I'm a year off 70 and still put a wallchart up during tournaments. My other half does draw the line at my having pictures of Watkins, McGinn, Mings etc on the bedroom wall.

Apparently Germany haven't won two consecutive World Cup games since 2006.

Do you mean in the group stages? They won the tournament in 2014 after all.

Yeah, must have been that. I was parrotting what I heard from German TV. I forgot about 2014, i have been so used to Germany being rubbish the last few years.

The £100m player Diomande might want to change his boots…think he has concrete ones on for first 1/4 hour :-)

"Here in England a lot of kids whose families arrived from S Asia would probably have been more interested in cricket."

Or Pharmacy and Accountancy.  ;D

Is this where you tell us about your off piste activities Aftab?
I can mix a potion to fix your gout and whilst there also do your yearly tax return😊 Dad would be proud of me even though I chose Engineering.

Haha…thought exactly the same. That one run knocked £20M off his asking price

My child's been hitting his wall-chart permutations, and reckons that Germany - France in R16 and Netherlands - Morocco in R32 is pretty likely.

They'd be good for earlyish in the tournament.
As a 52 kid, Ive just consulted my own wallchart, could be a last 32 Brazil vrs Japan game as well, potentially tasty.

Not sure if it’s still the case but São Paulo, a few years back, used to have the biggest Japanese population outside of Japan, quite a few links with the countries apparently.

It’s always good to see Germans fall behind

Incidentally, if we do need to add another midfielder that is a bit Kamara and a bit Onana, then Kessie on a free at age 29 wouldn't be a terrible idea at all.

I  am here to ask the same question. I think he’s very good, an antidote to Lee Lazy Dixon and ever so hindsight McCoist.

It's Andros Townsend he's good.

In Saudi isn’t he? Could be difficult to prize away.

Out of contract in two weeks. Maybe after making his billions he fancies one last go at doing it properly.

As long as Guessand doesn't talk to him too much.
