Title: Pauline Mclinn Mrs Doyle Father Ted Villa Fan
Post by: hawkeye on January 13, 2011, 10:07:27 PM: Any one hear her on R5 yesterday, at the end asked why she supported Aston Villa, she seemed very knowledgeable about the club, said she didnt think Houlier was the right man for us.

Post by: Chris Harte on January 14, 2011, 08:28:38 AM: I thought the reason she supported Villa was because of the presence of McGrath, Houghton, Staunton and Townsend during the mid-1990s. I didn't listen to the programme and Hawkeye didn't say why.

(Of course, Townsend's accent really comes through when he's being a pundit ;) )

It was "They Think Its All Over." It's also how I know why she's a fan.

I went to school with Katherine Merry, I think she was a Villa fan but I could never keep up with her to ask her properly.
