Where is the actual evidence that Unai wanted him?
What does this mean sorry? Like, the usual journalists of some reliability have told us. What else could we have for proof? Emails between Unai and Olabe? Perhaps hidden camera footage?
So there is no actual evidence, there are no words from the man himself but we are being told to swallow it up that Unai wanted him.

You don't have to "swallow" anything. But there were reports last summer that we wanted to sign him and this summer we have signed him.

So the second part happening gives greater weight to the first part being true.

He's certainly got the talent and I never realised just how fast he is. Over to you, Unai..

I watched that video last night coming home on the train and didnt realise how  good he looks on the right wing too.

He's quite 2-footed which helps a lot in that regard. The biggest problem Bailey has had is that he isn't confident on his right so he's always looking for a way to get onto his left, which makes him a little bit predictable. Sancho had a similar problem, and it's also why both of them look slower than Garnacho because in a flat race I reckon there's not much between the 3 of them.

I'm still unsure about this transfer but there's clearly enough raw ability there so now it's all about whether Emery can get his head right.

Not a fan of this deal, but it's interesting that for a player that's supposedly been written off, there's quite a lot of column inches about it this morning.

Lots of Man U fans (and more importantly columnists) NEED him to be shit (same as Rashford and Lindelof) to justify the time they've spent blaming a handful of players for their failings. If the players go elsewhere and are actually good it throws that whole argument out and they have to reflect on whether maybe the club itself has been a fucking mess and has spent a decade treating the symptoms.

A polite reminder not to forget that we used to fish in the pond that contained Grant Holt and the Djemba twins.  Thankfully we've moved on.

A very valid point and best remembered before we become a little above our own station

The fact signing him is triggering so many makes me want him more. I love you Garny!

You wait till he scores at Villa Park, jumps on the advertising boards, and then tips back and falls into the gaping pit in the North Stand.

For all those flapping about UEFA sanctions etc - i am sure i read previously that we have to "consult" with them on every transfer prior to it happening as that is how tough the rules they placed upon us.

Its not like they go to UEFA and shout "Surprise" and drop a contract in front of them

This is spot on. Just like every paper / media outlet pushed the Rogers to Arsenal story - once he signed for the Chelsea mob - did any one of them come out and say "oops we got that wrong and Villa  / Chelsea have complety done us"

Did they hell as like.

If our team headed by Olabe and Virigany have fucked this up and we lose out on the Rogers money then they should both be sacked with immediate effect.

I think they just might know a little about doing their jobs to not have ballsed this up

Hopefully. But there is plenty of smoke that we either have or had people doing recruitment for us that aren't quite over the detail of what they're doing.
