I years ago he was a very hot prospect scoring an outrageous overhead kick.  He’s had an underwhelming season.  It happens to young players (the fact he’s younger than Rogers blows my mind a bit I have to say).  Having watched his clips, I reckon if we get his head right, we will have come out of this with a player who can be top class.

In other words, I’ve come around to this signing!  As others have said, the pearl clutching from pundits can fuck off.

And he's got basically the full pre-season, so Emery can get him nice and settled into what we want before we kick off.

A worldie in Salzburg will be just the tonic, I think.

I think that some of the press this has received is as low as i have ever seen - bordering on scandalous - and from the likes of our "own" Gabby who should be ashamed.

That above all else i really hope this kid is coached* to really fulfil his potential. The thought of him sitting on the advertising hoarding at Mould Trafford after scoring a goal gives me the horn.

*These wanky pundits miss all the details in us having an elite coach

He took a nobody from Boro and made him the most expensive English player
He took a finished Rashford and got him not only back into the England team but his dream move to Barcelona

And elite coaching is the difference

I just hope we don’t have another Coutinho on our hands.

Coutinho was at the back end of his outstanding career. Not really the same.

fully expect Rory Twat Jennings and tell us all his hood up on a sunny day are the signings of a bad signing and a terrible person who kills family pets for fun. And that gobshite Gabby, Villa legend with the best attitude ever while playing for us agreeing with him.

I don't know who Rory Jennings is and I have no idea what Gabby thinks about anything. Step away from the Talksport.

Quite right. How do people even know what they think if they hate them so much? It's like moaning about electricity as you step into the bath holding a toaster. If you're getting upset, it may be your own fault.

Plus he’s wearing a Nike hoodie instead of Adidas. That’s a sure sign that he drives below the speed limit while in the fast lane, and doesn’t use his indicators. The puppy killing twat.

Indeed I don’t get why people listen to Talksport or content from it. I used to occasionally listen 20 + years ago and there did feel like some reasoned debate present back then. It is now about extreme opinions to start arguments, enrage people, and generate clicks/views through that. If people disengage with it they’ll have to change eventually.

I've never listened to talksport, I've never watched a podcast with Jennings on and I genuinely have no idea where else I may come across anything directly from him but, even without it being mentioned on here, I've seen quotes from him in 3 or 4 places about Garnacho so I reckon just by using the internet and being interested in Villa it's pretty hard to not know what him and Gabby think about this transfer.

Maybe you've managed to avoid it by not looking at any news sites about football, not using any social media and not engaging with any discussion on football or Villa outside this site, instead happily existing in a bubble but that's not a universal thing that is even remotely reasonable to expect of everyone.

I live in that sort of bubble when it comes to a lot of other topics but as soon as you have any interests on the internet you're going to see opinions of twats, it's just inevitable.
