Just for fun:
1-0 Home win.
Burke, 33.
The latest issue of H&V will also be on sale outside the Trinity Road gates for an hour or so before kick-off (i.e. I have nothing better to do so come along and say hello). Only £2.
-
Hopefully we'll get a decent gate. Looking forward to this.
-

I remember when it was 1.20 and a fiver to a Blues fan.

0-0.

This has mostly passed me by. Have we played any other games in this? What were the scores?

We lost 2-0 away to Ajax. Only two games played in our group so far, the other being Ajax 5-1 Fenerbache, Rosenborg are the other team in our group.
-
Anyone know how much it is on the gate?
-
Thanks for that. Will be interesting to see how our boys compete at home against a team like ajax.
-
Currently 2 to Villa right now. Gardner pen and carruthers with the goals
-
Villa well worth their lead, head and shoulders above the turks physically and technically. Their keeper has kept them in it. Gardner really looks a cut above at this level and has dominated the first half
-
Keep us posted lads. Stuck at work watching some meaningless Chelsea game.
-
Pretty good play by our ladd so far. Looking for similar in the second half.
-
4-0
-
Gazza, Burke, Johnson and Carruthers look real gems for the future.
-
Bloody hell, well done the youngsters!
-
we have a 15 and 16yr old on the wings. This lad Grealish is causing a bit of a stir too. I'm going to look forward to watching this on AVTV when it's available.
-
For those watching do we think Gardner is ready?

Keep it quiet...otherwise they will linked with Manu before the night's out!
-
Hope springs eternal thanks to our excellent academy. I fucking love this club. Who else scored?
-
More of the same in the second half, gardner running the show, their keeper making some cracking saves to keep the score down to something resembling semi respectability. A mixture of a very impressive Villa team and pretty ropey turks. We really did play some great, fast paced possession football with nearly all the team looking comfortable on the ball.

I wonder if any of the first team were watching.
-
Carruthers, gardner, Johnson and the number 10 who according to the team sheet is graeme burke.
-
That will do very nicely, indeed.
-
Sounds good. Scorers? EDIT: got 'em thanks PW.
-

Yes - definitely. He was head and shoulders above everything else on the pitch (literally size wise too) and you can tell he is held in high esteem by the other players, as he was the first person most looked to pass it too.
Very enjoyable evening.
-
Very good game. Villa dominated throughout. Carruthers and Gardner look especially good. I set a new record for the number of fanzines sold in an hour aswell.

All of them Turks?

Re Gardner, its difficult to describe how superior he was to anyone else on the field tonight but on the occasions I've seen him for the ressies last year, albeit against good quality opposition, he didn't look quite ready for first team action. He'll be a superstar and we should enjoy him whilst he's here because it won't be for long, whether we should chuck him in now or wait a little longer I'm not so sure about.
-
Very happy with the result. Great showing.

I hope you are wrong there. I'm dreaming of us winning trophies and taking the world by storm with our home-grown lads.

I wondered what the new greenhouses were for at Bodymoor!

How come?
-
It was not exactly well attended.
-
Well done to the lads and looking forward to seeing Gardner in the first team on merit soon. Only disappointment was a crowd of around 800? who attended.
