I'll start;
I spotted Habib Beye with his stunning 'mrs' and daughter in the Bull ring today. I smiled at his mrs, she blanked me. Must be a lesbian!
-
A while back now of course, Olof Mellberg nearly drove over my foot as I walked across the car park at the terminus shopping centre Wylde Green.
-
Not Villa, but I saw Brady and Pesch yesterday in BHS Solihull, lol
-
Chris Nicholl in Sainsbury's, Reedswood quite regularly.
-
Saw James Collins about a month ago in M&S Solihull struggling at one of them self scan checkouts
-
I spotted Lazy, disinterested, serial liar Stephen Ireland twice.
First in 'Syrups R us' on Saturday, he was purcahsing a Chimpanzee, middle parting style Irish jig.
Then in the showroom of a Range Rover dealership, purchasing a ludicrously overpriced salmon pink affair.
I went to speak to him, but he said he couldn't chat as his Grandmother had been swallowed by a Basking Shark off the West coast of Ireland and he was still traumatised by it.
-
Luke Moore was in Touchwood, Solihull one day last week with a very small female friend..
-
Albrighton last week in Top Man with a very strange pink watch on his wrist. Kids eh!
-
Gordon Cowans in Makro, Halesowen. Frozen food section if I remember rightly.
-
Brian Tiler about 40 years ago at the outdoor pool in Sutton Park. He wasn't shopping as such, in fact he was sun-bathing.

I don't think I would have wanted to speak to a 70's throwback wearing slippers and soiled trousers, pissed up on inexpensive lager and slurring incoherently either, although I would have come up with a more elaborate excuse I must admit.
-
i was at villa village the other week and saw Gabby getting off the coach at villa park
-
Nigel Spink in my shop buying desperado beer
-

That would have been about the time I had my bike pinched from outside there. You didn't see a red Raleigh Olympus at the same time did you.
-
Luke Moore was in Touchwood, Solihull one day last week with a very small female friend..
At least he's got gainful employment again. Good on him.
-
Ricardo Scimeca in Solihull Sainsburys about 14 years ago... my dad has seen Curtis Davies in Shirley Sainsbury's last year, every little helps! Oh crap that is tesco.
-
Ive met Ron Saunders twice
Once at Four Ashes driving range and also at Sainsburys Marshall Lake
Very shy and unasuming man
-
I also met Matthius Breitkreutz at the Villa shop about 17 years ago... I was buying the calendar, he was a nice guy, he signed the calendar for me. I wonder what happened to him after he left us?
-
Mo'N - Blackburn - Yesterday.
-
I saw Colin Gibson filling his car up at the Tesco petrol station by the Beggars Bush a few weeks back.
Used to see Villa players every day when I was at Sutton college in the mid-90s. My personal favourite was seeing Nii Lamptey buying a camera and a handful of films from Supa Snaps the day before the trip to Inter. Another memorable one was sitting eating lunch with a Smethwick-following mate the day after the Trabzonspor debacle. Andy T missed a sitter, trying to take a shot on his left peg when he could easily have scored with his right. We saw him walking towards us, my mate shouted "Unlucky last night Andy" and he went "thanks". Then my mate chips back "shame you've only got one foot". Daggers wouldn't be doing the look he gave us justice. I went bright red.
-
Luke Young and Andy Townsend, both in Solihull town centre in recent times.
Not shopping related but saw Melberg and Sorensen at a Foo Fighters gig at the NEC and Nobby Solano out with his Mrs in Sutton, both about 5 years ago.
-
Once stalked Steve Watson in Sainsburys in Sutton for 5 minutes.
Darius Vassell used to live down my road so used to see him driving up and down Penns Lane all the time.
Had a mate who lived on the same road as Allback, again just outside Sutton so another I'd see sometimes.
Nigel Spink and Tony Morley still live in Walmley so see them in the co-op on occasions.
-
Ireland in his shit Land Rover in Wilmslow around 6pm tonight
-
Would like to meet Stephen Ireland in a gun shop
-
Would just like to meet him... And tell him he's a twat.
-
I saw Isiah Osbourne in HMV at The Fort a few months ago.
-
Me and my mate saw Dennis Mortimer walking through the passage by BHS between Union Street and New Street in the 1981 close season. We reported back to other friends that he was now clean shaven, but they didn't believe us and reckoned we'd spotted some other random bloke.
-
I saw Isiah Osbourne in HMV at The Fort a few months ago.
Was he working there?
-
I saw Isiah Osbourne in HMV at The Fort a few months ago.
Was he working there?
Only on loan.
-
I've never seen a Villa player shopping, but in approximately 1987, I did see Newcastle saviour and legend Mirandhinha ("We've got Mirandinha, he's not from Argentina, he's from Brazil, he's fucking brill") in Eldon Square WH Smiths in Newcastle (which, WHS being what they are, probably looks exactly the same even today).
He had a big grin which said "I don't speak the language, so I'll just grin" and his wife looked like a small, over made-up transexual.
-
John Carew at the Fort, in a Next.
Looked really timid and I walked over and said hello, he said hello back and told me to enjoy my day. Nice guy.
-
I played against Darius during the close season in 97-98 after his 2 goals in his European debut, to say he showed me nothing but dust is an understatement.
-
Luke Moore was in Touchwood, Solihull one day last week with a very small female friend..
I used to know a couple of girls who'd boast about having sucked him off.
True story.
-
Saw Ashley Young in Topman in the Bullring the week after his webcam scandle.
Saw Djemba Djemba in the Bullring too, then my mate and I saw him again in Denmark, after we'd played Odense in the Intertoto in the town centre there. He was on Odense's books...
Sorenson near the area of the new Villa shop in town (wasn't open then though).
Warnock and Sidwell, again in the Bullring - the Friday after Warnock's debut at SHA.
-
Saw Darius Vassell after he scored against us for Man City soon after he had left us. We were on our way back from the game, had a couple of pints in Altrincham and went over to the kebab shop (as you do) and whilst we were in there Vass pulled up in his Porshe and ordered 2 Cheeseburgers. Was wearing his City blazer. Said he would always support the Villa and never wanted to leave. Posed for photos and very decent chap.

Oh God, I haven't put my foot in it have I?
Are you fucking him?
-
I love the idea of Mirandinha shopping in WHSmith. I suppose there are very few places in Newcastle where money can be exchanged for goods
-
I've seen loads of players in town. Delfouneso, Knight, Cuellar, Vassell to name a few.
-

I remember your photo.
-
I have a place in Wimbledon Village for work in the week and I live opposite Luke Young so always see him there. Lives with his Mrs and kid and seems unassuming enough. Amazing how much he is there and not at the club though. I have passed him and have resisted the urge to blurt out I am a Villa fan etc. because I think they deserve a private life without thinking some loon from across the road is gonna be knocking on his door after a poor performance. V nice place he's got and just had it a load of work on it.
-
Seen Ashley Young in his local chippy in Hagley village 2 or 3 times.
-
Seen Ashley Young in his local chippy in Hagley village 2 or 3 times.
Was Dunnie with him ? :-)
-
Saw Cueller at the G Market last year. Keep seeing G Macallister at the canalside car park in Brindleyplace - must be living at the Aparthotels there.
I also once disturbed BFR's sunday lunch at a neighbours when I saw his car parked outside. They invited me in and managed to get a programme signed.
-
Not a footballer, but Sarah Falkland of Midland Today did once tell me to leave her alone.
Actually, she more sort of screamed.
-

classy...
i know a similar sort of girl who said her time sleeping around with footballers, including gabby, was, and i quote "a phase"...
pretty much summed up the disgusting little slapper tbh...

or a burnt orange chopper bike?
-
When I lived in London I lived next door to Carlton Cole. Top bloke, hated DoL.
-
I did bump into non football playing, non Villa related, wizened featured professional bore and midget statured magician Paul Daniels one day shopping in Edinburgh.
Did I like it? Not a lot.
-
Spotted Freddie Bouma coming back from new street a few years back, his bird was hot.
Saw big John Carew (twice) coming out of the apartments opposite the mailbox, funnily enough it was at the same time he was humping alesha dixon too. nice one JC.
Zat knight in town.
i think i seen gardner in a baguette shop, but not too sure.
But i've never seen stephen ireland at villa park.................i'll get my coat.
-
Years ago - probably around 1996 time - I was having coffee/breakfast somewhere in Brindleyplace on a Sunday morning with my then girlfriend when Gareth Southgate sat down at the next table. With a stunning, totally 'out of his league' looking woman who I'm pretty sure he went on to marry. We had a brief chat, very friendly bloke.
-
Colin Gibson - Last week coming out of the offie on Boldmere Road, he looked like he had interrupted a bit of decorating to nip out for some cans.
Pat Heard - I was behind him on the Queslett Asda island on Friday.
Tony Morley - In Asda at Minworth last week.
-
Tony Hateley - Bull Ring
and totally unrelated I trod on Lional Blair's foot down Smallbrook Queensway in the 70's
-
I saw Isiah Osbourne in HMV at The Fort a few months ago.
Was he working there?
Class
-
Not a footballer, but Sarah Falkland of Midland Today did once tell me to leave her alone.
Actually, she more sort of screamed.
Is Suzanne Verdy still on Midlands today, she always perked my evening up?
-

Class
Or helping himself?
-
Luke Moore was in Touchwood, Solihull one day last week with a very small female friend..
I used to know a couple of girls who'd boast about having sucked him off.
True story.
I bet after all the hype and a promising start, he failed to fulfil his potential.
-
I saw George Best in the car next to me at the lights.
The disturbing thing is it was only a couple of weeks ago.
-
I'm astonished no one has spotted Richard Dunne coming out of a Greggs.
-
we had just beat ipswich 1 nil at portman road 94/95 i think,me & a couple of mates were waitin for a train back into london & mark bosnich turned up on the platform.
he stood & spoke to us about the game for 10 mins or so,was a friendly bloke.
-
Not a footballer, but Sarah Falkland of Midland Today did once tell me to leave her alone.
Actually, she more sort of screamed.
Is Suzanne Verdy still on Midlands today, she always perked my evening up?
She is indeed. Hands off, she's mine.
I saw Moustapha Hadji in an Italian restaurant owned by Riccardo Scimeca's parents.
-
I saw Petrov in the Mailbox about an hour ago wished him Merry Christmas, mind you Ive met most Villa players in the Mailbox Carew is in their everyday,.
-
I'm astonished no one has spotted Richard Dunne coming out of a Greggs.
Not likely, you would see him going in but need a SWAT team to get him out again.
-
Saw Darius Vassell after he scored against us for Man City soon after he had left us. Me too :¬)

Only with a chainsaw!
-
My lad saw Albrighton and his missus in the car park at Ventura Park, Tamworth earlier this evening. Hardly a revelation really, as that's where he's from!.
-
Back in the mid 90's my friends and I used to drink at Mellow on Broad St every sunday night, we would always see Yorkie, Ugo and Bosnich in their without fail... I even chatted to Brian Lara in there once, nice enough but in love with himself.
-
Derek Mountfield was in Asda Minworth, not long after he was released by Walsall, with a basket full on whiskey.
Steve Staunton can be found at Lichfield RFU watching his son on many a Sunday, trying to keep a low profile away from the Villa bores.
Chris Nicholl eating a carvery alone in The Broadway, Walsall, on a couple of occaisions.
Nearly ran over Phil King & his wife on the zebra crossing near TRW in Wylde Green the Friday after THAT penalty - I hadn't been driving long. They were both a homage to pastle colours.
Dealt with the totally odeous Alistair Roberston whilst working at C&A Walsall - possible the rudest, billy big bollocks of a footballer I've ever had the displeasure to meet.
-
My lad saw Albrighton and his missus in the car park at Ventura Park, Tamworth earlier this evening. Hardly a revelation really, as that's where he's from!.
Deano was NOT born in the car park at Ventura.... although I would advise any mom-to-be not to risk shopping there if they're anywhere near due, that car park can be a bugger to escape!
-
I see Doug Ellis in Waitrose in Mere Green quite regularly
Yes i know he wasn't a player but he tells everyone in Waitrose he was ???
-
Steve Staunton can be found at Lichfield RFU watching his son on many a Sunday, trying to keep a low profile away from the Villa bores.
Are they like the Packington porkers? Villa's own line in gormet sausages running wild round the sports fields of Lichfield.
Many years ago in the Joe Venglos days me and a few mates were playing golf down Beacon park and spotted Derek Mountfield off the green, we shouted him but he tried to ignore us so we ran after him, it was like something out of Benny Hill, eventually Deadly Derek ran out of steam by the car park and begrudgingly signed all our scorecards - he must have thought we were inland revenue or something.
-
Not sure if I've mentioned this before, but the only Villa captain to ever lift the European Cup can be found in Tesco's, Lichfield most Friday mornings on his own, doing the weekly family shop.
-
Colin Gibson - Last week coming out of the offie on Boldmere Road, he looked like he had interrupted a bit of decorating to nip out for some cans.
Pat Heard - I was behind him on the Queslett Asda island on Friday.
Tony Morley - In Asda at Minworth last week.
3 of the class of '82 - all last week?!
Yer 'avin us on mate.
-
I'm astonished no one has spotted Richard Dunne coming out of a Greggs.
Not likely, you would see him going in but need a SWAT team to get him out again.
And a jar of vaseline and a shoe horn.
-
Dealt with the totally odeous Alistair Roberston whilst working at C&A Walsall - possible the rudest, billy big bollocks of a footballer I've ever had the displeasure to meet.
The death stare that he gave me whilst I was sitting in the Directors Box at the Albion, celebrating Milan Baros placing a sweet penalty, will forever stick in my memory. Perhaps 'cos I turned round distinctively aimed to do it in his face.
Brendan Batson sitting next to him however, was quite the gent.
-
I know it's not a villa player but i met Jurgen Klinsmann shopping in birmingham i got to speak to him and he gave me his autograph.
-
Not a Villa player or footballer but just thought I'd post that I saw Gary Newbon in House of Fraser Solihull yesterday
-
Cor
-
I didn't stop an ask for an autograph.......
-
I didn't stop an ask for an autograph.......
Lol he lives on St Bernards road in solihull usually see him about

I went to school with Ally Robertson's son. Like father like son.
Not football related but I saw the King of Spain shopping in Touchwood, Solihull today. (Ashley Giles).
-
I love this thread, next time I am in England with nothing to do on a Friday morning I am staking out Lichfield Tesco's with my 1982 final shirt and a sharpie pen!
-
You could just go to Bodymoor Heath...
-
Not half as much fun as stalking them on a shopping trip though!
How's the snowman?
-
Stalking is way more fun... erm apparently, so I have been told.
-
This is one of the reasons London clubs have an advantage when it comes to attracting star foreign players. Nobody looks sideways ata famous footballer down there.
-
i saw sir barry ferguson in touchwood solihull the other day.....
-

Unless it's John Carew staggering out of Funky Bhudda at 3am..... ;)
-
I thought I saw Richard Dunne in McDonalds Slihull today. It was however..............Dom Jolly!

Seen Ashley Young in his local chippy in Hagley village 2 or 3 times.
Oldswinford Chippy is surely better and nearer... or the Broadway.... Judas bastard going into Worcestershire!
-

Not quite, although had Stan been at the Dads vs Lads challenge last Sunday I'm sure he'd have wished some of the know-it-all's had been on the barbeque instead of some of Packington's gourmet finest.
-

I think he did frequent the Oldswinford one. Not sure he'd even be aware of the one on the Broadway. I know a few people who serve in there. I'll ask.
-
Going back 30 odd years, I was working at a car park in Brum when Pat McMahon and John Gidman came in. Having confirmed who they were I sucked up to them telling them what a great Villa fan I was and what great players I thought they were. When I then charged them for parking they gave me some right stick. Can't blame them really !!
-
Not half as much fun as stalking them on a shopping trip though!
How's the snowman?
He's alright. Have got a pack of hounds at the ready in case those pesky foxes go for him again.
