I can't ever remember being entertained watching Switzerland play. I knew they would eke out a win somehow. Solid but no exciting play or intent. It makes me want Argentina to beat them.

Best gane ever.

To fall asleep during and wake up as they did the penalty coin toss.

Bad finishing did for Colombia rather than the shootout.  Was hoping for a "feisty" match with Argentina!

Argentina & Morocco the only non-European teams left now.  Wasn't expecting that this time last week when the knockout stage started.

Maybe, but I suspect they'd rather have faced Colombia.

Sebastian Hutchinson and Andros Townshend. Like shopping at Nisa, perfectly adequate but something doesn't feel quite right.

I prefer them to most commentary duos. Maybe because I don’t hear them much and they haven’t had time to annoy me like so many of the others, or because they’re both decent on the Grauniad pod.

Egypt think that because they scored another after the disallowed goal they would have won the game. That supposes they would have scored again after the disallowed effort, which as the gane would have played differently was not a case. And 3-0 would have just meant extra time even if the game played out exactly the same. Also Zico thought he had won the game from his reaction after the "2nd" goal went in anyway.
