What does this mean sorry? Like, the usual journalists of some reliability have told us. What else could we have for proof? Emails between Unai and Olabe? Perhaps hidden camera footage?

So there is no actual evidence, there are no words from the man himself but we are being told to swallow it up that Unai wanted him.

You don't have to "swallow" anything. But there were reports last summer that we wanted to sign him and this summer we have signed him.

So the second part happening gives greater weight to the first part being true.

I watched that video last night coming home on the train and didnt realise how  good he looks on the right wing too.

He's quite 2-footed which helps a lot in that regard. The biggest problem Bailey has had is that he isn't confident on his right so he's always looking for a way to get onto his left, which makes him a little bit predictable. Sancho had a similar problem, and it's also why both of them look slower than Garnacho because in a flat race I reckon there's not much between the 3 of them.

I'm still unsure about this transfer but there's clearly enough raw ability there so now it's all about whether Emery can get his head right.

Lots of Man U fans (and more importantly columnists) NEED him to be shit (same as Rashford and Lindelof) to justify the time they've spent blaming a handful of players for their failings. If the players go elsewhere and are actually good it throws that whole argument out and they have to reflect on whether maybe the club itself has been a fucking mess and has spent a decade treating the symptoms.

For all those flapping about UEFA sanctions etc - i am sure i read previously that we have to "consult" with them on every transfer prior to it happening as that is how tough the rules they placed upon us.

This is spot on. Just like every paper / media outlet pushed the Rogers to Arsenal story - once he signed for the Chelsea mob - did any one of them come out and say "oops we got that wrong and Villa  / Chelsea have complety done us"

Not just Unai, the players have to show how collective effort pays dividends. Basically he needs to buy in, focus on his football, like Rashford did by keeping his head down and ignore the press and start enjoying his football again. It could be the perfect move for him, surrounded by fellow Spaniards, a welcoming group of players with no major egos, all ambitious and winners who want more success. Why not?

Wtf do you expect?  Unai to do a press conference to say "don't worry kids, I wanted this transfer"

Even if he says he's delighted in a press conference, it means nothing - he's hardly going to come out and say, nah he's shite is he?

Yes but we've hired Risso and Ads since then. Their reduced time on H&V is for the greater good and they are totally over this.

There's a Man U podcaster called Alice, always speaks so highly of the Villa, smart girl and she made the point that Gamacho has become a hate figure for no real reason. Yes he (through his brother) released the team sheets ahead of a few games but really, he doesn't deserve the shit fired at him. He wanted out of Man U, well they wanted him out so is he to blame for that? He really needs to start with a clean slate and let his football and hard work do his talking. Maybe give social media or those around him posting on his behalf a rest. That's it. Simple.

Even Goldbridge today wasn't writing him off as he knows he's a cracking player. It should be an easy fix and I don't believe he's as crazy as Duran.
