ball is his strength to be honest.
3-5-2 might actually work for us here you know.
I just don't see any quality from him at all for a premiership footballer. Lazio are probably laughing at us right now.
A bit like how people were laughing at Benteke after a few games and some on here scathing towards him after Spurs away? Yes, let's write him off.
Not me, could tell straight away he was comfortable with the ball, strong and quick. Kind of the opposite to what I'm seeing in Kozak.
-
Got to change something here to try and win the game.
-
Credit where credit's due. Good defensive header Kozak

Don't you think though that it could simply be that he is new here, needs some time to adjust to us and the PL and for the team to figure out the very best way to service him?
-
Hull are really coming into this game now, come on Villa!
-
Need a change we're dipping badly now.
-
Come on Villa, hit them on the break and win this.
-
come on villa not back and hoof
-
Don't think Gabby will last 90 mins
-
We look sloppy now.
-
Bowery to score the winner?
-
no booking again for hudlestone
-
Poor game this.
-
Bit of a scrappy non event of a game now - but the sort we need to hang on in and win.
-
We look a bit lost at the moment. Not seen Westwood in 15 minutes.
-
Hull bringing on a couple of attackers. Why Grealish is on loan, Carruthers also? Surely better than Herd? Even Bowery who I have down for the winning goal:)
-
This is poor now, we've lost any grip we had.
-
Don't you think though that it could simply be that he is new here, needs some time to adjust to us and the PL and for the team to figure out the very best way to service him?
He's not going to get any quicker though.
-
narrow
aint we always

Yea I have no doubt that isn't part of it, but I don't see any technical quality so far and that has nothing to do with time and adjustment...you either have it or not. He hasn't won a header, he's not quick, he isn't holding the ball up, things no one here can say he is doing....so my opinion is he doesnt look good enough.
-
Clark playing well.
-
We look utterly clueless going forward.
-
Not careful we will lose the most comfortable game we will play all season away here.
Benteke fit we are 3 up.
-
Clark has been excellent today-classy and solid
-
we've been woeful in the final third.
-
Westwood and Weimann both pretty poor again today.
-
better boys
-
We only look a threat when Bacuna gets forward.
Herd for Kojak and push Bacuna into the front 3?
-
double substitution for hull.
-
Pathetic lack of ambition on the field and the sideline I'm afraid.
-
Hull making subs, maybe we should be doing the same, 25m left.
-
Much much better Villa
-
How on earth is that not a freekick.....mad ref!
-
thats a foul ffs
-
Fucking hell ref!
-
How is that not a foul on Delph?
-
That's a free kick. Fucking blind
-
ref nearly punished us there
wig arse wanker
-
Pathetic lack of ambition on the field and the sideline I'm afraid.
Sadly, this.
-
Naff-all attacking options on the bench.
-
Fucking hell that was a chance for them.
-
I hate Clattenburgs haircut
-
Hull are doing what new teams do. Watch and contain an than have a go in the last 20 minutes if they are still in the game. They are so double subs.
-
We look like we'll be happy with a point when we really could get all three.
-
We only look a threat when Bacuna gets forward.
Herd for Kojak and push Bacuna into the front 3?
Barring a free kick I've not seen a thing from Bacuna to think he is good up top.
-
kozak and curtis davis both bleeding from a clash of heads.
-
Bowery and Tonev then...
Fuck we need to spend some cash on forwards.
-
Pathetic lack of ambition on the field and the sideline I'm afraid.
Sadly, this.
Hope you are not falling asleep watching this mate?
-
tonev and bowery coming on.
-
Tonev and Bowery to come on.
-
Today is showing that Lambert made a mistake in signing Kozak, or at least in signing Kozak in place of the mythical number 10. Benteke or no Benteke, we'd be more likely to win this game with a number 10 than with Kozak, I'm afraid to say. And I actually like Libor.
-
Tonev & Bowery coming on
-
We're crying out for width.
Tonev on, Westwood off.
-
he did create the one big chance for gabby
who should have scored
-
kozak and curtis davis both bleeding from a clash of heads.
That's about £18m of our money bleeding there!
-
Theres going to be a good few minutes injury time
-

I think he bought Kozak for long term not expecting Benteke to be out. He's thrown in him before he's ready. I think coming in once in a while for Benteke was the plan.
-
Bowery and Tonev then...
Fuck we need to spend some cash on forwards.
We've just blown seven million on one.
-
Doesn't say much for our strike force if Curtis 'Beckenbauer' Davies can keep a clean sheet against us
-
kozak and curtis davis both bleeding from a clash of heads.

thats ruined my day
-
westwood and gabby off.
-
Bowery and Prez.
-
Westwood and Gabby. 0-0 it is then.
-

a £7 million player , not ready ?
-
Bowery it's time to show you can do something.
-
Westwood & gabby off. There goes our only potential goal threat
-
Come on TONEV Boy....give us a ripper sunshine!
-
Pathetic lack of ambition on the field and the sideline I'm afraid.
Sadly, this.
Hope you are not falling asleep watching this mate?
Hello mate!
How are things? Very well, hopefully!
I have just moved to Tokyo this last week. All is well, look forward to seeing you if you're out this way. I still believe Bowery will grab the winner!
Not falling asleep just yet..haha. But I was hoping we would kick on after the City game....still time..
-
Thought gabby was our best hope of a goal, maybe not fully fit yet, time for Bowery to get his 1st.
-
We needed backup for Benteke and Kozak is that. We now need 2 wide players, Tom Ince style, to challenge Weiman and Gabby. We need those options.
-
I hate Clattenburgs haircut
Looks like Chamakh.
-

Why not? The price doesn't dictate whether a player should be ready or not. Spurs spent £30m on a forward this summer who doesn't start every game. I'm sure they hope long term Lamela will be worth every penny.
-
Be hard for motd to make the highlights last more than 2 minutes from this game.
-
I'm not going to join in the moaning just yet to be honest. We've missed a few chances today for sure but we've created a lot more than Hull and 0-0 at this stage in the game is not worth complaining about too much in my opinion. I'm hopeful the changes we've made and the usual will to win could turn this in our favour rather than constantly complaining.
-

Christ Chamakh's is bad...patchy as
-

I agree. More than the central forward, we need players to genuine challenge those two who can become quite ordinary when they are marked well. Benteke is different class and creates a lot of space for them to be more effective.
-
good play by delph. such a positive player.
-
Well done Delph! Villa corner
-
I'll take 1-0 off the goalies arse to be honest. That's not just this game. That's every game.
-

Toronto is positive energy in its purest form today.

I think the money should have been spent in another area
we cant afford to be Spurs
-
Clark heads over.
-
1628:
Robbie Savage, BBC Final Score Hull 0-0 Aston Villa
"I think Aston Villa will be fine this season. I tipped them to go down last year but I think they are better this time around."
Phew. That's ok then
-
Fuck me I would rather meet up with Victor Meldew Axel
-
Whats Weimann doing there!!!!???
-

Whatever we do with the forwards wide and central, we need that creative player who can dictate the tempo, find space for himself and others, play the final pass and be a goal threat. We're conspicuously lacking that player today.
-
Weimann has been fucking dreadful.
-

I just can't be arsed to join in the player write off orgy after just a few games.
-
just thought
we might get a clean sheet ;)
-
Another clean sheet would be the big bonus from today. There, that's put the mockers on it nicely.
-
Fuck me release it or hold on Tonev, don't let them brush you like that!
-

Ahh one of our forwards has scored

I guess it's not too late just after midnight. Next time Tokyo is in March. Anyway whatever happens in the last ten minutes there is always Roppongi!
-

For sure and the fact that we looked at that Japanese lad in Germany suggests the manager might feel the same way. Maybe we just didn't find the specific player we wanted this summer.
-

Totally agree

haha. That is exactly what i was thinking. And that's where I am going.
-
guess who has scored for Fulham?
-
Can't see us scoring now. Very frustrating.
-
Bent has bagged for Fulham
-
I just can't be arsed to join in the player write off orgy after just a few games.
The early signs haven't been particularly encouraging though, I'm sure you'd concede. I'm struggling to figure out exactly what his forte is, or will be, to be honest.
-
Had Suarez, Aguero, Bent and Delph to score in an accumulator...come on Fabian, make it a great day.....
-
Fuck me I would rather meet up with Victor Meldew Axel
I don't believe it you said that!
-
Another Villa corner
-
come on villa, knock one in.
-
Had Suarez, Aguero, Bent and Delph to score in an accumulator...come on Fabian, make it a great day.....
What odds?
-
Come on Bowery...nod it in....Great away support again. Can anyone actually take a corner?
-
Ah a late winner would be lovely. Not going going to happen with balls in like that though Bacuna!
-
lets nick late winner
-
2350 away supporters today, well done lads and lasses.
-
It wasnt you it was Bronte
-
Had Suarez, Aguero, Bent and Delph to score in an accumulator...come on Fabian, make it a great day.....
What odds?
Had it on a lucky 15....fecking loads if my one long shot comes in...unlikely though.
-
I'd imagine Gary Birtles is possibly the most irritating co-commentator 'ever'.
-
I hate last few minutes at 0-0
-

he might be alright if we played with width
-
In all honesty, despite loving Villa like everyone else, does anyone actually enjoy watching us? The football just isn't good enough. We have not tested the goalkeeper second half-that is poor.
-
It wasnt you it was Bronte
I can believe that.
-
In all honesty, despite loving Villa like everyone else, does anyone actually enjoy watching us? The football just isn't good enough. We have not tested the goalkeeper second half-that is poor.
So far in every game I've watched this season, which is all of them, I thought we played better last season.
-
I hate last few minutes at 0-0
Same here and that's regardless of the opposition as even a blind squirrel ....
-
I predicted a 0-0 draw but I never imagined it would be such a poor game. The editors at Match of the Day are going to struggle to put together two minutes of highlights.
-
Throw by their box, all the way back to the keeper!
-
he might be alright if we played with width
I thought Lambert was moving us away from the 'get it out wide and then sling it into the box' style.
-
I'll take the 'solid' no-score draw.
-
I haven't watched the game, but Hull haven't been beat at home yet this season...
-
Roy Hodgson won't be impressed on MOTD, unlucky Gab and Fab.
-
whos Villa MOM?
-
maybe Clark
-

Me too. I think Bennett and Lowton have been unlucky not to feature more. Bacuna and Luna could play in midfield/somewhere further forward perhaps. We miss Benteke, of course
-
whos Villa MOM?
For me...Delph, maybe Clark
-
whos Villa MOM?
Delph for me
-
Stick a foot out Villa!!!
-
Delph is our MOM for me.
-
Fuck off Tonev, you twat.
-
For fucks sake....why shoot!!!???
-
ffs gamble villa
-
I haven't watched the game, but Hull haven't been beat at home yet this season...
They'll go down I'm sure of it.
-
FFS Clark
-
We look determined not to win this game.
-
Delph is our MOM for me.
Easy.
-
We toucha Hull bloke and Birtles thinks it was GBH. Twat.
-
whos Villa MOM?
For me...Delph, maybe Clark
not far off that
-
Fuck off Tonev, you twat.
in fairness it looked like a drilled pass to me.
-
Fucking hell.
-
ANOTHER foul throw
-
another fucking foul throw
-
Fuck off Tonev, you twat.
in fairness it looked like a drilled pass to me.
It was a great ball if one of the 3 in the middle sticks their leg out!
-
What a stinkeroo.
-
Clean sheet number two away from home....not great but not a disaster, I'll take it
-
Crap Villa. not good enough. A boring, run of the mill, mid table team. Crap. Unimpressed
-
Clean sheet. A point. The only positives from a drab match against a team who will be relegated
-
Tedious. Lots of work to do.
-
Corner to them late in the game and we did not concede. I'll take the point.
-
No one in the team has any brains. Hull were there for the taking, and we miss someone that can create.
-
boring bottom 6 style
-
Delph only player on the pitch trying to make something happen. Bacuna gives us energy but no creative players. Hull really were there for the taking. Will take the point and clean sheet ........
