I think if it’s true that the manager is blaming his squad, and the squad is blaming the manager, then that’s the end.

Yep, Tuchel better off leaving for his own reputation anyway with those players leaking to their media mates left right and centre. WC semi final on paper is decent (on a par with pre WC expectations). For his CV, getting England to the final would have been monumental. Needs to figure out what went wrong at Bayern (a guy who relegated Burnley is doing ok there), the end at Chelsea was kind of glossed over too, 100m on Lukaku should have meant a PL title. He gave up on him a few months later.

I'm sure he regrets those subs now, not that he will ever admit it. Plus theres more than an element of truth about his "English DNA" comments but best to keep to himself. Not bringing on Ollie for Kane last two games was his big mistake, Nyland throwing in the winner in the QF prevented Norway taking them to a penalty shoot out. Too much faith in Kane and Rice and poor squad selection were his and England's downfall. When he turned to his bench the other night with James and Rice gassed, he didn't rate the likely options. Also at 1-1, he still had two subs left and he needed a time out quickly. It didn't even matter who he took off but was time to reset and get in for extra time.

I this that this headline has been cut off mid-sentence.

It should continue "... being substituted"

The winners on Sunday will receive rings à la the Super Bowl.

Should England ever host the tournament again, I think we should present beer tankards like they used to at the League Cup final.

Around 7,000 tickets are still listed on Fifa's ticket sites for Saturday's World Cup bronze medal match between England and France.

Although I think that such matches are pointless, I did go to the 3rd Place Play-off* for the 1991 Rugby World Cup down at the old Arms Park in Cardiff.
Free ticket through work.....just the ticket...no hospitality

Or a blankety-blank chequebook and pen.

If it was on down the bottom of my street I’d probably go as long as it was no more than a £30 away ticket

I've seen one of those. My sister was a contestant on it during the Lily Savage years.

I'm not sure if I will watch it. The most interesting thing for me is the situation between Tuchel and the players and will there be a reaction or strops?

I couldn't give a shit about third or fourth or anything. (It's fourth, obviously).

Thirty rings will be made available to the world champions, and a further 1,996 rings will go on sale to fans. Each ring will include a mini World Cup trophy in its design and an engraving in the band.

So essentially they won't be exclusive like the medals are. Rings supplied by the Trump organisation I suspect (Made in China).

Thanks for that. That music's probably the worst earworm it's possible to have. Great.
