That’s a superb pass from the floppy haired prick in fairness. Very nice goal to make it 3-0

The BBC obviously don't know who a lot of the celebs are today as just crickets when it shows some of them.

Lovely passing by Spain in this game: we can only dream of England doing half as well at sea level, let alone at altitude in Mexico City on Monday morning!  :'(

I bailed on this at HT as it was never going to be interesting. I bet Switzerland v Algeria at 4am will have awful viewing figures.

Complete mismatch. Pedri in particular was outstanding.

I did a bit of trekking in the Andes, at about 4500m.  When I say trekking, I put the tent up and then had a lie down.  It wasn't fun.

And I had a really bad upset stomach.  Less Touching the Void, more Touching Cloth.  I fear our brave lads will find themselves Linekered out there.

4500m is an altitude where you can get altitude sickness, and then you normally need to descend as soon as possible. 2000m is is not that bad, you may get a bit out of puff but it's not life threatening.

And England have adopted walking football now so it should also have less of an impact on them.

I was trying to explain the football pyramid of all things.

Altitude sickness for someone doing some casual trekking will be at a much higher height than for elite sportsmen playing football. England probably won't get sickness but they will absolutely be affected by the altitude in ways Mexico won't be.
