I thought Shakira referencing SJM with her dance moves was genius.

Did Shearer say something about the 3 muppets on the gantry? And he didn't mean the Muppets? I had to go and get a glass of wine to make watching this slightly less painful.

He was asked about his favourite moment from the half time show!

Is anyone watching this on ITV? Was it just ads they were showing while the BBC promoted themselves? It seemed to go on forever.

I like the BBC.

I don't like everything it does, or agree with the way it does it. But it does so MUCH good stuff - and gets so much flak - that I don't mind them making the case from time to time.

It does. I just felt that was pants.

It's a good job they didn't have to ask Roy Keane's opinion on it!

I like the BBC, and I think we should definitely have a non-commercial broadcaster.

I just wish it didn’t waste so much money trying to do everything, paying people who don’t add much a fortune (like former players on MOTD), and producing things like soaps whose audience will always be catered for by commercial channels.

Shearer just used one letter too many saying it was a scrappy start to this half. The letter S in case of doubt. Me persevering with this is hopefully the curse to make it suddenly more exciting.

I went for a walk on the half time whistle, and arrived back in time to see the players returning for the second half. Perfectly timed, or so I thought. Turns out I've missed The Muppets.

You didn't miss a lot. They were just discussing the first half.

Wayne Rooney just saying he thought it was crap on live TV. Comedy gold but he'll never work for BBC again.
That's a win-win then.
