Legion you always predict us to win...pissed off at being back at school or something?!
Got to be a home win...surely?
Legion you always predict us to win...pissed off at being back at school or something?!what sister site is that please?
Yes. I'm knucking fackered. My saving grace is I've checked my prediction on our sister site and it's a 2-0 home win.
I fear a drab 1-1. A scrambled effort from Dunne or Collins for us, equalised by a once-in-a-lifetime great finish from someone shite like Ameobi. Steven Taylor will get away with a blatant handball on the goal-line in the first half, then get Delph sent off midway through the second half by feigning being shot through the neck with a bow and arrow. You poor pessimistic rounder. Maybe football isn't the game for you.
3-1 to villa. I would start Ireland in this game.

I think i would as well. I'm a big Bannan fan, i love watching the kid play, but i think he's more effective coming off the bench for the last 20 mins at the moment.
Heskey's confirmed as out. A change of system now surely?Bannan - Stan - Delph
N'Zogbia
Gabby - Bent
Talked to a few fans who were watching the last game in a pub in Wylde Green, SC. Their unanimous verdict on Ireland was, 'what's the point of playing him, he's useless.'
I'm still hoping he can contribute. Come on Stephen, let's do the 'player of the year' schtick again!
Villa to win 5 - 1 and Ireland to score and figure in at least three of the other goals!
The thing is that surely if Ireland was impressing and looking like he'd got his shit back together then he would be pushing for starts. But he isn't and Bannan is ahead of him in the pecking order and you have to ask why that is.
Id probably give nutjob a start and hope he finds his form. Another season like last and he'll be virtually unsellable if he's not already

What will you think of him if he does find his form - will you continue to call him 'nutjob' ?
I forgot Given played for them as well! So that's him, The Zog, Ireland and Jenas who have played for them.
Yes, I know we were away.
Unbelievable
Would that be because he treated the club with complete and utter contempt last season?
Serious question.
Is anyone's adrenaline pumping for tomorrow's game ?
For the first time in ages so early on in the season, I'm just going because I have a season ticket.
In fact, would add that it has almost got to the stage where am looking forward to only 3 or 4 home games this season - West Brom because my best mate supports them so it means something, Liverpool because Downing is hopefully going to get some stick, and probably the Manchester clubs because they play decent football !
Serious question.

If we lose tomorrow we will see the first of the McLeish out messages for sure. If we win the same people will say we have had a solid start but too early to say if McLeish knows what he is doing.
I'd like to see this team.
Given
Hutton
Collins
Dunne
Warnock
Albrighton
Petrov
Delph
N'Zogbia
Bent
Agbonlahor
If that is the team, there can't really be any question of attacking intent.
Newcastle travel well. I hope we pack the stadium, and we start to see a turn in the mood of the doubters. It does the team no good at all to see empty seats or a quite stadium. We need it rocking tomorrow.

Fill the stadium...i dont think so
Load of bollocks.Which year was better ?
Sorry if this has been discussed here or elsewhere but I've just read on the Telegraph that McLeish is presiding over our best start in 5 years! Well I never....
Smash hasn't scored for a couple of games, Gabby is on form, even Stan has his eye in - this will be a turkey shoot, 5 Villa goals at least. Newcastle are lucky to have points on the board and have big holes in midfield and a patched up front line - high tempo attacks from the kick off and lets have 3 before people start to drift out for half time refreshments.
Is it on in bar roccoco on Broad Street? My usual pub is showing Smethwick at Swansea! booo

Can I have some of what you are imbibing or have I strayed onto a Man Utd forum by mistake?
Whilst I hope fervently that you are correct, I find these predictions of four or five-nil to us totally baffling, particularly as I see us being pretty much on the same level as the Newcastles of this world these days. God, it hurts saying that...
