I'm not sure how many of this season's games, even the wins, I'd like to watch in full after the game was over. Life's too short for reliving Brucey Pragmatism in full.

villa are one of the 11 clubs who have opted out of the EFL streaming deal, so we'll be stuck with AVTV...

Retains the option to do their own no? Either way we should be able to stream it seems! Woot!

"However, the EFL says that 11 clubs still have the provision to offer the streaming through their own digital providers including Aston Villa, Bristol City, Queens Park Rangers and Accrington Stanley."

Hence the questionnaire that was sent out by AVTV? So it seems that perhaps Villa are thinking of showing live games for those abroad that could be rebroadcast later for those in Britain and Ireland.

Well, those hopes dashed ...that bit of good news ( for we ex-pats) didn't last long , if it's  now left in the hands of AVTV ,then we can kiss any thoughts of watching the Villa in foreign climes, adiós !....Godzvilla!

" Aston Villa and Leeds United are two of 11 Football League clubs who have declined to be involved with the EFL’s iFollow service deal.
iFollow is a streaming service that allows subscribers based outside of the UK and Ireland to watch up to 46 of their club’s league games live in HD at a cost £110 per season.
61 of the 72 Football League clubs agreed to be a part of the serve whilst Accrington Stanley, Birmingham City, Bristol City, Charlton Athletic, Derby County, Fulham, Newcastle United, QPR and Wolverhampton Wanderers all declined, meaning they can launch their own independent services, if they so wish.

It appears that Villa might be interested in launching their own unique service, but this is yet to be confirmed".

What happens when a team who said "yes" to EFL streaming plays a team who said "no"? Total blackout, or depends who's the home team?

Perhaps you will have to select a club at sign-up, so you can only watch theirs rather than dance around watching the Villa. As such, two Villa games would be available, but then you'd be "forced" to watch 44 games of Ipswich (for example)...

They get actors to impersonate the opted out team, like when Gerry Adams' voice couldn't be broadcast.

A week away from the season starts and of course Villa still gives fans no way to watch the games. Leeds have now got theirs sorted (its free by the way).

I dont calling out my club for being utterly incompetent but bloody hell, they really are.

edit:
looks like the incompetent one is ME.

Apart from the live games we've announced will be shown on AVTV?

We have had actors impersonating professional footballers at The Villa for the last few years.
