I can see why people are saying he was protecting the ball, and yes you would in that position, but he put his leg back toward the defender to do it, rather than naturally between the defender and the ball.

Was always a risk that would be construed as initiating the contact.

Eze has been a hopeless substitution; Saka not much better.

Spence got in front of the defender, doesn’t matter if he moved his leg out to protect the ball.Penalty all day long.

He didn't move it to protect the ball, he seemed to ensure it was specifically tangling with the defenders legs, hence the initiating the contact call.

That’s a clear penalty for me. Irrelevant he stuck his leg in front of him he was bundled over! They over thought that one!

Don't talk wet.

You thought there was no contact?

Of course there was contact. Spence threw his leg back and went over. Never a penalty, which is why people with eyes overturned it.

Never a pen. He stuck his own leg out for Bobb to run into. What esle could Bobb do in that situation?

Exactly. Thats a penalty!
Not if he initiated the contact

He moved his leg back, wrapped it around the defender and fell on the ground. Should have been a yellow

Norway were a better balanced team but didn’t seem to have the squad and ran out of steam!

Rogers seems to be more like a six. Eze and Bellingham further forward. Very odd.

Saka has at least created some stuff and defended well a couple of times. Eze has done nothing.
